This is a magical place and I feel very lucky to have been able to spend a week there. Mish and Nige are such lovely, welcoming and warm individuals, and it was amazing to learn from them and the project here. They are so knowledgable, especially around conservation in New Zealand, and happily answered all of our questions. The work was super varied and interesting, some days oiling the deck, some in the nursery and some in the bush. I really enjoyed the day of seed propagation that Mish kindly shared her knowledge with us on, as this was something I was keen to know more about. I was part of a great workaway group, and we got to know each other well through the work and also spending time swimming in the river and doing different arts and music projects. We all stayed down the hill from the house, in our own sort of village, which was so lovely, and I got to sleep in an outside bunk bed, so see the moon every night as I went to sleep, which was wonderful. Thank you so so much.

My stay at Matias' place was nothing short of amazing—an experience I will remember for life. During my stay, I was immersed in the authentic Chilean way of life. Matias was well-informed about community events and local attractions in the immediate vicinity, as well as in the cities of Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas. Karen and their two daughters were also a delight to be around. On the weekends, I felt sufficiently equipped to explore the two cities on my own. During the workdays, I experienced the many facets of running a farm, including constructing fences, stacking firewood, and watering the assortment of vegetables and fruits. Matias is passionate about organic and sustainable farming, and it was evident he was very knowledgeable about the indigenous flora and fauna. I feel the experience has equipped me to live more sustainably and closer to nature. The meals were varied, healthy, and exceptionally delicious. The portions were more than satisfactory and provided the energy required for the work. I could not have wished for a more all-encompassing, authentic Chilean culinary experience. The accommodations had no shortcomings. I had my own spacious room with a private bathroom. The other volunteer I collaborated with had the same. Getting there was easy; I walked about a kilometer from the airport and caught a bus to Los Muermos. From there, I was picked up by a local driver who took me straight to the farm. Overall, I would highly recommend Matias' farm to anyone interested in sustainable agriculture and the Chilean way of life.

Marketa stayed with us for two weeks and she is a very pleasant house guest. She worked hard on the Finca, cared for the goats, horses and chickens but also helped with fencing and cleaning up the terraces and pruning the almond trees. We played games and when her boyfriend also joined he managed to help us with some mobile phone issues. She also got along well with the other workawayers and they all enjoyed riding Campero going to the yoga and hiking up Santa Barbara Mountain. We can certainly recommend her to other workaway hosts

This was my first Workaway experience and it was a really great one. We did many different kinds of tasks, which made the experience very interesting. I learned a lot about gardening and outdoor work. There was always something to do and every day was different. The activities ranged from planting, weeding, cutting trees, assembling furniture, organizing spaces, and many other small projects. Being two Workawayers at the same time made the experience even better, as sometimes we worked together and other times separately depending on the tasks. Even though the days were often quite busy, we still found time to talk and spend a few evenings together, which made the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. The children were also very sweet and it was nice being around the family. The dog is absolutely adorable and wonderful to take on walks! Thank you for this first Workaway experience, I learned a lot and really appreciated the time spent here.

This is my first WorkAway experience and it was the best I could ever hope for. Yannick and Marion were communicative and incredibly welcoming. They truly made me feel at home! Marion is a wonderful chef and shared with me her cooking recipes. I enjoyed our deep conversations on cultures and politics during dinners. Yannick was always happy to take me along on his errands runs. He was eager to show me all the unique things to see around the beautiful countryside, and lent me a bike to explore on my own. They have a beautiful farm with a cozy house and many wonderful animals: horses, ponies, dogs, and a cat. You will have plenty of time of spend with animals, and especially around horses. I was lucky to ride a couple times even with limited riding experience. The farm is surrounded by amazing landscapes with fields and lakes. There's always something scenic areas to explore and enjoy. Language wise, Yannick was always happy to speak to me in French even when I don't understand everything, which I truly appreciate. He also never hesitated to correct my mistakes. It helped so much with my language improvement. He is an avid language learner himself and therefore understands what a language student needs. As someone trying to escape the corporate urban life, this has been a truly life changing experience for me. Highly recommended!

Dear Jetske, From the moment you arrived, you kindly offered to take charge of our shared lunches and dinners, and we truly enjoyed every moment of it. Your cooking was not only healthy and delicious, but also prepared with great care and dedication. And we must add: we have never had anyone serve the meals so punctually at the agreed time! You are a very thoughtful and committed person, always attentive to the people around you and genuinely caring. We especially appreciated the love and attention you gave to our dogs; thank you for all the wonderful walks, no matter the weather!

We stayed with Rich for almost 2 weeks. We loved our time there! His 3 dogs Rio, Molly, and Mac were so cute, and know exactly what timw their walks are! And you can't forget Pepe the fruit loving parrot. Rich is truly amazing, a great cook, and shared some super cool stories from his past. The beach is beautiful and the neighbors are super sweet. He also took us offshorefishing and we both caught Tuna, which we ate for dinner. We would recommend staying here for any travelers that love peace and quiet, as this island is a nice getaway from everything.

I came to Renatas place with the intention of staying one month and ended up staying closer to three; that in itself should explain it all! My heart feels a little bit fuller for being at this workaway and for being able to call Renata a friend. My normal day to day of caring for and spending time with the dogs was lovely; the work in itself is very reasonable but it is work and you should only come if you have a work ethic and love dogs/animals! I had the absolute privilege of caring for some rescued sheep while I was there and that for me was heaven! Renata is a fountain of information when it comes to dog behaviors so if you wish to learn more in regards to that, she is the person to see. The place itself is advertised as an animal hotel and that is exactly what it is; Renata goes above and beyond to make sure that every animal who enters her premises has the best possible care from the obvious of nutritious food to enrichment, love, friends and cuddles. I really appreciated Renatas generous spirit and her deep commitment to the animals within her care. I can't thank her enough for being so so good to me while I was there and I look forward to returning one day in the future ☺️💜

Highly recommend!! Work with AHAH in Jhunga was such a great experience. Everything was well organised and professional, atmosphere at base and during the work lovely and welcoming. It was great way to get to know local culture as well thanks to the help of Nepali staff members and different opportunities of getting in contact with local village community. Dhal Bhat was perfect. I have spent 1,5 month and already miss this place <33

I had a great experience staying with Carole and David on their amazing land. They have a deep commitment to the land and strong sense of community. Conversations were always fun and interesting! Nature is truly being honored and cared for. Even though I couldn't stay that long I hope to meet them again in the future and see how the nature will be thriving. Many thanks!

Ikue and Keisuke lived with my family in 3-5th Mar. 2026 to make their dream in reality. We was proud to meet their best preparation on their Mongolian short holiday trip, so my help was "what is your question?". Now they are personal bowl ambassadors and traditional (best solution) knowledge divers.

My stay with Murphy was a truly lovely experience. She is an incredibly kind and welcoming person who accepted my last-minute request to stay and even came to pick me up from the station, which immediately made me feel comfortable and cared for. Her residence is a beautiful 18th-century house located in a peaceful setting, with a charming church nearby that adds to the character of the place. During my stay, there were three other Workawayers as well, and the atmosphere among us was very collaborative, relaxed, and friendly. The tasks were simple and well organized, which made working together enjoyable. One of the highlights was cooking together in the evenings. We took turns preparing dinner and enjoyed experimenting with different recipes from our various backgrounds. Murphy prepared breakfast and lunch for us, and the meals were always delicious. It was also a wonderful opportunity to try different specialties. Our main daily task involved working in the garden. We helped prepare the soil, dig and clean different areas where needed, and eventually plant and care for small plants. Working together as a team, we managed the tasks very well, especially with Murphy’s supportive guidance and clear instructions. Many evenings we went for walks in the nearby forest, which was a beautiful way to relax after the day’s work. Those moments were also a great opportunity for everyone to spend time together, share stories, and get to know each other better. Overall, it was a peaceful, collaborative, and enriching experience. I’m grateful to Murphy for her kindness and hospitality and would happily recommend this stay to future Workawayers.

I had a great experience staying with Sienna. She was very welcoming, generous and made every effort to make me feel at home. We shared meals and conversations, went for walks and visited her gorgeous grandparents. I also enjoyed working on Sienna's project with her and hope to hear of her adventures in the future. Sisteron is beautiful, even in winter. There are lots of nature walks with incredible views. The town is friendly and very quaint, with a nice Saturday market.

I didn’t complete a full Workaway with Mr. Ba, but I had the chance to meet him and spend some time there, and it was a very positive experience. He is a very kind and caring person. I hope he can find some IT volunteers to help improve his business website, as well as some staff to assist with the tour boats. I would definitely recommend this Workaway experience.

Hello dear reader I want to share my expirience in The finja of Maria and Hannes. I stayed for around 2 week in a beutifull, cozy caravan I had a really grouthfull and transformative stay, I want to start by mentioning that I loved the energy there, you are high in the mountains and in the finja you will feel at peace or anything that you have to face inside, you will do so. It’s just the energy in there The comunity is really kind and peaceful. In the beginning it was a litle hard for me to adapt as it was everything new, but once you pass the first week you start feeling at home, and really safe. My only recommendation would be if there was more personal connection and individual approach. personally for me I needed in the beginning more explanation which I didn’t fully get even though after that, I understood everything I needed and more information of the weeks plan and tasks. That’s what I wanted to share A thing I really enjoyed is a raw vegan party in the other finja Of Maria in Nerja it was magical. Other night also made bon fire at night with Michelle and Jonny and the other workawayers The work is really not hard and for me it was more fun especially cooking for lunch with Maria, I learned many vegan recipes from her, by looking what she prepares. What we ate? There is a beutifull kitchen filled with so much organic and vegan ingridients, we ate healthy and simple vegan dishes and mostly 60% raw. For breakfast I loved Jonny’s cacao recipe and hemp milk ! it become something I looked forward for my next morning and got exited about (thank you Jonny!)🦋🥰 About the internet: there is a litle caravan where you have access to wife (but only there) wich really helped me be less on my phone and conect more with the present They were really flexible and there was a day I didint feel okay and we found a way to meet both of our needs and rearrange working hours 🙏🏻❤️ Also I would like to say something more about Maria: She is like a mother to all, I didint feel any expectaions from here, but pure acceptance and jenerosity, I felt I wanted to give her what I can and help because she is truly an amazing soul, that has helped many in need and me also, thank you so much Maria! We didint have much time together but your aura was felt and the love too, beyond what words can say. And onother thing to be aware is that the place is really uphill and on your everyday you will have to walk allot up and down from the toilet to the kitchen for example, so better you are fisically fit, even if I was I still found myself tired every time, hahaha, but it was a good workout Also expect constant guests and different people coming, it’s really intresting to meet them and learn new things!🥰 About the caravan where I slept my suggestion is to bring warm clothes for the night as it gets really cold, otherwise they also gave me a hot water bag to heat myself at night. Thank you so much for everything!💕🙏🏻✨🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 If you are a workawayer and would like to hear more of my stay at Maria’s finca I am open to share more, message me!😊💗☮️

Mein is a young, curious, and attentive learner. In the beginning she was a little hesitant as it was her first volunteering experience, but she quickly found her rhythm and became confident and creative with her work in the garden. She also generously offered yoga classes for us and the fellow volunteers during her stay. She is a beautiful person with a warm presence, and it was lovely having her with us.

Every now and then you meet people who you immediately feel connected and loved by. This happend to me at Manga and Prajeeth’s farm. Really a place i would recommend 😊 love you Manga and Prajeeth! Till we meet again ❤️
