Update for August/september: We’re looking for help in the garden. It’s garden time and there’s a lot to do. 🥳 We’ll need also construction and wood helpers, maintenance and help with the horses. Please make sure you want to stay at a farm with different tasks. If you think you’re the person who would be happy here and who could do this, please contact us asap.
---------------
We are a Belgian couple that bought a 18 th century farm in Vabre-Tizac, Aveyron France.
We are starters here on workaway but know the concept and practice thoroughly.
With us you have a beautiful variety of activities:
- growing and transforming fruit, vegetables, herbs & permaculture
- construction & woodwork
- making Belgian chocolates and cakes
- horsemanship & acadamic work
- construction off the land
- working with horses on the land
- cleaning and cooking
- maintenance
- renovation
- DIY projects
- forest maintenance
- ...
Off course we don't do everything in 1 week, but we do ask people to be prepared to help us with several tasks and want to live and work with us. Feel welcome to contact us, so we can give you an idea what is possible in a given period.
This region is the new place to be. It is a mixture of old and new people and there are a lot of new initiatives.
We like an easy way of living and expect that people blend in and want to learn about the things we do and the lifestyle we both love. We want to share our respectfully way of living and expect also respect for our animals, the nature around us and our property.
We want to give you a good guidance and explanation for all tasks, we put a lot of energy in this, so we ask you to commit to at least 2 weeks with us.
We speak Dutch, French and English. If needed we also speak a very little bit German.
My husband was IT worker and I was a philosophy teacher. This project is the combination of all our passions that we like to share.
See you in "la douce France"
Kind regards
Piet & Myriam

Help
We're looking for people who help us with several tasks and want to live and help us. So we do expect you to blend in and not to force rules on us and how we should live. We worked long before being able to create a lifestyle we both love. So we're very keen to maintaining our lifestyle that's much appreciated by people and want to share our respectfully way of living. Therefore we only want people who like and respect nature and animals, aren't arrogant, are curious, friendly and want to work and learn things.
If you have skills or you really like to do stuff, let us know. We'll see what we can do.
Every season has his own tasks,
Everything is part of our sustainability project.
Before you come we want to talk with you (zoom, teams, ...).

What else ...
You can really relax on our property.
You can go to concerts, have lovely walks, work with horses, be in nature with animals.
