    Description

We are a family of 2 persons living on a small organic farm in Norway. We have a lot of projects going on here (restoring the house, building up an organic garden, tending to our chickens and cats, etc.), and would love some help any time, really! We offer a free place to stay and 3 meals a day if you're willing to help out with the daily workload and chores around here, in addition to the various projects that come up. Thanks to our good workawayers, we have now a roof over the chicken pen and cladding of the outside of our cabin.

If you come in the cold season, we have to inform you that our bedrooms are without heating. You get blankets and whatever you need to be warm under, but the room will remain quite cold.
Also good to tell that R-H is quite noisy (but not unfriendly), so it is good to be able to handle that.

Still we need people that can use a saw, hammer and nails and also are handy in other building skills. People that can see what needs to be done, and interested to ask and participate in what we are doing
We prioritize people that like a longterm stay. Sometimes also we can happen to find paid jobs.
It is not bad to have skills, and enjoy to ride dressage with horses. That would actually help.

In winter time it is time for enjoy the snow, we have alpina center pretty close and we have cross country tracks, some with lights so we can go in the evening. To build snow men and snow lanterns is also something we do when the weather is right. At the same time we appreciate some help with removing the snow ;-)

To be in our family can lead to everything, from normal house chores when you live in a family to things that suddenly pop up. We also like to give friends and family a hand :-) And hope you are positive to do that.

We have a piano, three guitars, a keyboard, but we gave away the drum set. We do have shaman drums here, then, four at the time.. And we are happy for people who knows music and like to use the instruments. We are especially happy to welcome Argentinians (for the time being we miss Argentinians, they have a tendency to leave after a while).. or other spanish speakers, also if you speak just a little spanish can be good, because there are often spanish speakers here. And if you don`t speak spanish, we are happy for people willing to learn new languages.

By the way, it's not too early to contact us regarding next year :)

We had some experience now, telling us that workawayers from outside the Schengen area need to have a working holiday visa in order to be permitted to do workaway in Norway. To work with children and other care professions you need a certificate of criminal record, and you still have to take this document to the Norwegian police to see if they can fix a Norwegian one for you.

And last, but not least: When we have agreed to you coming here, it's a good idea to send us a copy of your working holiday visa. We are required to check it...
