Description
We have been fortunate to spend the last few long summers at our beautiful, old manor house in South West France and have hosted some fabulous Workaways during that time.
We are particularly interested in two Workaway friends or a couple who would both Workaway with us and house sit when we are away.
We love the Chalosse countryside in Les Landes. The locals are friendly, the weather is mild and we are just an hour away from beautiful beaches and a couple of hours away from the Pyrenees.
We now have our summer months booked but would love to hear from you if you have availability for at least a 2 or 3 month stint from late September. Anyone interested in a six month stay would also be very welcome to apply. A driving licence would be essential and a manual french car would be available for local shopping and trips out.

The locality itself and the friendly locals will enable opportunities for those wishing to improve their French. We both speak some french and would love to introduce beginners to the language.
We have lots of local knowledge to share and if house-sitting during our absence, we will keep in close communication.

Own bedroom and ensuite bathroom in the main house or a studio apartment with own fully fitted kitchen and shower room.

What else ...
The village location of Laborde is quiet and peaceful.
There are lovely walks and places to visit both towards the coast (from Capbreton to Biarritz & St Jean de Luz) towards the pretty Pyrenees.
The local market in Dax (25 min drive) is full of fabulous local produce and is a Saturday highlight.
