ABOUT US
We are Wolfgang and Esther, a creative, retired couple from Germany living on a finca in the beautiful valley of Mogán in the south of Gran Canaria.
Our finca is about 10 km from the sea. Wolfgang has lived on the island since 2005 and acquired the finca in 2020. We got married in 2021 and love this peaceful place close to nature.
OUR PLACE & LIFESTYLE
The finca is about 3400 m² and has some charming old buildings and stone walls that we're gradually restoring with love and care. On our finca we have diferent tropical fruit trees like avocado, mango, and banana, and we try to start have a small vegetable garden. We live close to the small village. There is gooing a bus to Puerto de Mogan every hour.
YOUR EXPERIENCE HERE
We invite open-minded, responsible single travelers (sorry, no couples or pets) to join us for a cultural and practical exchange.
This is a drug-free space and we ask that you respect this during your stay. Having a drink in the village is fine, but we ask for a sober, peaceful environment on the finca.
We also appreciate respectful attire – think casual but appropriate: shorts and a T-shirt at minimum.
ÜBER UNS
Wir, Esther und Wolfgang, sind ein kreatives deutsches Ehepaar im Ruhestand und leben auf einer kleinen Finca im idyllischen Tal von Mogán im Süden Gran Canarias.
Unsere Finca liegt etwa 10 km vom Meer entfernt. Wolfgang lebt bereits seit 2005 auf der Insel und hat die Finca 2020 erworben. 2021 haben wir geheiratet und gestalten seither dieses besondere Fleckchen Erde mit viel Liebe und Freude.
UNSER ORT & UNSERE IDEE
Die Finca umfasst ca. 3400 m² und beherbergt alte Gebäude und Natursteinmauern, die wir nach und nach liebevoll instand setzen.Auf unserer Finca gibt es eine Vielfalt an tropischen Obstbäumen wie Avocado, Mango und Banane und wir versuchen einen kleinen Gemüseanbau im Einklang mit der Natur zu beginnen.
DEINE ZEIT BEI UNS
Wir freuen uns auf offene, verantwortungsvolle Einzelreisende (bitte keine Paare oder Haustiere), die Lust haben, gemeinsam mit uns eine besondere Lebensweise zu erleben und mitzugestalten.
Unsere Finca ist ein drogenfreier Raum – wir bitten darum, dies zu respektieren. Ein Glas Wein oder Bier im Dorf ist natürlich kein Problem, aber auf der Finca wünschen wir keine Drogen und Alkohol. Wir schätzen ein ruhiges, achtsames Miteinander.
Kleidung sollte dem Klima und Miteinander entsprechen: Shorts und T-Shirt sollten es schon sein.

Wir leben in einem kleinen kanarischen Dorf, in dem die Menschen sehr herzlich und offen sind. Es wird hauptsächlich Spanisch gesprochen – eine schöne Gelegenheit, die Sprachkenntnisse zu verbessern und die kanarische Lebensart kennenzulernen. Das Leben hier ist entspannter und ruhiger – etwas, das viele Reisende besonders schätzen.

DAILY LIFE ON THE FINCA
You'll be able to take part in a variety of hands-on activities like:
Weeding herbs and caring in the garden
Helping with the chickens
Supporting diy projects (if you enjoy manual tasks)
Helping around the house: cooking, cleaning, organizing
We usually start the day around 8.30 a.m. and finish around 1 p.m., Monday to Friday – afterwards there's plenty of time to relax, explore, or practice your Spanish.
We're full of ideas for the future: expanding our solar system, improving water use from our own well, working on greywater recycling, drying and preserving fruits, vegetables, and medicinal herbs...., but step by step.
On our profile, volunteers are not asked to perform tasks that are linked to business or commercial purposes.
TÄGLICHES LEBEN AUF DER FINCA
Du kannst dich in verschiedenen Bereichen einbringen, je nachdem, was dir liegt und Freude macht:

Unterstützung bei Renovierungsarbeiten und handwerklichen Projekten
Mithilfe im Haushalt: kochen, putzen, organisieren
Wir beginnen meist um 8:30 Uhr und sind bis etwa 13:00 Uhr aktiv – der Nachmittag steht dir dann zur freien Verfügung, zum Entspannen, Erkunden oder Sprachen lernen..
Es gibt viele Ideen, an denen wir weiterarbeiten möchten: Ausbau der Solaranlage, Nutzung von Brunnenwasser für Haus und Garten, Wiederverwertung von Abwasser, Trocknung und Verarbeitung von Obst, Gemüse und Heilkräutern..., aber Schritt für Schritt.
Auf unserem Profil gilt, Freiwillige werden nicht gebeten, Arbeiten zu verrichten, die mit geschäftlichen oder kommerziellen Zwecken verbunden sind.

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD
We offer shared accommodation in a four-bed room for men with two bunk beds. Or for wimen a two-bed room. There’s a shared bathroom with a shower and washing machine, a kitchen, a cozy living area, and a terrace. Everything is functional and comfortable.
We provide food every day of the week - also on the weekends.
UNTERKUNFT & VERPFLEGUNG
Die Unterkunft besteht aus einem Vierbettzimmer mit zwei Etagenbetten für Männner. Zweibettzimmer für Frauen. Es gibt ein gemeinsames Badezimmer mit Dusche und Waschmaschine sowie eine Küche, einen gemütlichen Wohnbereich mit Esstisch und Sofa, und eine Terrasse. Alles ist funktional und gut nutzbar.
Für Verpflegung ist die ganze Woche über gesorgt – auch am Wochenende.

There’s lots to discover around here – from scenic hikes and nature spots to the beaches and attractions of the tourist centers, which are easy to reach by bus (running every hour). Whether you’re into nature, culture, or both, there’s plenty to enjoy.
FREIZEIT & UMGEBUNG
Die Umgebung bietet viele Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge und Wanderungen in der Natur. Auch die bekannten Touristenzentren mit ihren Stränden sind gut erreichbar – es gibt eine stündliche Busverbindung. Ob Natur, Kultur oder beides – du wirst hier vieles entdecken können.
VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT
The following agreement is made between Esther and Wolfgang and [Name of Volunteer]:
1. Purpose of the Stay
The volunteer participates in the program voluntarily to enjoy a vacation, improve their language skills, and participate in cultural exchange.
Assistance is provided free of charge in exchange for room and board.
2. Type of Assistance
The volunteer will assist with tasks such as housework, gardening, and simple renovation and maintenance work, as agreed upon.
Safety and health are paramount; instructions from the hosts will be followed.
3. No Commercial Purpose
No activities will be performed that serve a commercial purpose or replace regular, paid employment.
There is no employment relationship in the legal sense; no wages or salaries will be paid.
4. General Conditions
Typical assistance: 4,5 hours per day on up to 5 days per week, with at least 2 days off per week.
Room and board: bunk bed in a room, shared bathroom, kitchen, livingroom, shard meals.
Duration of stay: from [date] to [date], extension only by mutual agreement.
5. Conduct and insurance
Mutual respect, consideration for house rules and privacy.
The volunteer confirms having valid health/travel insurance and is liable for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
6. Termination
Both parties may terminate the agreement prematurely for good cause. Services already provided remain unaffected.

Der/die Volontär:in nimmt am Programm freiwillig teil, um Urlaub zu machen, Sprachkenntnisse zu erweitern und am kulturellen Austausch teilzunehmen.
Die Mithilfe erfolgt unentgeltlich gegen Kost und Logis.
2. Art der Mithilfe
Der/die Volontär:in unterstützt nach Absprache im Haus, im Garten sowie bei einfachen Renovierungs- und Instandhaltungsarbeiten.
Sicherheit und Gesundheitsschutz haben Vorrang; Anweisungen der Gastgeber:innen werden beachtet.
3. Kein kommerzieller Zweck
Es werden keine Tätigkeiten verrichtet, die einem kommerziellen Zweck dienen oder reguläre, entlohnte Arbeitsplätze ersetzen.
Es besteht kein Arbeitsverhältnis im arbeitsrechtlichen Sinn; es werden keine Löhne oder Gehälter gezahlt.
4. Rahmenbedingungen
Übliche Mithilfe: 4,5 Stunden pro Tag an bis zu 5 Tagen pro Woche, mit mindestens 2 freien Tagen pro Woche.
Kost und Logis: Etagenbett im Zimmer, gemeinsames Bad, Küche, Wohnzimmer, gemeinsame Mahlzeiten.
Aufenthaltsdauer: von [Datum] bis [Datum], Verlängerung nur nach gemeinsamer Absprache.
5. Verhalten und Versicherung
Gegenseitiger Respekt, Rücksicht auf Hausregeln und Privatsphäre.
Der/die Volontär:in bestätigt, über eine gültige Kranken-/Reiseversicherung zu verfügen und haftet für vorsätzlich oder grob fahrlässig verursachte Schäden.
6. Beendigung
Beide Seiten können die Vereinbarung aus wichtigem Grund vorzeitig beenden. Bereits gewährte Leistungen bleiben unberührt.
