Description
Hi Everyone, we are team of volunteers managing a 270 hectare probably over a 100 years old olive and horse finca in Villamartín, Andalusia.
Our Boss is Mirko from Germany, does his Magic with horses and manages the place. We have Chiara and Diego a couple from Italy& Argentina Who met here on the finca and decided to stay for good. Diego does his Magic with tools, machines, electricity whatever he finds to fix. Chiara is very good at taking care of the Young animals, super vegan cook and knows everything around the house.
I'm Fruzsina from Hungary and i Live here permanently since over 4 years. I do my Magic where i can 😅. But for real i do a little bit of everything and i organise the daily work with volunteers. On the farm there are 50+ arab horses, 500+ olive trees, ecological olive mill, chicken, ducks, turkeys, donkeys and goats. We have an ecological garden, fruit trees, garden beds and vegetable plant pots. There are three houses with rooms, container houses and caravans so we can accommodate a lot of people this is why we decided to take on volunteers.
The owner of the farm was Ulrike an Austrian lady who moved here 40 years ago. An extremely inspiring person. We helped here a lot and learned from her in the past years. We lost Ulrike in August 2024 and it broke our hearts. She left the finca to Mirko. We want to continue with everything on the farm the way she teached us, as naturally as posible. It is not the easy way of doing things but the right way for us. It's also hard work to get the place back onto its feet but we're putting all our energy and everything we have into it and with time It really shows.
All together, there's much to do and if you are an energetic individual who is interested in any of these activities, or would like to learn about it, this is the perfect place for you and you are the perfect helper for us. If you are passionate about horses, olives, garden, birds, building or all of them (even better if all of them, because so are we :)), if you would like to learn spanish or improve your engish, if you enjoy working outside, meet new people, live in harmony with nature, please contact us. We are looking forward to meeting you.

UN sustainability goals this host is trying to achieve

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You can learn about self sustainable life, caring for animals, local foreging, tree cutting, gardening, local cusine, learning spanish, english or german, Learn to use basic tools, fix water systems, cables, actually depends a lot on whats going on at the time you are here but you can learn a lot.😀
A bit of additional information just to avoid any awkwardness later 😃:
We are really in nature you won't hear any road traffic sirens etc but you hear dogs, roosters, donkeys horses shouting at random times.
Our electricity can go out but always comes back 😉
We have creatures like spiders and mice and if you're very very lucky you might even see a scorpion but noone ever got hurt by any of these.
We work with a lot of animals so sadly there is a chance that you will see animals dead. It's not nice and definitely not our goal but unfortunately comes with the lifestyle.
We like to sit together in the evening and have a drink, play games, listen to music etc. but we will always respect anyone who prefers peace and quiet too.
Help
Every day animal care of course. 😊 Also we are trying to renovate everything. We have a lot of experience and knowledge about buildings already, but we always need extra hands.
The other thing is i need a lot of help around the House with basic housework. Next to working in the mill, with the animals, running errands and working on the renovations i go crazy with all the House work that comes with having a large group of volunteers 🙈

Guest room or caravan it's your choice, shared bathroom and kitchen, wifi
Everyone cooks 1-2 days a week depending on how many helpers we have on the farm. We provide meat and vegetables from the farm, anything else that we need anyone can put on the shopping list (placed on the fridge in the main kitchen) and we do the shopping in town one or two times a week.
What else ...
You can visit nearby attractions such as Zahara de la Sierra, Ronda, Sierra de Grazalema National Park, Bolonia beach. On the farm you can go riding, walking on the mountain you can spot rare birds, even voulchers. There are nice shops, bars and restaurants in Villamartín, or if you want to go further you can visit even Cadíz, Jerez, Sevilla, they are all not even 2 hours drive away
