  Description

  Our Life Project is a mountain farm and it's located 30 minutes drive away from Coyhaique (14 kms). We live in the middle of a native forest, 850 meters over sea level.
  We are Joha (Argentinean, Hospitality Manager, Artisan, Animal Lover, Fashion Designer, Community Manager, University Teacher and more) and Jose (Chilean, Chef, Carpenter, Artist, Pet Lover, Gardener, Bartender among others), two rural life lovers that decided to give it a try in the mountains.
  We don't have kids, but we do have 6 dogs (2 are in adoption) and 3 cats. All of them, cats & dogs are indoor, and dogs go out for walks with us.
  We have a Functional Room that we rent, a few meters away, a Vegetable Garden and lots of trails through the forest that you can explore while staying with us.
  We love our quiet life, fully connected with nature! We try to live in the most responsible way to lower our impact while living off grid.
  The house is powered by solar energy and water comes from our well. We use firewood for heating that comes from our forest, but the house is pretty much efficient by itself.
  We want to build a new Greenhouse, a small studio for our side project, Huellitas en el Bosque.
  
  Nuestro Proyecto de vida es una pequeña granja de montaña y se encuentra ubicado a 30 minutos en auto de Coyhaique (14 kms).
  Somos Joha (Argentina, Hospitality Manager, Artesana, Animal Lover, Diseñadora de Moda, Community Manager, Docente Universitario y más) y Jose (Chileno, Chef, Carpintero, Artista, Pet Lover, Jardinero, Bartender entre otros), dos amantes de la vida rural, que decidieron darle una oportunidad a la vida rural en la montaña.
  No tenemos hijos, pero tenemos 6 perros (2 están en adopción) y 3 gatos. Todos ellos, perros y gatos, viven en el interior de la casa y los perros salen a pasear con nosotros.
  Contamos con un Salón de Eventos que arrendamos, a pocos metros de la casa, un huerto y un montón de senderos por el bosque que podrás recorrer durante tu estancia con nosotros.
  ¡Amamos nuestra vida tranquila, totalmente conectada con la naturaleza! Intentamos vivir de la manera más responsable posible para reducir nuestro impacto mientras vivimos inmersos en la naturaleza.
  La casa funciona con energía solar y el agua proviene de nuestro pozo. Para calentarnos usamos leña que proviene de nuestro bosque, pero la casa es bastante eficiente por sí sola.
  Queremos construir un nuevo invernadero, un pequeño estudio para nuestro proyecto paralelo, Huellitas en el Bosque.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  Workawayers will be able to learn about wood construction, cooking (Jose is a passionate Chef, who loves sharing all the little secrets to become a great cook), textile trades (needle felt, embroidery, textil toys design), Spanish, how to live self-sustainably in the mountains, how to live with the simplicity of rural life, and how to enjoy a beautiful house in the forest. Learn how to slow down and enjoy contemplation.
  Love and be loved by our dogs and cats.
  
  Los workawayers podrán aprender de construcción en madera, de cocina (Jose es un Chef apasionado que le encanta compartir todos los pequeños secretos para que te conviertas en un gran cocinero), oficios textiles (Fieltro agujado, bordado, diseño de juguetes textiles), español, como vivir de manera auto sustentable en la montaña, a convivir con la simpleza de la vida rural, a disfrutar de una bella casa en el bosque, aprender a bajar un cambio y disfrutar de la contemplación.
  Amar y ser amados por nuestros perros y gatos.

  Help

  We are looking for help to build our new greenhouse (January/Februrary/March) and for this we need people who are willing to assist Jose in the construction of this structure.
  In the summer we also prepare firewood for the winter. We cut it from fallen trees and take it to the woodshed. This is made in February, March and April.
  We will be working on some trails, removing fallen trees and branches. Tidying up the surroundings (March and April).
  We also need help with our pets (give them love and walk with them). For this we need people that really like animals, since we live with them inside the house.
  We love learning and teaching. Any exchange of experiences is welcome.
  
  
  Buscamos ayuda para construir nuestro nuevo invernadero (Enero/Febrero/Marzo) y para esto necesitamos personas que estén dispuestas a asistir a Jose en la construcción de esta estructura.
  En el verano también preparamos la leña para el invierno. La cortamos de arboles caídos y la llevamos a la leñera. Lo hacemos en Febrero, Marzo y Abril.
  También trabajaremos espejando algunos senderos. Cortando arboles y ramas caídas, y emprolijando los alrededores (Marzo y Abril)
  Ademas necesitamos que nos ayuden con nuestras mascotas (darles amor y pasear con ellos). Para esto necesitamos que les gusten mucho los animales, ya que vivimos con ellos dentro de la casa.
  Nos encanta aprender y enseñar. Todo intercambio de experiencias es bienvenido.

  Accommodation

  Inside the house we have a beautiful guest room. It has capacity for two people. The single beds can be put together and converted into a large double bed, so we accept couples, friends or solo travellers.
  The bathroom is private, and is on the other side of the hallway.
  The common areas are spacious and have a beautiful view of the mountains and forest.
  Most meals will be cooked by us (Jose is a Chef, so get ready!), unless we are not around, in which case Workawayers will be asked to cook their own meal with food provided by us, using the house kitchen.
  Starlink (Satellite) internet is available. Speed and connection are pretty decent! :)
  
  Dentro de la casa contamos con una hermosa habitación para invitados. Esta tiene capacidad para dos personas. Las camas de una plaza se pueden juntar y convertir en una gran cama matrimonial, por los que aceptamos parejas.
  El baño es privado, y queda del otro lado del pasillo.
  Las areas comunes son espaciosas y tienen linda vista a las montañas y bosque.
  La mayoría de las comidas serán cocinadas por nosotros (Jose es Chef, así que prepárate!), salvo que no estemos presentes, en cuyo caso, se les solicitará los Workawayers que se cocinen su propia comida con las materias primas provistas por nosotros, utilizando la cocina de la casa.
  Tenemos Starlink (internet Satelital). La conexión y la velocidad es bastante decente! :)

  What else ...

  Our house is surrounded by native forest that can be explored along a small network of trails. There are several species of birds, ideal for birdwatchers.
  We are 3 km away from Cerro Negro, which has a trail that takes you to the summit.
  8 km away is the Polux river waterfall where you can bathe on hot days. 11 km away is Lago Frio where you can rent kayaks or go fishing. You can also visit the other lakes such as Polux, 14 km away or Castor, 23 km away.
  The Dos Lagunas Monument is 30 km away and there you can do various treks.
  Coyhaique is 12 km (14 km from the main square).
  There is no public transportation, but you can hitchhike, or we can coordinate to take you where you want to go if we are available.
  
  Nuestra casa está rodeada de bosque nativo que se pueden recorrer por una pequeña red de senderos. Hay varias especies de aves, ideal para los birdwatchers.
  Estamos a 3 km del Cerro Negro, el cual tienen un sendero a la cumbre.
  A 8 km esta la cascada del desagüe del Polux a donde puedes bañarte los dias de calor. A 11 km esta el Lago Frio en donde pueden alquilar Kayaks o pescar. También se pueden visitar los otros lagos como el Polux, a 14 km.
  El Monumento Dos Lagunas esta a 30 km y allí se pueden hacer varios trekkings.
  Coyhaique esta a 12 km (14 km de la plaza principal).
  No hay transporte publico, pero se puede hacer dedo, o si estamos disponibles, nos podemos coordinar para llevarlos a algún lugar.

  We have good Wifi (Starlink) and connection is quite stable. Inside the room there is no desk, but the common areas will be available for this purpose. Tenemos buena Wifi (Starlink) y la conexión es bastante estable. Dentro de la habitación no hay escritorio, pero las areas comunes estarán disponibles para es fin.
