Sam stayed with us for more than four weeks and it was truly a pleasure to host him. He is very easygoing, friendly, and always ready to help. Sam naturally sees what needs to be done and take initiative, often bringing good ideas and helping to solve problems. He integrated perfectly in our team. Sam clearly enjoys working outdoors and in nature - he isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and is a very hardworking and motivated person. His communication was always open, which made working together easy and comfortable for everyone. We really appreciated having him here and his contribution helped us a lot. Overall, everything worked out wonderfully and we can warmly recommend Sam to any future host. He will be a great addition to any project and community.

Rai is a warm and serious person. He spent three weeks at our house and helped us a lot with the garden and painting some walls. He was also very good with our children. See you soon, Rai! Rai es una persona cálida, a la vez que seria. Pasó en nuestra casa tres semanas y nos ayudó mucho con el jardín y a pintar unas paredes. El trato con nuestros hijos también fue muy bueno. ¡Hasta pronto, Rai!

Nos encantó nuestra estancia en La Florida con Omero. Cada día fue una aventura y ahora tenemos recuerdos que nos acompañarán toda la vida. Nos alojamos en una cabaña de madera junto al río, en el que nos bañábamos casi todos los días, fue increíble!! El terreno es amplio, precioso y lleno de sitios lindos para relajar y disfrutar la naturaleza. El día a día consistía en ayudar con las tareas que iban surgiendo en la finca, además de tener la libertad de proponer y llevar a cabo algo creativo para embellecer el espacio. Algunas de las actividades que hicimos fueron: organizar cardamomo, limpiar y preparar un espacio para crear una casa de cultivo de hongos, cocinar, crear videos promocionales, cuidar los animales, mover materiales para los trabajadores del terreno, pasar tiempo con la familia (y los niños) que viven allí, y también hacer nuestros propios proyectos artísticos. Un buen nivel de español es necesario para aprovechar al máximo la experiencia. Hay una pequeña tienda al otro lado de la calle donde se pueden comprar cervezas o snacks. Muchas gracias a Don Omero, Doña Anita, Don Arvee, Doña Vale, Alis y Sami por esta experiencia tan increíble.

Ildiko stayed with us for about four weeks and was a wonderful addition to our place and team. From the beginning she integrated easily, was friendly, and showed great independence in her work. She helped with many different tasks - from painting rooms, clean up the greenhouse, building the path to the river. She was always motivated and happy to support wherever help needed. Beyond the work itself, she brought a very warm and positive energy to the team. We shared many nice moments together. Overall Ildiko was reliable, friendly, hardworking, and a pleasure to host. We can highly recommend her to any future host.

We got to do housesitting here for about a month in November/December and I gotta say, these guys are great. Super polite, good at explaining things and if things were somehow unclear we could very easily contact them through WhatsApp to ask a quick question and always got help, answers and support when needed. The house is right next to a beautiful forest where we could go on walks, but also close enough to Berlin to do a day trip there if you wanted. The morning and evening round with the horses was straight forward, well explained and showed to us, and only took about 45 minutes, max an hour to complete. One day we had an emergency with one of the horses and they were easy to contact and helped us out through every step of calling vets etc. Like I said, they’re super nice polite people and we really enjoyed our month there helping them out!

Ale y Matías son almas verdaderamente hermosas. Tenerlos aquí fue mucho más que recibir voluntarios… fue recibir familia 🤍 Los extraño profundamente. Desde el primer día, su presencia trajo amor, compromiso y una energía muy especial. Pusieron la casa de pie en muchos sentidos y la transformaron con detalles hermosos que siguen vivos hasta hoy. Su dedicación fue real, constante y llena de corazón. Ale tiene manos mágicas. Me hizo un hermoso yoga mat holder de macramé que es simplemente perfecto. Hasta el día de hoy, cada vez que lo veo, me hace sentir muy feliz y me recuerda su dulzura, su talento y el amor con el que lo creó. Es un regalo que vive en el espacio y en mi corazón. Matías siempre estaba pendiente de todo lo que se necesitara. No hacía falta decir nada — él observaba, entendía y actuaba. Su forma de ayudar era silenciosa, eficiente y llena de responsabilidad. Fue un gran apoyo en todo momento. Más allá de todo lo que hicieron, lo más valioso fue el vínculo que creamos. Compartimos la vida, el hogar, las risas, el trabajo, y una conexión muy genuina. Dejaron una huella profunda aquí. Quiero que sepan que siempre serán bienvenidos. Esta es y será siempre su casa. Espero de corazón volverlos a ver algún día. Los extraño y les agradezco infinitamente por todo lo que dieron y por el amor que dejaron aquí.

María es un ser humano simplemente hermoso, por dentro y por fuera 🤍 Desde el primer momento la sentí como una hermanita, con una energía dulce, pura y muy especial. Tenerla en casa fue un verdadero regalo. Su presencia llenaba el espacio de calma, alegría y ternura. Siempre nos hacía sentir felices de estar juntos, compartiendo momentos simples pero muy significativos. Es una artista increíble. Sus pinturas son hermosas y tienen alma — realmente tiene un don muy especial Fue un privilegio verla crear y compartir su arte con nosotros. Su sensibilidad y creatividad trajeron una energía única a esta casa. También ayudó mucho en todo, siempre con buena disposición, respeto y amor. Es una persona muy considerada, fácil de convivir y con un corazón enorme. Fue muy triste que se fuera tan pronto… nos hubiera encantado tenerla por mucho más tiempo. Dejó una huella muy profunda y un vacío que se siente. Quiero que sepa que esta siempre será su casa. Siempre será bienvenida aquí, como familia. La extrañamos mucho y estamos muy agradecidos por el tiempo, el amor y la luz que compartió con nosotros

Ana y Jhon han sido, sin exagerar, los mejores Workawayers del mundo 🌟🤍 Desde el primer día, su energía fue simplemente divina. Son dos seres humanos maravillosos, amorosos, respetuosos y con un corazón enorme. No solo ayudaron muchísimo en la casa, sino que su presencia trajo alegría, calma y una sensación de familia que es difícil de describir. Me ayudaron demasiado en todo momento, siempre dispuestos, siempre presentes, siempre con una sonrisa. Nunca tuve que pedirles algo — ellos veían lo que se necesitaba y lo hacían con amor y dedicación. Su actitud fue impecable. También ayudaron muchísimo a mi mamá con sus redes sociales, con tanta paciencia y cariño. Ese gesto significó más de lo que pueden imaginar. La hicieron sentir acompañada, valorada, y eso es algo que nunca olvidaré. Pero más allá de todo el trabajo, lo más hermoso fue la conexión humana. Llegaron como voluntarios… pero se fueron como familia. Compartimos momentos, risas, conversaciones, comidas, y una energía muy especial que transformó la casa. Desde que se fueron, la casa no se siente igual. Dejaron un vacío real, un silencio distinto. Se les extraña muchísimo… su presencia, su alegría, su forma de ser. Esta casa siempre será su hogar, y aquí siempre tendrán una familia esperándolos con los brazos abiertos. Gracias por todo lo que dieron, por su amor, su compromiso y su hermosa energía. Los quiero y los extraño un montón

Lars is truly one of those volunteers that every host dreams of having… From the moment he arrived, he brought such a calm, respectful, and beautiful presence to the house. He is incredibly kind, easygoing, and very considerate of the space and everyone around him. He has a very mature and correct way of being, but at the same time he is warm, funny, and lovely to share daily life with. He is extremely hands-on and proactive. You never have to ask twice — he simply sees what needs to be done and does it, with care and attention. He helped so much around the house, always with a great attitude and willingness to contribute. And the garden… wow. He created a beautiful garden space that completely transformed the energy of the house 🌱 It’s something we will continue enjoying every day, and it will always remind us of him. And let’s talk about his cooking… Lars doesn’t just cook — he creates happiness in the kitchen 😄 He loves cooking and sharing meals, and everything he makes is delicious.He made this amazing curry dish... He brought such a cozy, homey feeling to Dharma, and those shared moments were very special. He is also a very clean, organized, and respectful person, which makes living together effortless and harmonious. Truly someone you can trust completely with your home. Honestly, the only bad thing about Lars is that he left too soon! We would have loved to have him stay longer. He is always, always welcome back here — Lars...this will forever be your home in Colombia 🏡🤍 Any host would be incredibly lucky to have him. We recommend him 1000%. Thank you, Lars, for your work, your kindness, your beautiful energy, and for leaving a piece of your heart here with us ✨

I stayed nearly a month. I was made to feel welcome and was fortunate as power had just been restored from a neighbour when I arrived. The next day two lovely Norwegians helped replace the water pipes, so we could fill the tanks and also fill the pool! I’ve used a top loading machine, so washed lots volunteer and guest sheets and host laundry. I also planted fruit and vegetables. I’m a wildlife volunteer, so was able to relocate amphibians to safety from being washed down the pool drains. I found it challenging to sleep in a tent for 3 weeks, and also without power, so it will be memorable, as will the amazing animal and birdlife. I wish them well with their many projects.

This was my very first Workaway experience, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better one. My main task was taking care of the sweetest dog, Snips. She is such a loving dog, it was truly a joy to spend time with her every day. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. From the moment I arrived, I felt comfortable and at home. Even though I only stayed for a short week, the experience was really meaningful and special to me. I’m very grateful for their trust and hospitality. Thank you for such a lovely first Workaway experience!

Maki & Gen are such fabulous ambassadors for Japan - and Japanese culture! The sense of respect they brought to everything in daily life was so special to witness… I am so grateful to have spent time with them both. ADORED! The meals they cooked for us ~ DELICIOUS! … (& I apologies again for Craig’s sh*tty GF muffins 🤭) All the gardening tasks were tackled head-on - even when the weather was challenging! I wish them all the best with the journey ahead.

Best workaway I could imagine!! Thank you so much Georgie and Harry for making my first workaway experience better than I had hoped. They went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and happy throughout my stay and always entertained my thousand questions about their family and life in Scotland. I absolutely loved getting to see the nearby towns and lochs, meeting their friends and family, and exploring the gorgeous paths near the house. Their boys are so sweet and playful and never failed to make me laugh and teach me new games. The whole family made me feel very much a part of the wonderful home they’ve made and I am so grateful for my time with them. The “work” included cooking, playing with the boys, taking 9 month old Jeanie on walks, helping out with small things around the house! What a truly amazing family living in one of the most beautiful places in the world. I so hope to be back someday and have already recommended them to all of my friends if they’re headed towards the UK for awhile. Thank you for everything!!

The hostel hosted me for a one week working experience and I had a good time. The staff is very friendly and made the integration very easy going even if my Spanish is not the best. My tasks were mostly front desk work at the reception. The common areas are spacious and welcoming.

I came to voulenteer from end of January and stayed almost 4 weeks until the end of February. Gonzalo made me feel very welcome ! and the communication with him was great even before I got to Costa Rica. He really helped me with any questions I had. Since the first day there I felt very comfortable. I enjoyed socializing with the gusests and the other voulenteer. The hostel is beautiful and located in a quiet place surrounded by jungle. you get to see a lot of animals here and you are within walking distance to the beach, supermarkets and restaurants. I would start my days with a delicious breakfast made with lots of love by Gonzalo. I worked the morning shift and had enough time at noon to explore the area and enjoy myself. The work was easy for me and the vibe is very chill. Gonzalo is an amazing host, I had such a great time here and I will miss this place and the people I met here so much! I Highly recommend this place!!

We had such a nice time in Biougra!! Mohammed is a very lovely person who made the experience so nice and wonderful!! Teaching was so much fun and the students were very friendly and eager to learn. We enjoyed our time a lot experiencing the town and doing trips with Mohammed and his friends. We can recommend this experience for everyone who really wants to know Moroccan culture and life! Hope to see you again one day Mohammed & Biougra!:))

I spent one month at Daniele’s place, and what I appreciated the most was his humanity, empathy, and understanding. I was impressed by the passion he puts into the project and into every activity he carries out. You can truly feel that everything he does comes from a place of love, which was very inspiring for me. I’m also very grateful for Daniele’s openness, flexibility, and kindness — it made the experience feel even more welcoming and genuine. During my stay, I mainly helped with weeding, gardening, and some small maintenance tasks. Unfortunately, the weather was often quite bad, so there were days when we couldn’t do much outside. Since it was winter, the atmosphere was quieter than usual. At first this felt a bit uncomfortable, but over time I grew to really appreciate the calm and slower rhythm. The place itself is still evolving and in the process of being built, so there aren’t many comforts yet. However, this wasn’t a problem for me — it felt like being part of something that is growing and developing, which made the experience even more meaningful.

Maëlle is a very kind and respectful girl who integrated quickly into farm life. She adapted easily to our simple lifestyle and participated seriously in the daily activities. She was open-minded, positive, and willing to learn new things. Even if the language was a small challenge at the beginning, we quickly found a way to communicate and collaborate effectively. We appreciated her good energy and her involvement both in the work and in the community life. She respected the house rules and contributed to a harmonious atmosphere.

I was very lucky to spend two weeks here and experience both sides of the project. During my first week, I stayed at the site in the tiny house and helped on the land, and during the second week I stayed at JP’s house as a vegan cook. Even though we had initially agreed on cooking for both weeks, we adapted along the way, and this arrangement turned out to be a really positive and enriching experience. Jean-Philippe communicates very clearly and makes sure you understand what is needed, so you always have good instructions and support. I also really appreciated being called “the chef” for the first time — especially since this was my very first community cooking experience. The house is full of amazing cats, each with their own personality, and I absolutely loved every single one of them. The kitchen is beautifully renovated, practical, and easy to work in, and the bathrooms were also being renovated during my stay, which made the living conditions very comfortable. JP is deeply dedicated to what he is building and leads a very busy life, so I was happy to be able to contribute and help, even for a short time. I truly hope to visit again in the future and see how the project continues to grow with the help of other volunteers. Very Niiiiiice :)

Clarita stayed at my house for a few days and it was great getting to know her and spending time, she helped me out recording our performances those days and also to create and improve my workaway profile, we had good talks and even went together to the zoo, she was relaxed, clean and easy going nice girl i would host her any other time again! and also we did share some laughs and language exchange! welcome back until the next time <3
