We were very happy to have them around. They are really lovely girls, super friendly and very responsible, regarding work but also house rules. What a pity that they could not stay longer!

I stayed on the farm for about 2 months last year and it was a lovely experience! Alex and Rico are lovely and caring people, who are really easy to talk to and made me feel like family after a week of staying with them. <3 I enjoyed staying outside the whole time, helping with maintenance tasks, harvesting olives, planting trees and caring for the lovely animals. I grew especially close with the cats, whom I miss dearly to this day (shedding a tear as I write this :,)) In the last weeks of my stay, Alex was so kind to let me be creative and paint some things around the farm, which meant a lot to me. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity of staying on the farm with the kindest hosts and a very peaceful environment. I'll definitely be back if I have the chance to! Lots of Love <3

Felix was with us for 3 weeks, and we really appreciated his personality. He enjoyed spending time with the animals and also working in the garden, where he has a special talent. The animals were well cared for by him, in terms of walks, feeding, and attention. In the garden, he helped with cleaning, removing weeds, planting, trimming grass, and cutting firewood using the chainsaw. He is a calm person who enjoys silence and loved being in nature. We highly recommend him as a volunteer and wish him a wonderful journey.

Kevin worked with us for 3 weeks, and his support was excellent. He helped us a lot with the animals, caring for them with great affection and always showing a trustworthy attitude. He assisted in the garden, cutting wood with the chainsaw and also mowing the lawn. He was very helpful during the spay and neuter campaign for both cats and dogs, where he worked effectively with the team. We wholeheartedly recommend Kevin and are grateful for his help and motivation. Thank you Kevin!

Irina and Lusie were a joy to host! Even though they only stayed for three nights, they made a lasting impact on my students and the school community. School Contribution: They were incredibly helpful in my public school, where Lusie spent time helping the students practice their English. They also stepped up to cover a special school event, capturing beautiful professional-quality photographs with their own cameras. Cultural Exchange: It was a pleasure taking them to the War Hero Monument in Tangalle. They also joined my Karate class with great energy and a positive attitude. Easy-going Guests: For two young travelers, they showed great maturity. They were very easy to host, completely adaptable, and never had a single complaint about anything. I highly recommend Irina and Lusie to any host. They are kind, talented, and genuinely interested in the local culture. You’re welcome back anytime!

The sunny place 😎 What a great place to volunteer- the family was wonderful from the start, the vibes were special and the location is literally THE BEST! The crew definitely are doing such a hard job bringing this beautiful hostel to life again, it is very lovely to see how it is being improved daily. The family are open to everyone's ideas and feedback for the space making it a collaborative effort and giving the volunteers a sense of pride and excitement! With up 7-10 volunteers at a time (during higgggggh season), it was a great social place to spend Christmas/NYE and a few accidentally extra weeks... It is very easy to want to stay forever! Movie nights, family dinners, sunset kayaks, beach days, dance nights and general homey vibes. The work is a good mix of reception and cleaning shifts, with lots of info to remember for the town, the tours and the systems, and often busy cleaning shifts with up to 60 people staying at a time. There is still plenty of time after to explore the town, try new activities and spend time in the wonderful natural areas around the area! Huge thanks to the whole crew- the family, the dogs and the other volunteers. Special shout out to Marilyn and the ultimate ✨️staff bible ✨️ the best organised, easy to follow task list ever! You'll leave here with new family, new friends and a wish for every job you ever take to have such an organised ✨️staff bible✨️.

We had the pleasure of hosting Lautaro as a volunteer at our Campus Remigio, and his stay with us was an overall success. From day one, he proved to be a kind, respectful, and reliable person. Our students truly enjoyed having speaking practice sessions with him. He was always polite, approachable, and genuinely helpful, creating a comfortable environment where students felt encouraged to participate and improve their English. Lautaro also took part in our monthly activity, and his presence made a positive impact there as well. The students were very happy to have him involved, and he connected naturally with them. We are grateful for his contribution to our campus and wish him the best!

Dear Omri, You didn’t just pass through this space — you added flavour to it, in every sense of the word. The meals you prepared brought everyone together around the table, and through your Israeli dishes you shared a piece of your culture and heart with us. Those evenings will be remembered for a long time. Your support in facilitating workshops and stepping in wherever needed carried such a generous spirit. You understood that this place is not only about tasks, but about energy — and you uplifted it naturally. Thank you for being part of this little bubble in Anjuna and for embracing it as your own. May your journey continue with the same fire, openness, and joy you brought here. We’ll be waiting for the next shared meal and sunset. 🌿

We wish we could stay longer at Simo and Leena's place! Even though we only stayed 5days, they made our stay very fun and comfortable. We made a lot of Finnish meals together. Every meal was great and I got recipes for that. They took us to summer cottage even it's winter! It was all great experience. We would love to come back again. Noniin Kiitos!!

Dear Moritz, From the moment you arrived, you blended into the rhythm of this place like you had always belonged here. Your willingness to step in — whether with maintenance, construction, or the small everyday tasks — carried a quiet dedication that supported all of us more than words can express. It was beautiful to see you move through the space with openness and ease, embracing the freedom here while contributing your strength and presence. Conversations, shared laughter, and the stories exchanged under Goan skies made your time here feel like family. Thank you for giving your energy so generously and for allowing this place to be part of your journey. May the road ahead keep offering you spaces where you can remain fully yourself. Our home will always welcome you back. 🌿

Dear Zuzana, Your time with us carried such a gentle strength. The way you held space during the face massage workshop with the gua sha stone was truly beautiful — mindful, intuitive, and deeply nurturing. It wasn’t just a session; it felt like a quiet ceremony of care. Many of us are still carrying that softness you awakened. You gave more than a workshop — you shared presence, knowledge, and healing hands. That is rare. Thank you for trusting this space and for allowing your gifts to flow here. The land remembers, and so do we. May your path continue to shine with the same grounded grace you embody. You will always have a home here. 🌿

I spent two weeks at Tessa’s place and had an absolutely wonderful time!! From the very first day, I felt welcomed and at ease. The house is beautiful, and having my own room with a private bathroom and shower made the stay even more comfortable 😊 My tasks were simple, clear, and enjoyable: feeding the animals and bringing them out to the pasture in the morning and afternoon. In between, I always had plenty of free time to go into town, explore, or just relax. It was the perfect balance of helping and having personal time. And honestly — the animals are incredibly sweet and so gentle. Spending time with them was one of the highlights of my stay! A HUGE THANK YOU to you, dear Tessa, for your kindness, your warmth, and for creating such a lovely atmosphere and place! I truly felt so welcome and happy at your place ❤️ And of course, a big thank you to Giulia and Claudia — sharing these two weeks with you made the experience even more special. I’ll always remember the fun moments we had together 😉 I can wholeheartedly recommend this Workaway place and hope to come back some time! ❤️ Love, Geraldine

Itay helped us to feed our sheep, donkeys and goats. Itay stayed with us for almost three months. He reliably fed the animals and was always friendly and helpful. We spoke a lot of English at first, but Itay learned Italian very quickly. He left his room clean. Thank you very much for your help!!!

I stayed with Johannes for around three week and he was an amazing host. He was more than generous in what he provided and he was both interesting and insightful to talk to. In addition, he was helpful and willing to teach me German. The work was always fair and relaxed without too much pressure. He also played several card and board games with all the workawayers which was always great fun!

It was a pleasure hosting you both. You were very proactive, autonomous, and willing to help with a variety of tasks, which made things easy on my side. I really appreciated your independence and the fact that you could take initiative without needing much guidance. Thank you as well for the good energy you brought during your stay — it was nice to share this time together. I wish you both the best for your next adventures and future projects!

Encantadores, respetuosos, comprometidos.

Konrad and Emmeline are absolutely wonderful hosts- I spent almost 2 months here in total, a combination of house/dog sitting and working with them while they were home. They were great at teaching me the ropes and how their systems work so I was well set up to look after the house and the dogs while they were away. During their time away they were always easy to reach for questions/concerns/oh-shit-there-is-a-suprise-puppy. They also organised with other friends in the area for other help if needed- nice to have the back up while alone with the dogs. The house is lovely, and Emmelines cooking will definitely spoil you (especially after too long in hostel kitchens!). The communication was great, both before and during my stays, the dogs are full of personality and the area is lovely and peaceful in the forest 🌳 🏡 They are both very generous, helpful and understanding with my last minute changes in circumstances. I can't thank them enough for their time and I always enjoyed our varied dinner table discussions! 10/10 recommend them as hosts, as long as you are ready to jump into work, varied projects and don't mind getting dirty and covered in dog poop from time to time 🐕🐕‍🦺🐩

Being a volunteer was truly wonderful. This village offers so many activities beyond teaching English to kids. You can paint murals, do wood carving, join cooking classes, visit amazing local markets with the host and so much more. You can walk or bike nearby to find beautiful spots to enjoy a coffee, and I truly recommend hitchhiking, it’s so much fun and along the way you’ll discover stunning waterfalls. It never feels like a job, there’s plenty of free time to enjoy nature and relax. It’s beautiful to be able to support the local culture and community. I want to thank Pantila, Mae Nai, Buddy, and all the other volunteers who made this an unforgettable experience that I will carry in my heart forever.
