    Description

Hey there! Great to see you checking out our profile. We are Ard and Diedeke, and in June 2025, we bought an old farmhouse in the mountains of Asturias. We are currently living in a self-built tiny house (next to the farmhouse) on our property of two hectares.

Facilities for guests on-site are fairly minimal, but you'll have everything you need: an outdoor kitchen, a compost toilet, a washer/dryer combo, power, and Wi-Fi. For your accommodation, we offer a spacious cotton tent. The spot and the views are absolutely phenomenal, and the nature surrounding us is breathtaking. We are located right between Arriondas and Ribadesella.

If you feel like spending some time helping in the garden, doing satisfying projects, cooking, or simply joining in on our daily family life (no pressure at all!), you are more than welcome.

Life is quite busy for us at the moment with two young kids (a 4-year-old and a newborn), but we are always up for a good chat. Diedeke is a psychologist, and before buying our place here, I worked as a freelance marketing and communications consultant.

We've met quite a few like-minded people in the area by now, and you're more than welcome to hang out and meet everyone too! I’ve also recently picked up surfing and would love to take you along if you're up for it

A large cotton tent equipped with an air mattress, sleeping bags, and plenty of warm blankets. You can prepare your meals in outdoor kitchen, where (cold) running water is available. As said, everything is a bit minimal at the moment...hope this doesn't scare you.

We’ll provide meals, snacks, etc., or groceries so you can cook for yourself. It just depends a little on what works for all of us!

Having a car is highly recommended. In theory, you could reach the surrounding villages on an e-bike, but it’s probably not ideal given the terrain.

We don't have rigid rules around here. If we feel like a good match, we can simply chat beforehand about expectations on both sides
