  Description

  We are a family of 6 plus two puppies who love the NZ life. We moved here from the UK 8 years ago and never looked back.
  
  We love to host in our home and now we have some land that we are rebuilding a cabin on. The land is only 20 mins outside Blenheim in a stunningly beautiful, peaceful, green valley. It feels a million miles away from the town!
  
  We would love help with either the gardens here at home, or at the Hut. Having had help with the structural stuff, I am now single handedly taking off all the outside cladding and interior lining so that I can insulate it and then make it look amazing again. An outside bath is planned with a deck and some sort of paths or hammock platform in the forest. Lots going on....
  
  We have natives to plant, paths to make, grass to mow, woodshed to make, kindling to chop....the list goes on...

  We are an inclusive, warm household. We regularly host winemakers during harvest season and they return year on year.
  
  Our home is best when it is full of people. Now that 3 of our children have flown the nest (just one at home now) it sometimes gets a little quiet around here. We are a family home not a party house but we enjoy meals together and inviting friends over. We enjoy life. We work hard and love to share what we have achieved with others.

  Marlborough is pretty diverse culturally and there will be others from your home cultures living here that you can connect with. Blenheim is a small town that has everything you can need.

  Any DIY carpentry, woodworking, gardening, painting, cooking, landscaping, creative people should apply - not necessarily need all of the above!! :-)

  Accommodation

  We have two beautiful cosy rooms for you - so we can take up to 4 people (if 2 couples) or more if a family (fold out bed).
  
  Whilst you are with us - our home is your home. There is a great family kitchen dining room with wood fire, TV room, study, laundry and gardens. All bedding and towels are provided.
  Food will be provided in the form of grocery vouchers.

  What else ...

  On your down time there is stuff to do around Blenheim and further but a car may be needed as public transport can be sketchy. We are so close to the ferry to Wellington or the domestic airport which flies to various places. We can potentially help with transport also.
