Description
Welcome to our retreat space, nestled on a beautiful bluff overlooking a peaceful lake. Our property consists of three houses and several independent rooms, all designed with sustainability in mind—we rely on solar energy, compost our waste, and recycle water to minimize our environmental impact.
We offer a tranquil and inspiring environment where volunteers can engage in nature, meditation, and the arts. As an artist, I enjoy painting, sculpting, writing, gardening, and playing drums and guitar, and I love sharing these passions with like-minded individuals.
Our space functions as both a rental property and a retreat center, primarily hosting Vipassana Meditation workshops. I studied Vipassana under Acharn Tong from Thailand and have taught this transformative technique. Volunteers with an interest in meditation will find this an enriching place to practice and learn.

🧘♂️ Meditation & Mindfulness – Learn or deepen your Vipassana Meditation practice in a serene environment.
🗣️ Spanish Lessons – If you're interested, I can help you learn or improve your Spanish during your stay.
🎶 Music & Dance Jams – I often have musician friends over, and we’ve been known to have spontaneous dance parties, music jams, and drum circles.
🎵 Concert Outings – If I’m heading into town for a music concert, volunteers are welcome to tag along!
Help
We welcome open-minded, creative, and self-motivated individuals who are eager to contribute to our community. In particular, we are looking for volunteers with skills in:
✅ Documentary Filmmaking & Videography – We’d love to capture the essence of this place through video. If you have experience filming and editing, we’d appreciate your help in creating content that showcases our sustainable lifestyle, artistic projects, and meditation retreats.
✅ Fish Pond Building & Maintenance – We are working on developing and maintaining natural fish ponds. If you have knowledge of pond construction, water systems, aquaculture, or general maintenance, your expertise would be invaluable.
✅ Gardening, Construction & Maintenance – Help with organic gardening, general repairs, and creative eco-building projects.
✅ Artistic Projects – If you love painting, sculpting, or other forms of creative expression, you’ll find plenty of inspiration here!

Accommodation
🛏️ Accommodation may be shared with other volunteers. We have many unique rooms, a communal kitchen area.
⏳ Work is 5 hours a day, 5 days a week in exchange for accommodation plus one communal meal each day.

Live just outside Valle de Bravo, a beautiful town on a lake a short bus ride from Mexico City. You can visit museums and art galleries, enjoy lake activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, and boat tours and experience the vibrant local culture, markets, and restaurants.
