Aoife ist eine wundervolle Seele die uns mit ihrer Gesellschaft und Unterstützung sehr bereichert hat🌹 Sie hat mir sehr unter die Arme gegriffen mit unseren Pferden, in einer Zeit in der ich nicht hier war konnte ich mich ganz auf sie verlassen und wusste, dass unsere Ponys in vertauensvoller und zuverlässiger Obhut bei ihr sind. Sie hat meine Eltern sehr mit ihrem Pflegesohn unterstützt und bei allen Familienmitglieder geholfen die Englischkenntnisse zu verbessern. Sie hat versucht zu unterstützen wo sie konnte, eigenverantwortlich sich kleine Aufgaben gesucht die uns enorm entlastet haben! Mit ihr zusammen zu sein war eine Freude und wir sind ihr von Herzen sehr dankbar ❤️

Thank you, Wolfgang, for giving me the opportunity to have my first Workaway experience. I spent three weeks at the finca, which was amazing. The finca is small, peaceful, and lovely, and it is surrounded by many great hiking opportunities. The work is absolutely reasonable, and I’m happy that I was able to learn a lot about plant care. The nearest beach is 25–30 minutes away from the finca, so I could swim whenever I wanted. The food is tasty and more than enough. I had everything I needed, and Wolfgang and the other volunteers were really kind and helpful. My stay here couldn’t have been better. Thanks for everything — I hope we will meet again!

Spending time here was a truly rejuvenating experience. We had the opportunity to spend the day immersed in the local nature. Pantilla, Maynine, and Buddy are wonderful people; they introduced us to the local culture through the markets and traditional foods. It was a truly enriching experience, and it allowed us to truly understand the local culture. We highly recommend it!

I only spent 5 days at Jagmohan's place but I have to say that it was super nice. Definitely left a mark in my travel and it was so worth it. So much so that I'd love to come back one day and spend more time helping there with the guest house, enjoy the beautiful and relaxing nature and atmosphere. I helped Jag's mom in the kitchen, caring for guest during meal times, serving food and helping in managing the kitchen. The work was very rewarding, Jag's mom a super good cook so it was very interesting for me to be inside an Indian kitchen and see how things are prepared. The place and the people are very welcoming, always available to communicate our needs and work together as a team. The guest house is such a stunning place, with many chances to see wild animals, being it birds or wild elephants, which unfortunately I didn't see this time, hopefully next time :) Thank you Jag for everything, see you soon.

This place was better than I could’ve ever expected! I stayed here 3 weeks, and unfortunately couldn’t stay longer, but otherwise I would have for sure! When I was there, there was only 1 other volunteer in my first week, and the other 2 weeks I was alone, but I enjoyed the peacefulness of this place and Lobitos. And thanks to Fio and her brother Yoshue I didn’t feel lonely even once. Amazing people these 2! In terms of the work; it’s very simple and chill. It also turned out to be a great learning experience for my Spanish. The hostel itself is beautiful and very historic. I thought it was a really cool place. The village of Lobitos is very small, but has a few great restaurants such as Cora, Gaman and Akua. And obviously it is great for surfing (and learning to surf, like I did) and has an amazing beach. There is no ATM however, meaning you will have to go to Talara for cash. Same goes for food, because there is no market in Lobitos, and the minimarkets are very expensive. Anyway, thank you Oscar, Fio and Yoshue for the amazing time I’ve had and the opportunity to stay here. Hasta pronto! 🇵🇪

I had such a great time with Gerlinde! We gardened, worked in the greenhouse, and did a variety of things around the house. The valley is absolutely gorgeous and swimming in the creek every day was simply the best. I felt very welcome, we had good conversations about all kinds of things, went on long walks, and overall I really enjoyed my stay. Thanks for everything!

We couldn't ask for a better helper! Charles is super hard working, uses initiative, really good communicator, always friendly - has the loudest laugh you ever heard and introduced us to some awesome board/card games! Really happy he stayed with us!

Marco & Eva really touched my heart and I will forever be grateful that they chose to stay with us at Shamba. From the beginning they were so proactive with ideas, execution, hardware runs, searching for wood and dealing with power cuts and delays. They had a great attitude through everything and were always ready to lend a hand. They helped out with carpentry and home improvement. We had some good adventures around Shamba and Kilifi and I wish them all the best

Jo and Jake were the best hosts, had such a brilliant time. Beautiful place and beautiful people ❤️

John and Kaitlyn were the best couple to host. We really got along on a personal level and I can now saw we are friends. They were really helpful with quite a couple of tasks, most of them manual, not very easy in the Kilifi heat, but they were troupers about it. They were respectful of the culture and environment, kept their space and common area clean and even took care of my dog when I was away. I shall miss them but I wish them all the best on their travels and would 100% recommend hosting them.

Laura stayed with us and volunteered in the school for nearly 3 months. She is a very committed and enthusiastic teacher and brought a lot of fun element into teaching and learning English. She also learned a lot of Gujarati during her entire stay. Laura helped new volunteers to settle and show around into the campus which is a huge place with School, hostel, care home, mineral water plant, cow shed, fruit and vegetable plot and a beautiful temple in the middle. This is because she had stayed with us for a longer period of time. She took part in all the cultural and religious events, festivals, local visits to temples and school competitions. Visited local villages and town with other volunteers during out of school hours. Laura taught English, IT and extra curricula subjects, games and gave career advice to the older students. Laura was very flexible as a proxy teacher and was happy to go into class and teach children of any age. This was important as this helped the school cover classrooms at short notice. We wish Laura all the best in her future career and travels across India

Beautiful time we spent at Nik's. Beside little inaccuracy in the info regarding food, which is basically consider as not provided, Nik lets volunteers use whatever they find in the kitchen, and I guess we were lucky to find plenty of food. The place is beautiful and sad at the same time, floods don't let this place breath for long, and it has suffered lots from it, hundreds of animals have died, and decines of structures have been damaged. Still the place remains beautiful, and resulted to us as a lovely escape for two weeks in the mountains, where we could really get in touch with the local culture as Nik is always up for a chat, and some friends or family of his often show up. Also Nik was really really nice, taking us for couple of tours around KL and Janda Baik, or eventually bringing us breakfast and snacks. Because of the floods, there is a lot of job to do, you can really choose among many activities, and Nik is very flexible and understanding. Sometimes it may be confusing with all the ideas he comes to you with, and he might be a bit messy , you know artists heheh but he has a big heart. Thank you Nik for the nice time!! Oh, and he brought two guitars from his sons when he learned I play it, that was really nice too!!

we had a great experience hosting you tess. we loved the conversations over a beautiful meal, as well as showing you how we live on the farm and how to handle the sheep and lambs. you were so open from day 1 and just merged right into our family. thank you very much for giving us a hand and giving us a glimpse into your world. <3

Simon is great! A very kind interesting, skilled, and independent person. He was a fantastic help, I was able to set him tasks and leave him to it. He’s very handy and has an excellent eye for detail. And apart from the help I really enjoyed his company, He’s very easy-going , interesting and thoughtful , has travelled a lot , and is very clean and tidy ! I couldn’t recommend him enough, And wish him a great time with his adventures.

Sarah is a highly responsible and kind individual who consistently maintains an organized and clean environment. Her calm and humble demeanor makes her a pleasure to work with. She executed every task assigned to her with precision and excellence. I highly recommend her and wish her the very best in her upcoming travels and future endeavors.

I spend 2 weeks into the farm the one in tamil nadu, and to be honest the landscapes are not amazing they are nice but not amazing, and I was a little bit disappointed at the beginning because I really wanted to spend time into the beautiful landscapes of his farm in the kerala's mountains. So you could ask why did I spend two weeks there? Because when you meet great people you don't need great landscapes. And Prem is a great person. I spend a really good time with him, talking, working with each other, and learning from each other. He is openminded, he listen to you, he knows a lot about plants and how to cook very good healthy and local meals. Oh and by the way he is building a little paradise planting so many trees and fruit trees, so even the landscape of his Tamil nadu's farm will be amazing in few years. 💚✌️🙏

Dionne and her family are totally sweet and kind. They have a beautiful house in bush and the space they provide you is more than confortable to anyone. The task were simple and Dionne were always understanding and flexible with working hours. And their dog is soooo beautiful literally. I'll miss you Ziggy Regards to all:)

Jerome and Aurelia stayed with us for one week. What a fabulous couple. They were respectful, kind and did a wonderful job gardening. When the gardening finished they took the initiative to do a couple of other tasks we had not requested. We thoroughly enjoyed their company and would welcome them back anytime. We highly recommend this couple should they contact you for a workaway experience. Thanks again Jerome and Aurelia!
