Description

My wife, dog ( border collie) and I are now officially Nomads. Having sold our house in the UK in 2023 we now travel the globe in our converted van. We have a base in Bosnia, where we spend approx 4 months of the year. The rest of the time our intention is to meet new people in new places and broaden our life experiences.

I am a qualified electrician who has worked in construction for over 20 years. I enjoy being out doors, cycling, walking, hiking, skiing, canoeing, surfing basically anything active in the fresh air makes me happy.

Hayley is a Digital Nomad doing Finance Mentoring for Small Businesses approx 15 hours per week. After studying and working in accounts in her earlier career, she then moved into Construction as a Finance Director. She now uses this knowledge to help other businesses flourish.

JJ our dog is now 2 years old and very well trained and behaved. After 10 mins with new people or new animals (of any kind), as long as they are kind to him, he returns with kindness.

I’m fit, active and handy. As a qualified electrician working in construction for over 20 years I can turn my hand to most things, I especially enjoy carpentry.

My wife is a qualified accountant and an excellent cook. She loves to organise, and is a great people person. She will always get stuck in.

As a family we are very easy going and are simply looking to experience life to the full. Hayley is a great cook, and loves to entertain, she also loves playing games, and teaching people to play. JJ loves to play fetch with anyone that will throw a ball - or stone - pine cone - stick - he's very resourceful and will basically find anything to give you that he thinks can be thrown.

This wonderful family supported us 3 weeks. They did super good work. Paul helped in all kind of restoration /construction issues, Hayley cooked super delicious food and hosted the guests while supporting the restoration at the same time.

We had the most amazing time volunteering at the camp. We got involved with the other staff, Volunteers and all the hostel goers, and made some great memories. Can was a great host and provided everything we needed for a comfortable workaway and stay. Kas is a lovely town to explore and lots to see and do. We will miss the team. Thank you 🙏.

Accomidation (private en-suite room) food ( 3 meals a day prepared by other workawayers) and facilities ( pool, steam room, sauna) were really good.

Great week with Marina, made to feel very welcome. Evening meals were always great. Marina took us to watch the sunset one evening which was beautiful, and on our day off offered to take us for walks and to see the local sights. Ran us down to the shop when anything was required. Work was organised and well thought out.
