Even though we realised we are not a good match, we had a good week together, very helpful and organised, clean and independent. Communication clear.

I had a great experience working with Sheena and Benni. Although I was their first official workawayer, it was clear that they are already very accustomed to these types of cultural exchanges. They have a variety of tasks that you can help with depending on your skill set and what your interests are. I was comfortable and supported, and they encouraged me to offer my own creative solutions for tasks on their list. I felt particularly at home as their property is quite literally on a large trail system in a beautiful valley in Piemonte. I could go on small hikes before or after work, or take a day off to go on a longer trek. We exchanged recipes, ideas, jokes, and music. I hope to return soon! Thank you Sheena & Benni <3

It was a great experience. They were very friendly and made me feel welcome from the start. I would definitely recommend this Workaway to anyone who loves horses and wants to spend time on a friendly farm.

Ma che bello è stato! Working with Erasmo was a wonderful experience as a new workawayer. The valley as a remote location naturally produces a wonderful balance between working, resting, playing, and learning new skills. My stay overlapped with four other workawayers' and everyone played their part in making the guest house a welcoming place. After work we would walk down to the river together (accompanied by the outstanding pups Pipo and Pandu), cook big lunches and sit in the sun, feed fennel tops to Chico the donkey, hang out our laundry to dry, weave baskets, etc. Erasmo has a good variety of tasks which I think makes every day fresh and fun. He is a very kind, giving, and sensible person. I cannot wait to go back.

I am so fortunate that Lisa chose me to sit with her wonderful cat Stanley in her beautiful home in Skopelos. Stanley is a delight. He enjoys playing, loves to have his stomach scratched and brushed, and enjoys snuggling, on his terms of course 😊. Lisa’s home is quite beautiful and artistic, super clean, and well organized. It was so simple to know exactly where to find things and where to put them back. I appreciate that she also feeds amd provides water for some of the other street cats who were happy to meet me every morning. Her bright and spacious home overlooks the village of terra-cotta tiled roofs and white washed walls. The village is menagerie of alleys and steps to explore. I have never had the opportunity to live in Greek town like this, and it was quite a delight. From the very beginning, communication with Lisa was excellent. She responds very quickly and was always available for any questions or concerns and offers detailed instructions that I could review when needed. Lisa was super generous with me and also offered to buy me a short shopping list so that I had some food when I arrived, which was quite a treat not to have to worry about finding a shop that was open. Sadly, we never got to meet personally as I came in just after she left and I left just before she arrived, but I feel that I know her just by being in her home and seeing how she surrounds herself in color and textures and art. And it is such a beautiful and peaceful place. It was definitely one of the best Housesits I’ve ever had. It was just what I needed to relax in beauty with a lovely cat and a beautiful, bright clean comfortable home . If you get the chance to sit here, you will be incredibly fortunate. Thank you, Lisa for everything. And I do hope we can meet sometime. I am missing Stanley. Much gratitude. Kelly

What a delightful pair! Theo and Louise are friends travelling together and both brought a sense of fun and good will to my home. I threw them in the deep end when I organised a large community pizza night at the local hall and although they had only just arrived they jumped right in and helped make it a great night. They set up tables, washed endless dishes and helped clean up at the end. We were very grateful for their help. At home they mowed my lawns and removed noxious weeds and vines from the grounds. They cleaned my car beautifully and amongst other things even hung some ready made curtains I had bought. They were always helpful in the kitchen and they did all the tasks I asked of them in good spirit. They pet sat Louie the woof when I had to go to the city.He liked them a lot and took full advantage of their goodwill to score as many tummy rubs as he could and he especially liked the last lovely long beach walk they took him on. So much so it seems he did want to leave the beach! Well done guys for your ingenuity in making it happen!! So feel confident in welcoming these two into your home, especially if you have animals and I wish them lots of amazing adventures and lovely workaway experiences while in this country. Go well guys!

Sophia and Tina stayed at our farm as sitters and did a wonderful job caring for the property and animals. They were reliable, responsible, and communicated clearly throughout their stay. The animals were well looked after, and the farm was left clean and in great condition. I would happily recommend Sophia and Tina to anyone looking for trustworthy and capable farm sitters.

Sabrina was a great guest. She and another workawayer here bonded, and they worked together in the house and yard: clearing many weeds and preparing a large area for planting ground cover, and they spent much of their free time together.

Clare was a great guest: very positive attitude, hard worker, and fun to visit with. She helped out with a number of tasks around my house and at the the venue. Caveat emptor: Clare LOVES karaoke, and basically sings all the time.

Thank you for a nice stay. Wilma and Harm made me feel welcome :) I was helping cook lunch for the family for one week. Then I house sat, looking after the garden and Simba, whilst the family went on holiday. The Finca is truly beautiful. I saw monkeys and a sloth. There is so much nature and hiking around the area. I felt relaxed being in beautiful nature ✨💚

I feel like I'm one of the luckiest Workawayers who had a chance to come to Christine's house. It's a nice house with a pool and a beautiful garden. The best part it's surrounded by amazing beaches within walking distance. I enjoyed every minute of my time there. “Christine I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible generosity and hospitality you showed in opening your home to me these past two and half months. Your warmth and kindness made me feel not only welcome, but truly cared for. It was an honor to contribute to improve your place, and I am grateful for the trust you placed in me to be a part of it. Beyond the work, what I will treasure most are the moments of connection, conversation, and the genuine spirit of welcome that you extended with such grace. Thank you for allowing me to share in this experience—it has left me with lasting memories.”

Thibault is a nice and hard working young man. It was a pleasure to host him. He stayed with us almost a month. And could work by himself or with another volonteers. He make a good team leader. He participated in many projects. Done electric in new bungalow, plumbing, walls, concrete floor, made new terrace. Finished some unfinished projects. With another volonteer he made a new compost and help around the garden, organise the space around tents and much more. He is polite and respectful, curious about other people culture. We don't needed to check on him and we could trust him that he will get job done. If he applies to you consider yourself lucky and don't hesitate to accept him. Hopefully we will see each other again.

I had a truly meaningful volunteering experience at here in Battambang. During my time there, I taught English classes and spent time with the enthusiastic and eager students. Teaching there was very rewarding, and I really enjoyed being part of their learning journey. I also worked alongside the local teacher, Chanthou, who is dedicated, patient, and very supportive. One of the most special parts of this experience was living with Mr. Kamnat and his family. He kindly picked me up when I arrived and later took us on a tour while sharing the history of the places. Rath took wonderful care of the volunteers and cooked delicious home-cooked meals every day. And I was also able to cook whenever I had free time. She also helped me get my bus tickets, after we walked around the Battambang night market. On another day, we all went for coffee with Rath. Mana is also very sweet and helpful. I enjoy spending time with Mana and Chanthou. On one evening, Mr. Saran (one of the students I taught) took me and Beth (another volunteer) out to watch the sunset. He and his wife are very sweet and lovely people. We had a lot of fun as well as a lot of food on this adventure. 🤭 When it was time to leave, Rath and the children took me to the bus station. Since this was my very first Workaway experience, I felt completely safe living with them. They are genuinely generous and warm-hearted people who treat volunteers like family. I also had the chance to meet Mr. John Bohn, who supports the school. He kindly took us out for lunch a sometimes and was very fun to talk to. It was honestly hard to leave because I had such a great experience teaching, exploring, and living with such a wonderful family. It was very memorable, and I will definitely go back.

Thank you, Maïté & Iléa, for staying with us at the farm for about two weeks. We were very happy to meet both of you. You are very energetic, friendly, and funny! 😁 You helped us a lot at the farm—cooking, cleaning, and also taking care of my daughter. I’m really sorry that our kids always went to your room, but they love you so much. 🥰 We would like to say thank you again. We wish you good luck on your trip. Take care and enjoy your journey. Sophea, Hiro, Hirain, and Nimet 🙏🇰🇭

It was such wonderful experience at Andrea's home, we spend 10days there absolutely lovely 😍 First, the place is amazing ! it's so green, you really feel in the countryside (even though it's in the city) There are so much animals and they are so cute : ducks, turkeys, chicken, cats, turtles, dogs & sheeps! Everyone live in harmony in this peaceful place 🌈 Then (and the most important thing) Andrea & Nikki are genuinely good people, so welcoming, always smiling and in a good mood 🫶 It was real a pleasure to chat with them We had such a good time, laughed a lot, discuss about deep subject, cooking together and listening good music 🎵 Andrea is a caring person, always trying to help us in anyway she can! We were received more like friends than volunteers Also, the house is great! Kitchen with everything we needed, shower with hot water and a beautiful room ! This was perfect Finally, the work asked was really doable for anyone and interesting ! They were always here to guide us and answer our questions if we had doubts ! Thank you again for this wonderful experience, we feel so lucky to have shared those moments with you Goodbyes were hard, hope will we see you again Love you guys 🫰

It was wonderful having Giacomo here. He was fantastic in the kitchen and helped get it organised. He was helpful in all areas and got along very well with the other volunteers. Happy to recommend him to other hosts.

This was definitely one of the best workaways I've had so far and words cannot describe how amazing my stay was. Michelle and Wayne went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy. I was at their beautiful place for only 4 days, and they gave me many tips on what to see and where to go, dropped me off at the train station when I wanted to go somewhere, took me to places where I could hike, we went wine tasting and we even made gnocchi and pasta together! They are an amazing couple, fun, friendly, caring and thoughtful, plus Michelle is a great cook (she could easily be a chef)! The work was not hard (weeding, harvesting, moving branches) and Wayne always made sure I had enough coffee/cordial breaks :D We had many nice conversations over dinner and it really felt like staying with friends more than on a work exchange. I wish them an amazing time on their trip to Italy. They will be missed! :)

Andrew is a natural leader with his own eccentric style, and a very generous person. The whole place feels like a reflection of his personality, creative, a little wild, and full of character. The property itself is like an oasis in the middle of the jungle. There are pools, art everywhere, swings, Tibetan bridges, horses, gardens, and amazing views of the mountain. You can really see that a lot of creativity and intention went into designing every detail to make the place special. During our stay we helped with a few different things like small art projects, some workshop tasks, and helping around the property. The roles and expectations were clear, which made everything easy to follow. Andrew also went out of his way to share and teach us about his gardening and design ideas, which we really appreciated. Overall we had a great experience, the place is unbelievably beautiful and it was a pleasure to spend time there and contribute.
