I had the pleasure of staying with Emmeline and Sol for 6 weeks in their beautiful home. This was my first Workaway experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. Emmeline’s communication was clear from when I had initially contacted her right to the end of my stay. She gave me so many great recommendations on places to visit on the island and even invited me on memorable days out. In addition, her circle of friends were just as kind and genuine as she is. She was so welcoming and motivational. Looking after Sol was such a heartwarming experience. He is so kind and intelligent with great energy, I enjoyed learning about Minecraft. Emmeline and Sol really made my time in Mallorca feel like a home away from home. Alaro is a picturesque town filled with the greatest vibes. Everyone that I encountered was so friendly and I felt so safe. In addition, the public transport to palma is very reliable which meant I could explore the island with ease. I’m grateful for this unforgettable experience thank you so much Emmeline and Sol!!

Thank you so much for this beautiful feedback. I really enjoyed staying with you and taking part in different types of projects – painting, wood work, isolating, repairing and gardening were all meaningful for me. I loved seeing real progress with my own hands. My English communication became much more fluent during my stay because you gave me space, patience and so many conversations. You were very supportive. We learned vegetarian dishes from each other and shared knowledge from Hungarian, Norwegian and Argentinian kitchen – that part was also a gift for me. I appreciated the calm rhythm of the days, the forest walks, our talks, the meditation evenings and I loved Coco too. I also really enjoyed my tinyhouse – it felt cozy, atmospheric and I valued having my own space to rest and recharge. I felt that you were attentive about what type of work suited me best each day, and that made the cooperation even smoother and more natural. I left your place with new skills, inspiration and clarity. I’m grateful for the trust and for how you welcomed me in your home and into your projects. I would be happy to come back anytime in the future.

Sebastian stayed for 2 weeks in October. He was a good worker and worked hard on a verity of jobs around the land. He also cooked some great meals while he was with us. We had some lovely days out togeather walking and looking around the area. Sebastian was good company and loves the out doors like us! Thank you and good luck with everything. Keep in touch. Working alongside Fate was a fantastic experience. From the very beginning, through messages, Fate explained her skill set and expressed her enthusiasm for taking professional photos and videos around the hostel. We agreed upon a system with Fate in which she gets an extra day off a week, in exchange for her taking photos whenever she felt the lighting or atmosphere was ideal for a good shot. Fate went above and beyond our expectations. Whist also being a friendly and organised member of the kitchen breakfast staff, she was also consistently and at every opportunity capturing fantastic photos of moments throughout the hostel. Not only did Fate take the time to take all of these photos, she also put a great deal of work into editing every single photo so that the colours and lighting matched the vibe of the photos, for example warm and cosy for the photos during breakfast, with brighter blue shades for the photos lounging by the pool. The amount of dedication Fate put into this task has given us so much content to work with, which we will most definitely be using not only for the upcoming months and years for uploads onto social media, but these photos will most definitely be staying for many many years to come at the top of web pages web pages related to the hostel, such as WorkAway, Hostelworld and our upcoming website. Thanks so so much to Fate for transforming our hostel's professionalism and aesthetic appearance online! I really don't think we could have had photos as good as this if we were to hire a photographer for money, due to Fate's daily consistency in capturing every moment throughout her stay.

Este tiempo con Andrés, María, y Gurg fue una experiencia positiva en todos los aspectos. Ellos se aseguraron de que yo no faltaba de nada, y Maria se tomó el tiempo de explicar cosas para que todo quedara claro. Trabajar en la huerta rosada todos las mañanas fue un placer, y la cocina de Andres es espectacular! Por las tardes, me quedaba en casa, muy cómoda, para hacer mi trabajo en línea. Una experiencia que haría de nuevo sin hesitación, y espero volver a ver os algún día.

Pit was here for about 1 month and he worked hard and was a pleasure to be around from beginning to end. He was very attentive and flexible, doing the work that had the highest priority, checking in with me regularly, and offering help whenever he saw I needed it. On busy days he offered to cook, which was a real treat as he is excellent in the kitchen. We ate together in the evenings and had many very interesting discussions. The also made good friends with my dog and played with her daily. I can highly recommend him.

Hola Kiko, Karen, and the 5 lovely cats (More, Liana, Yoda, Cheto and Trucha). I want to thank you for the beautiful experience. To anyone looking for a vibe where you truly feel welcome, comfortable, and at home. This is it. This in my opinion is THE perfect place to stay in Guanajuato. I stayed here when there were 5 other volunteers, which made it lively, but there's always room to be on yourself. Thanks a lot and best of luck with your food trucks and hostel!

We were super lucky that Josip and Lucia spontaneously found their way to the castle in the fall. We had a lot of fun with them, and it was easy to strike up a conversation and exchange travel stories. They were always willing to help and go above and beyond, always making sure the final result was satisfactory and even going the extra mile. It was also nice that they constantly shared their experiences with us, allowing us to learn new things for our daily castle life. Since there's always something going on at the castle, it was all the more relaxing for me that they were able to find work themselves and see where help was needed. Thank you for your support, and I hope for a rematch at the ping-pong table sometime in the future!

Thank you sooo much Lori for showing up and staying with us! Really organized, a lot of knowledege and experience that really fit our needs.. always with a smile and super positive about everything! Super easy to work with, fast learner, great teacher, and an amazing person! Thanks for sharing so much with us, for creating a super good atmoshpere and for always helping more than asked and needed. I stayed there for a little over two months, but unfortunately only towards the end of the season. At first, I had to find my way around, but I received great support from the team, especially from the couple who own the company. I was able to learn a lot and enjoy living by the sea at the same time. Whenever I had any problems or needed help, there was always someone to turn to. It was a wonderful time – I’d love to come back next year!

Hi Sergio, Elisa, and the dog Rio. thank you so much for the beautiful experience! I felt very welcome, and was able to level up my Spanish from Duolingo level to general speaking in only 2 weeks. the house is really perfectly placed close to the center, but far away enough to not have the noise or business. overall it was a beautiful first workaway experience. muchas gracias!

Markus stayed with us for almost two months and quickly became a valued part of our team. He learned the service work in no time, was always attentive and helpful, and communicated warmly with our guests – his friendly and open attitude really added to the good atmosphere in our inn. We truly appreciated the time with him and would be very happy to see him again – Markus is always welcome with us!

It was great to have Diana and Victor here, they are very easy going and always smiling! They bonded really well with the dogs, taking them on long walks and giving lots of affection. Even Poppy the cat enjoyed their company! I would highly recommend them to any host!

Kat came to my rescue when a Workaway couple unfortunately had to cancel a house sitting stint quite late in the day. Initially, Kat had intended to house sit alone but an unexpected change of plan meant that she had to bring her 7 year old son with her. To begin with, I was a little concerned about having a child there, especially with the swimming pool. However, as her son was a strong swimmer and she had clear boundaries of what he would be able to do with her, we made a plan. Kat was extremely capable and quietly confident and experienced with the managing a pool which was a big advantage. Great communication also really made a difference and I was delighted that we also got some time to work together on the daily housekeeping, gardening, cooking etc. I cannot recommend Kat highly enoughto anyone in need of a capable and independent workaway.

Hannah is a positive and pro/active person with a great capacity to look at things with humor, while doing some seriously kick-ass work! We had a lot of interesting talks with Hannah about all possible subjects. She is curious, sensible, warmhearted and generous of spirit ! Hannah is a dependable house-mate who works very well with other volunteers. Hannah helped with any and all tasks, from plant and seeding work to cleaning and cooking, and anything really that needed to be done. And Lays the cat also approved of her! She (Hannah, not Lays) made sure to hike and explore nature, get in the lake (no idea how as the water was pretty cold by then), and enjoy the changing seasons. It really does get very beautiful around here with the autumn colors in the forest..... We do hope Hannah will come visit us again, as we already miss her. We also hope that she stays in touch with the other volunteers who were here. It is always wonderful to see friendships and connections that remain after a random encounter on a farm: these friendships can stay with you forever! PLEASE come back to us!!!! I was welcomed by Majella and Michael. They generously offered me a lift to the villages, towns and cities they were visiting as I didn't have a car. It's quiet and peaceful where they live. I got to visit Kilkenny a number of times and my stay coincided with a food festival which I enjoyed being at. A train journey to Dublin was a great day out. I also saw my first hurling match which was very exciting! While staying with Majella, I helped with cooking, some sewing, some cleaning, ironing and some expenses inputting.

Thanks Haley and Decker for your help.... and we now have a sparkling new kitchen and bathroom as a result of your skills and effort, and dedication to get the job done. Was a pleasure hosting you and so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and time in the mountains.... sorry the apartment was a bit of a mess during your stay, but it's going to be so much better now with the new facilities all finished! Happy travels...

Gunnar, staying with you was lovely. Helping to tune organs, experiencing different atmospehere of churches and getting a closer look to such a great fascinating instrument was fantastic feeling. Conversations were flowing, we found ourselfs in similar situation in different time. You gave me opportunity to be in calm healing spaces of your home by myself just when I needed so much. You showed me the magic of tango in Munich. You gave me hope that even in my hard situation life will get better again. Thank you:)

Aleks is a really nice person, kind, calm, and thoughtful. She may seem a bit shy and more introspective at first, but once you get to know her, you realize what a great person she is. She’s a very talented artist who makes beautiful tattoos and is also an amazing videomaker and photographer. Aleks took care of our social media during her stay and produced great videos that captured the spirit of the farm beautifully. She also helped in many different tasks with a positive attitude and genuine care. Aleks has a gentle presence, creative energy, and a lot of talent to offer. Super nice and highly recommended. Any host would be lucky to have her!
