Meine 4 Wochen in Bouzerat bei Luka, Aurelién, Octave, Sirius und Arcadia waren sehr abwechslungsreich. Ich habe viel gekocht und mich um die Küche gekümmert und hatte auch oft die Ehre, mit Arcadia spazieren zu gehen oder mich anderweitig mit den Kindern zu beschäftigen. Die drei sind sehr unterschiedlich, aber alle wunderbar. In meiner Freizeit, habe ich die tolle Natur genossen. Fast jeden Tag konnte ich spazieren gehen und habe dabei soooo viele Strecken, Wege und kleine Routen entdeckt, die absolut atemberaubend waren. Große Empfehlung für Naturliebhaber!! Nach Brioude oder in andere naheliegende Städte konnte ich freundlicherweise mit den Eltern oder Oma Mira fahren. Da kein Bus nach Bouzerat kommt, war das die einzige Möglichkeit, in die Stadt zu kommen. Oftmals habe ich den großen Trubel der Städte aber gar nicht gebraucht und mich gefreut, meine Zeit in Bouzerat zu verbringen. Eigentlich war der Plan, dass ich mit dem Auto der Familie hätte fahren können, leider ging das dann doch nicht. Es wurde sehr viel Wert darauf gelegt, dass genau 25h pro Woche gearbeitet werden, was mit einer Liste festgehalten wurde. Dadurch dass die Arbeitszeit so genau festgehalten wurde, hat es sich gelegentlich mehr wie eine Arbeits- statt einer Familienbeziehung angefühlt. Sehr gerne saß ich mit allen gemeinsam am Abendbrotstisch und habe das Familienleben mitbekommen. An einem Tag ist Aurelién nach Lyon gefahren und war so lieb, mich mitzunehmen. Ich konnte einen tollen Tag in der Stadt verbringen (Free Walking Tour empfehlenswert!!) und abends gemeinsam mit Aurelién ins Theater gehen. Mit Luka habe ich auch viele tolle Stunden verbracht. Mit ihr zu reden hat sich immer sehr vertraut, sicher und ehrlich angefühlt. Außerdem habe ich ihr ein paar mal die Haare geflochten, was sich seeeeeehr nach Girlhood anfühlte! Außerdem war es toll, dass ich meine Wäsche zu der der Familie legen durfte und Luka alles gemeinsam gewaschen hat. Ich bin sehr froh, meine erste Workaway-Ehrfahrung bei der Familie gemacht haben zu dürfen und werde jeden einzelnen für immer in meinem Herzen behalten. Und natürlich die tollen Crêpes, die es sehr oft gab! PS: Die Komposttoilette draußen werde ich vermissen! Es war unerwarteter Weise immer total cool und hat sich sehr frei angefühlt, so zur Toilette zu gehen.

My stay in Argenta was so full of learning, sharing, and good food 🤣! It was my first time doing a Workaway on a farm, so I really had no experience, but Ulie, the teacher, was very patient and taught me so much! The tasks aren’t very complicated, but you have to stay focused all the time (😉). The house is very cozy, and you immediately feel right at home! Ulie and Sean are funny, interesting, and curious—there are so many words to describe them, but the best thing is to go there yourself to understand, haha! I forgot to mention Ludwig (the dog), who obviously has all those qualities too—no one’s left out! The location of the house offers plenty of hiking opportunities, especially the trail to the two viewpoints, which is a pleasant walk during lunch break to walk the dog and help with digestion! Speaking of digestion, the homemade products are delicious, especially the pâté, jam, various pickles, and mayonnaise! I’d also add that Ulie is an excellent cook and always comes up with different recipes every night, even if it’s just the same winter vegetable. The space for Workaway volunteers offers all the comfort and warmth you need! Oh, and there are also movie nights, spa days, tea time—in short, don’t hesitate, just go for it! We also have plenty of time to pursue our hobbies, like writing, drawing, or other activities, after the workday, and they’re pretty flexible ! There were also cultural outings with Sean in the village center—oh my, so many things and stories! Thank you so much for this past month spent with your little family and for everything we shared! Ich hatte eine richtig schöne Zeit bei Christian und seiner Familie. Alle waren total nett und herzlich und nicht einmal die Sprachbarriere konnte etwas daran ändern:) Christian hat mir auch oft beim Spanisch sprechen geholfen und mir vieles erklärt. Ich habe in meiner Woche in Cayambe vor allem die wunderschöne Natur genossen und es hat super viel Spaß gemacht mit den Llamas zu arbeiten und sich um sie zu kümmern. Man fängt sogar an von den Llamas zu träumen, wenn man lange genug da ist 😂 Ich hoffe sehr, dass Christian seinen Traum verwirklichen kann und sich noch mehr Llamas kauft und den botanischen Garten fertigstellen kann! Ich würde wirklich jedem empfehlen mindestens einmal diese fantastische Llama Farm zu besuchen!!!:)

It was a delight to have Francesca. She was open and willing to learn, to try new things and was a great support in the garden. Francesca is a kind, honest and respectful person who is interested in life and getting to know others. She was good company and also happy for alone time...a lovely balance. Wishing her well on her continued workawaying.

Where to begin!! Our stay with Helena and Mutlu felt very special, we adored the environment they have created on the property, especially the focus on community and positivity. We enjoyed our time in the garden and working alongside Helena and the other Workawayers we were lucky enough to meet. We also found meal times a really great time to connect and laugh with friends! Helena is so caring and kind, she immediately puts you at ease and makes you feel part of the furniture, it was truly a pleasure to meet her and watch the vision come to life. Mutlu's cooking of course was another highlight, some of the best food we have ever eaten - alongside some fantastic stories and conversation! We are forever grateful for our time spent with Helena and Mutlu - we highly recommend to future Workawayers!

They are young and nice couple, at first working day, they did not have good gardening skill but they were always want to help and tried to work very hard. so they helped a lot while staying in my place. Easy to live, open mind.

Víctor excelente persona ,muy responsable se levanta temprano nos enseñó hacer yoga y se adapta a cualquier trabajo ,muy respetuoso con todos los voluntarios ,estamos muy contentos y espero que vuelva a visitarnos.

Naomi and her sweet dog Harrie stayed with us for six weeks and we were very lucky to host her! Naomi is a very kind, positive person who likes to work on projects and help make a place become better than before. She helped with many projects, from building a rocket mass stove with clay plaster to picking olives and sowing plants and working in the garden. We shared a well deserved olive oil feast with the first fresh oil and generally it felt like we had a friend over. Thank you Naomi for staying with us! You are welcome back any time!

I came to M’Hamid for a week but ended up staying 3 weeks (and would love to stay even more) because Yahya and Mohamed both made sure I felt welcomed and comfortable. The guesthouse is a real oasis of tranquility inside this deset town, it quickly felt like home. I had my own room which I really appreciated- it’s simple but cozy. I could also use the kitchen and shared bathroom. The work was very simple and enjoyable: keeping the guesthouse clean and tidy. You kinda have to manage your own work and time which I loved. No one will boss you around or micromanage, you see the work and you do it, same as at home :) it was also nice to meet the guests, some really nice people passed through the place. What I really appreciated was that Yahya accepted me during Ramadan and it was great to experience that with his friends and family. His profile says there is no food included but there is almost always something available. I would cook my own meals but often got eggs, some veggies, fresh bread almost every morning and they shared iftar (meal to break the fast) with me as well. The town is also quite nice and has everything you need, the best part is that it’s on the edge of the desert! I loved my stay with Yahya and felt like part of their family, so I hope to be back soon! Inshallah

It was my first Workaway experience, and it was perfect 🙌🏼. I was planning to volunteer for 10 days but ended up spending 3 weeks at Danny’s place. I can truly say it was the best place to reconnect with myself, pay attention to my body and diet, do yoga, and take cold baths in the mornings. All of this with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, plenty of different birds in the garden, and the magnificent sounds of frogs at night—sounds I had never heard before. The work is always tailored to your abilities (5 hours a day) and varies between gardening, working with tools, and household tasks. It is a perfect place to find harmony while working. Everything is exactly as shown in the photos, and there is also a warm shower. Danny has interesting friends who we sometimes hung out with. I really recommend going to the drum circle—it’s incredible! It was the perfect place to start my journey in Bolivia.

For Leonardo and I (Esteban) the experience was wonderful. Pat, Jean Pierre and Steven are excellent hosts and persons; very kind, generous and always ready to help and with the availability to solve any doubt. From the very beginning of our stay we felt comfortable with all of the necessary.  One of the special occasions for us was lunch time with them in which you can take advantage of that, in order to share your own experience living there. Another important and positive one was the opportunity to meet interesting people during the weekend sessions and interchange our experiences with some of them. Knowing Catalonia and part - a little bit- of this important community will be something unforgettable because in our case it has been the first time- and hopefully not the only-  to be there and embrace part of it.   The lovely pets deserve another paragraph because they are important members of the family: Bitxu, Nena, Whisky, Rosset and the two hens play an important role in everything that has to do with life in The Bosc of Les Idees.  We'll always be thankful for this experience. For Sure!!

I really enjoyed my two weeks stay at Marco's place. His home on the top of a magical mountain makes for an amazing place to rest and connect with nature. He and his lovely animals made me feel at home from the start. Having great food every day, being involved in the process of his projects and enjoying the evenings together is everything you hope for as a traveller. The work was on a very fair rhythm (careful if you play with Rosa because she won't let you work after) and it's was nice to see the results afterwards. I hope for nothing but the best for Marco and I would love to see his place many more times. Grazie mille!

I spent four wonderful days with Karen; we worked together in the garden to clear it of weeds. I planted potatoes and a tree, and collected various types of plants. It was really lovely making blueberry jam together. She showed me around various places and told me a lot about Irish culture. It’s really nice spending time with her and having a chat. It would have been lovely to spend more time together. Thak you very much karen for the experience.

Denise and Winz were a true blessing for us! Although she was initially supposed to stay for only one week, we were thrilled that she chose to extend her stay to two months. She worked right alongside us and helped us tremendously, especially with painting, where she showed great patience and skill. Denise is the kind of volunteer who doesn't just do the job but puts her heart into every corner she touches. Having her and Winz around brought such positive energy to our place; the fact that they wanted to stay longer because they felt so at home was the best compliment we could receive. Winz is a wonderful, well-behaved dog who fit in perfectly. They were a huge help to us, and they are welcome back anytime. Anyone who hosts them will be truly lucky

Aisling was with me for a month. She was such a great help! She is cheerful, easy to be with, up for any task and is a hard worker. Her main tasks were picking up horse muck, helping move logs, and piling firewood. I really appreciated our conversations and time together. I hope to see her again and strongly recommend her to anyone.

Jana was an excellent help around the home. She fulfilled all requested tasks and was very pleasant to have in our busy home. Jana is an excellent piano player, too, so we enjoyed her music. She involved herself in the life of our community and walked with our local walkers.

Notre séjour chez Ollivier et Colette était comme un rêve! Le petit déjeuner le matin, le travail varié et la gentillesse des deux étaient top! L'endroit est super calme et proche de la nature, ce qu'on a beaucoup apprécié. Les deux se sont adaptés à notre arrivé et en général nous ont soutenu dans l'organisation. Un vrai highlight était notre soirée allemande (et végétarienne ;) ) avec les autres workawaysers et les animaux et bien évidemment les séances de danse sauvage. Merci pour ce temps inoubliable! On peut que recommander un workaway chez Ollivier et Colette! <3
