    Description

Welcome to Our Hobby Farm in Beautiful Aldergrove, BC!

We are a friendly family living on a peaceful 5-acre hobby farm in Aldergrove, British Columbia, just about an hour from downtown Vancouver.

    Our farm is home to:

16 horses, including 4 adorable foals born this year
8 friendly dogs, including 2 playful puppies
    2 barn cats
A flock of pigeons and a few chickens

Our horses are used for pleasure riding and breeding for our own enjoyment. Our dogs are well-socialized, easygoing and playful.

Our property is surrounded by beautiful farmland and mature trees, creating a peaceful country setting. Despite the rural atmosphere, everything you need is nearby. The bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away, and you can also walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores.

    Accommodation:
We have two comfortable rooms for our Workawayers:
One room with a bunk bed for two people
One private room for a single person or a couple

The rooms are fully furnished with comfortable beds, Wi-Fi, and study desks. We usually host two Workawayers at a time, creating a fun and supportive environment.

    You'll also have access to:
    A small home gym
A large patio overlooking our horse pastures with beautiful views of Mt. Baker
Plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy country living

    What We Need Help With:
Daily chores mainly involve caring for our animals and keeping the property running smoothly.
    Typical tasks include:
Feeding the horses and other animals
Cleaning stalls, paddocks, and the barn
    Grooming and exercise horses
    General yard maintenance
Helping keep the house and property tidy
    Occasional seasonal yard work

    The daily workload is usually:
Morning: Approximately 2 to 2.5 hours (shared between two helpers)
Evening: Around 1 hour (shared between two helpers)
    Your Free Time

After chores are finished, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the area. You can:
Explore Aldergrove and the surrounding countryside
    Visit nearby cafés and shops
    Cook your own meals
Study or work remotely using Wi-Fi
Work out in our home gym
    Relax on the patio
Ride horses in our back yard arena
Go horseback riding with us when opportunities arise

    Food :
We provide groceries so you can prepare your own meals. We want you to feel comfortable and at home during your stay.

If you're looking for a peaceful place to experience life on a Canadian hobby farm, spend time with horses and friendly animals, and enjoy the beauty of British Columbia, we'd love to hear from you!

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions—we look forward to welcoming you to our farm!
