Merhaba arkadaşım 🙋🏼♂️ welcome to Türkiye 🇹🇷
Can Mocamp is the first backpackers hostel&cbungalow establishment in the region of Kas. With its gardens, bungalows, stone house dormitory and landscaping cut into the hillside, the authentic charm has been kept alive since 1985.
After having been demolished during the construction of Kaş Marina and land route in 2011, the facility has been reconstructed in the same concept in accordance with its authentic structure with a project and a call for volunteers.
International volunteers were the heros of reborn Can Mocamp 🙏🏻.
In 2021 Livorno restaurant (stone oven Italian cousina) was founded and become a very well known name in Turkey in a very short time) 🍕🧿
In 2024 with the new swimming pool, facility had been converted a DIVING RESORT as well. Can Mocamp guests and you (as a host) can take all levels of scuba diving training and certification.🤿
My name is Can. I am an agricultural engineer (Plant pathologist). After 10 years of agro business in Istanbul I moved to Kas¸ and have been running the camp for 20 years with my family.
We (me & my wife) spend the winter season in Koh Tao, Thailand 🇹🇭 and working as an diving instructor. We can help you to plan rest of your trip after Turkey.
Because the mission of Workaway is the cultural share, I kindly request my citizens (Turkish) not to send any request🤷🏻♂️🫶.
Important note: people who give a commitment to come and do not do it without an excuse ( informing at least 5 days before) will be reported to Workaway council. 🤷🏻♂️

THE ROLES AND TYPES OF WORK FOR VOLUNTEERS are as follows:
BEFORE & BEGINNING OF THE SEASON (March,April,May)
- for refreshing the art paintings ,
- supporting the restoration (painting and gardening mainly)
- supporting the restaurant
DURING THE SEASON (May-October)
- Pool & Scuba training affair:
Will be responsible from the cleanness and safety of the pool and scuba equipment. This volunteer will asist the instructor during the course and organise activities (party, games) in the pool. This long term volunteer can also take all the levels of scuba diving and can become a professional at the end of the season .
- General supports to professional stuff for daily work.

It was my first workaway experience but I think it will be difficult to find place that will be same great as this camp. Can and Selgun has built a place with very good vibe and great care for the volunteers. I had been staying there for 3 weeks and really enjoyed everyday being there.

What an incredible and unique experience to experience Turkish culture and learn the language while relaxing in the turkish riviera. I stayed almost 3 weeks in April 2018. Wonderful people! it was such an amazing experience for us. everything was perfect, the city, the guest house and especially Can :)
we were there at the end of March, which is not the crowded time. so there was not much work to do.we paint some wooden frame and some digging and harvesting thing.

Can and his team really know how to create a wonderful place.

We worked with för 3 weeks. His positive energy is reflecting everywhere he touches. Whatever He does is doing very good. He is Extremely easy going and intelligent. He did my hardest painting job always with a Smile. At thé end the work was much well done than a professional hand.

This is everything you could want in a campsite: a wonderful location across the street from the sea in scenic Kas, easy-going staff, great food, and interesting campers from around the world.
