Hi !
My name is Maëlle, I'm a 21-years-old French girl with a strong desire to travel and discover the world.
I studied English literature and civilisation for 3 years at university in France. I want to take a break from studying to be able to practice and improve my English level.
I love discovering new landscapes, local food and different cultures. I also enjoy meeting people from all around the world and learning new things.
My main interests include : 80s music, travelling, running, going to concerts, spending time with animals and many other things!
I consider myself open-minded and always ready to help.
I joined workaway mainly to improve my English, to discover new places, to help people in their everyday tasks and learn new skills.

More details about my language interests
French is my native language, I speak English quit well as I studied it at the university. I also learnt Spanish in highschool and studied Italian for 2 years. I'm interested in languages in general and I'd love to take part in a language exchange.

I do have experience in petsitting as I took care of my cousin's dog and cat several times . At 17, I did an Erasmus+ internship in Seville, Spain, where I worked in a pastry shop for one month. It was a great experience that gave me my first taste of working abroad and adapting to a new environment.
Since 18 years old, I work during the summer as a market gardener in tomato greenhouses and as a retail assistant in a supermarket.
I'm really interested in learning new things during my Workaway experience to broaden my knowledge, discover different ways of life, and improve my skills especially in English

What else ...

I really enjoy both the countryside and the city. I love nature and discovering beautiful spots with viewpoints. During my free time I go to concerts, meet friends, read, run, visit my family, travel... I'd love to learn and practice skills related to farming, working in a hostel, housekeeping, petsitting- all while enjoying my stay and exploring the country.
