More details about my language interests
I am very interested in both learning and teaching languages. I believe that language is a powerful tool for connecting people and understanding different cultures. As a native Japanese speaker, I would love to help others learn Japanese and share my knowledge of the language, including its unique expressions and customs. I enjoy engaging conversations about Japanese culture, food, and traditions, and I am eager to share these topics with anyone interested in learning. On the other hand, I am also keen on improving my English skills, as I believe that becoming more fluent will enhance my ability to communicate and connect with people from diverse backgrounds. I am open to practicing conversational English with others and would appreciate any tips or resources that can help me in my language learning journey. Overall, I view language exchange as a mutually beneficial experience, and I look forward to the opportunity to both teach and learn during my travels.

    Maki:
I graduated from the School of Architecture and have worked as an architect in Japan. I also work part-time as a yoga instructor, where I enjoy helping others find balance and strength. I love cooking, especially simple and delicious Japanese dishes like oyakodon, miso soup, and gyudon. I also have experience volunteering with children, teaching basketball to kids aged 7–12, and enjoy connecting with them.

    Gen:
Gen is from Okinawa and has experience working on farms in Bundaberg, where he helped with cooking, cleaning, DIY projects, and caring for animals. He is creative and enjoys baking bread, making candles, drawing, and other crafts. He’s very friendly, reliable, and loves contributing wherever needed.

  • What else ...

In addition to our enthusiasm for cooking and our passion for sports, I have a interest in board games. Growing up, I often played Uno, and various card games with my two older brothers and family. I enjoy the strategic aspects of these games and the time spent bonding with loved ones over friendly competition.

I am also a quick learner when it comes to new games, so if there are any games I haven’t played yet, I would be more than happy to learn from others and have fun together! I believe that games are a wonderful way to connect with people and build friendships.

Moreover, my athletic background means I am proficient in various sports, so I am open to trying out new sports with hosts or fellow travelers. Whether it’s soccer, basketball, or even activities like hiking, I love staying active and participating in team or outdoor activities.

Overall, I'm excited about the possibility of sharing these hobbies while traveling and look forward to meeting new people who share similar interests!
