Nina is a pleasure to have around. She is an amazing person with a beautiful soul and a deep personality. Rather than talking endlessly about how wonderful she is, I’ll just say how much she helped around. She is always ready to help wherever and whenever it’s needed. She never hesitates to take initiative and always comes up with useful ideas. She quickly became a truly treasured person for our family. Highly recommended to anyone lucky enough to host Nina.

Natasha si no nos hubiera dicho que era su primer voluntariado, pensábamos que tenía mucha experiencia como voluntaria. Los trabajos que no sabía hacer, los aprendía con rapidez y correcto. Aprendió a hacer excelentes panes. Es una persona muy recomendable.

Our stay at Duncan's place was great! He was accommodating and his place is great! We enjoyed the work - we laid a stone path at the renovation and did a lot of yard work.

Eva lived with my parents and me for a month, and we had a lovely time hosting her. She immediately recognized (and also double-checked with me that her intuition was correct) how she could be most helpful - company, and meal preparation. She lent us her multi-talented presence, with humour, wit, understanding, knowledgeableness, positive outlook, and a down-to-earth straightforwardness and empathy. These qualities are admirable, and simultaneously set everyone at ease. She was very responsible, reliable, thorough, and easy to communicate and coordinate with, and we all very much enjoyed and appreciated her company. Her cooking was delicious, and she prepared a nutritious (Müesli) breakfast for us all nearly daily, remembering everyone's preferences with the precision of an excellent scientist! To summarize in German: Eva ist Umgänglich, Hilfsbereit, Intelligent. A highlight for us was celebrating together the day my mother's vision dramatically improved, thanks to a cataract operation. Eva was very kind with the kitties too, and they miss her already. So do we!

As hosts, we've met many exceptional people through this wonderful workaway community. This family was definitely one of them. Active, engaged and engaging, understanding, always positive. Definitely worth meeting, we recommend them wholeheartedly :)

Everything about this place and host were excellent!

I had a lovely time! It's a real peaceful place in El Transito, Teresa was really good at communicating from afar and honored all the agreements. It was a very hot time in May, and there was very few guests by the end of the month so I moved on a little early with Teresa's blessing 😊 Would definitely recommend and I'd definitely return!

We spent 2 weeks with Paul & Hermine for our first Workaway experience, and it was a great time. We got a say in which tasks we wanted to help with, and the work was never too difficult or too long. Paul also took us on some hikes and sightseeing around the Pyrenees with the other Workawayers, which was always fun and appreciated. Paul & Hermine were also very knowledgeable about the local landscapes and it was super cool to get an introduction to the land from them. As meat eaters ourselves, we decided to try adapting to their vegetarian lifestyle when we arrived, and meals turned out to be always delicious. They also kept the kitchen fully stocked so we never went hungry! We can't have asked for a better first Workaway experience and highly recommend Paul & Hermine. Thanks for having us! :)

Jone y Johen son una pareja extraordinaria que vive en un lugar extraordinario: una casa en medio del bosque, rodeada de hayas y castaños varias veces centenarios, con un riachuelo cerca para refrescarse en verano. Las tareas son muy variadas, tanto dentro como fuera de casa, y las actividades que se desarrollan en el lugar atraen a personas bonitas con quienes interactuar y compartir. Como anfitriones, Jone y Johen son estupendos y te ofrecen la posibilidad de elegir las tareas que prefieras hacer dentro de las necesidades del lugar. Recomiendo la experiencia al cien por cien.

Liebe Emma, lieber Patrick, es war für uns alle eine große Freude, euch bei uns zu haben. Ihr beide habt mit eurer herzlichen, offenen und harmonischen Art das Zusammenleben hier auf eine ganz besondere Weise bereichert. Man konnte spüren, harmonisch eure Vater-Tochter-Beziehung ist – und genau diese schöne Verbundenheit hat auch uns allen gutgetan. Mit eurem Fleiß, eurer Hilfsbereitschaft und eurem gewissenhaften Einsatz habt ihr sowohl im Haus als auch im Garten wunderbar mit angepackt. Gleichzeitig wart ihr immer freundlich, interessiert und offen im Umgang mit allen Bewohnerinnen und Bewohnern. Ihr habt euch mit großer Natürlichkeit in unsere Gemeinschaft eingefügt und viele schöne, fröhliche Momente mitgebracht – ob bei der Arbeit, beim gemeinsamen Austausch oder auch als begeisterte Kickerfans ;-) Emma, mit deiner jungen, frischen und lebendigen Art, und Patrick, mit deiner ruhigen und wertschätzenden Ausstrahlung, wart ihr ein ganz besonderes Team. My husband and l we considered very lucky to had Pim with us, excellent worker, polite, easy going! He helped weeding our vineyard which looks great. I really hope to see him again, fantastic human been xxx

I stayed for 6 days at Massimo’s place. We worked in his steep, hillside garden during the day. It is a nice, hidden place with a view of the port and the Istrian coast. Massimo is a busy man but he always tries to help his guests and the fridge is full. I had a comfortable stay and one evening he took the four of us for a tour of the city. He has great historical knowledge and good jokes. I recommend him and his garden. Thank you Massimo.

I stayed with her for a little more than two weeks and had a very nice and comfortable experience. During my stay, I helped with painting, weeding, cleaning, and organizing outside storage rooms and a cellar. She is a very kind and respectful lady, and the house was a peaceful place to stay. The garden was always full of birdsong, which made the atmosphere really pleasant. My room was spacious, comfortable, and private, so I felt very much at ease there. There was also another workawayer from Argentina staying at the same time, and we became very good friends. We spent many of our working hours drinking mate, chatting, and sharing good conversations, which made the work feel enjoyable and buena onda. One evening, we also went to an art exhibition together with our host, where I had the chance to meet a Chilean workawayer who had stayed there before me. One of the things I appreciated most was the independent and multicultural atmosphere of the house. At some point, four different languages were being spoken, and I really enjoyed that multilingual environment. The house is in a quiet area, with two towns within around 30–45 minutes walking distance, and it is also very easy to reach Valencia city centre by metro. Overall, it was a lovely experience, with a kind host, a peaceful home, and a nice balance between work, independence, and human connection. I would happily recommend it.

Helena and Benjamin stayed 4 weeks here at my place. Both of them are very easy going and they took care of my place like it was theirs. It was a real pleasure to have them here and I was glad to have trustfully people to share the house with besides agreeing to do whichever tasks I've asked them to do. Thank you guys so much and I really hope to see you again soon!

Sofia was in all ways a wonderful volunteer and I wish she could have stayed longer. Thank you Sofia for your motivation and dedication we will miss you.

I had a great experience! I volunteered here for almost two weeks, during which I got to teach yoga, do some mural painting, help with the guests, and go on walks with theem. Shantanu is an amazing guy! Always attentive and empathetic, he also helped me medically when I was bitten by a dog and made sure I received immediate medical attention and even took me to the clinic in his car. Be prepared to slow down and arrive at a very quiet place, which also requires introspection. I can't think of the words to describe what a wonderful experience it was to have Laia with us. What a heartfelt, genuine human being she is. How kind, energetic, thoughtful and caring. Laia helped out generously with cleaning, organising, cooking, baking, activities with the kids, and yard work. She always saw what needed to be done, and went ahead and did it. She did such creative things with the kids, like making a huge world wall map, making nature art, and teaching them about her home country. We enjoyed hiking together too. I hope we see you again Laia, perhaps we will visit you someday. It was wonderful to meet you :)

Such a fantastic week spent with Barbro and helping out in her beautiful garden. I greatly enjoyed my stay with her; sharing delicious meals, having insightful conversations and exploring the local area a bit, whilst also spending time on some general garden upkeep and maintenance. Highly recommend Barbro as a host🌻

Sophie was a lovely addition to our home during her 2 weeks with us. She was always willing to learn, eager to help wherever needed, and approached every task with a positive attitude. She fitted in well with our team and was a pleasure to have around.

Eugen was a very kind, helpful, flexible helper at our traveling Theatre-street-festival. He helped wherever he was asked to help and even more than that. We are very happy with how it went with him. He is very welcome to come again to our project. We can recommend working with him!
