Juliette and Laeticia are two amazing girls with so much kindness and always with a smile in their faces. We had the luck that they found us and helps us with all types of tasks during 2 months, they are reliable, positive, helpfull, and you just really feel comfortable having them around. Just happy about all their stay! Fully recommended as workawayers, and friends ♥️

Thanks so much Tracey and Andrew for host me during 10 days ! i really appreciate them and their dogs ! 🙂 II felt like a member of the family ! I learned so much and talked about Tracey's passion, I loved sharing those moments! Tracey makes really good meals and delicious cakes!! We had a lovely time staying with Mark and Philippa (and Chris!). They were so welcoming, their property is beautiful and the chickens are adorable. The accommodation was great, very clean and comfortable, and you’re very much treated like part of the family from the get-go. The work was fun and very reasonable, and the food delicious. We can’t thank them enough for a wonderful week- setting the bar high for future work-aways!!

Hola a todxs como estan? Gracias por leer. Les comparto que Bella estuvo en casa por 15 dias. Nuestra experiencia fue muy hermosa porque pudimos aprender y enseñar nuestras habilidades al mismo tiempo que ayudamos en casa de familias que habian perdido todo en los incendios. Bella es una mujer muy empoderada, independiente, proactiva y le gusta mucho aprender nuevas manejas de crear. Es dinamica, habla muy bien el español y creo que es una persona muy inteligente y observadora. Tuvimos la posibilidad de ser todas mujeres y eso fue una experiencia muy hermosa. Muy recomendable para que la reciban en sus proyectos.

David stayed with us for 10 days and helped us with our house cleaning and gardening projects. He helped us with progressing the many tasks we needed to get done! David enjoys cleaning tasks and working with small fine details. At our daily dinners together, we enjoyed sharing with David as he has many stories of his travelling adventures and unique interests! He likes to learn about different cultures and is very curious by nature. Thanks so much David for helping us out, and enjoy the rest of your travels!

Nuestra estancia en casa de Omero fue formidable. Pudimos conocer e intercambiar con personas maravillosas en La Florida. La región está llena de lugares increíbles como los 5 lagos, la cascada de Ojo de Agua, e incluso tuvimos el privilegio de acompañar a Omero y a 2 de sus mulas hasta la laguna Miramar! En la zona autónoma zapatista donde se encuentra La Florida no hay turistas; la inmersión es total, es una excelente manera de perfeccionar tu español. Los días están bien ocupados, pero el trabajo es siempre agradable y lleno de descubrimientos diarios. Tuvimos la suerte de participar en la cosecha, el secado y la exportación del cardamomo. También hay plantaciones de café, litchi y maíz. Nuestra casita fue muy confortable y un hermoso río atraviesa la propiedad, ideal para nadar y bañarse! ¡Muchísimas gracias a Omero, Alfredo, Anita, Arbey y Doña Vale por esta estancia inolvidable a su lado!

Ole was a pleasure to have stay with us - he was such fun. Great sense of humour and did so many varied jobs for us. He loved the animals and Although we could never master how to pronounce his name, he forgave us time and time again 🤣 Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to other hosts.

We had an amazing experience at Rocío and Huáscar’s home. We met the whole family and were treated as if we had always belonged there. Peru was very good to me, and I enjoyed every day we spent there in Chanchamayo. The people there are friendly and relaxed, and we never felt rushed. The cultural exchange was very enjoyable. We stayed for only two weeks, and during that time we cut, measured, and used bamboo to build fences. We also shoveled a lot of dirt to fix up an area of the property. We took pictures and videos of an event there as well. We were always surrounded by great people like Don José, Mama Carmen, and Valencia. We ate three times a day, had a good laugh every day, and had the chance to share Mexican food with them a couple of times. We wish we could have stayed longer, but it was the end of our trip. We definitely need to come back again.

Laurane and William came and spent 10 days helping us with our house cleaning and gardenig project. They were great help and assisted us with many tasks. Laurane has a very sweet, caring nature and is very detailed, conscious and committed to any task we gave her. She helped us so much with cleaning and always had a positive lovely attitude which was so great! William helped with outdoors and gardnening tasks, and helped us a lot with progressing the many tasks we needed to get done. He has a calm and kind nature which was very easy to get along with. They are a very sweet couple who are currently travelling the world. Thank you so much Laurane and William, it was a pleasure to meet you both!

I was enjoying my time at Mike's place to the fullest! During my one-week stay I got to do versatile tasks, from staining to cleaning and trail building, and learned so many new things under Mike's guidance. The house was really cozy, and it was so nice and fun to share it with Mike, Billy the sweetest dog and other Workawayers - I really felt welcomed there and we had great discussions and delicious dinners :) I truly appreciate Mike's hospitality and willingness to show us around the area as well. I had a lovely week - thank you so much Mike!

Ambika's visit was short in days but filled with smiles, beaux arts, wholesome conversation, and inspiration. Her volunteer contributions were centered around figuring out how to paint on glass to get us started in the creation of several window panels to fill spaces with color and light. I am thankful for Ambika's visit and hope she returns to Minas de Oro, she is always welcomed. Buen viaje y buena vida, Ambika.

Manee is a very nice host with a lot of knowledge , skills and sympathy . Personally i remained 16 days in this place and it was really a very nice experiance with many gifted-workawayers .

Sofia is truly one of a kind. She is a naturally caring and thoughtful person who brings a calm, positive presence into our home. From the moment she arrived, she fit seamlessly into our family and quickly became someone we could rely on and trust. She has a fantastic work ethic and approaches every task with enthusiasm and care. During her time with us, Sofia helped with a variety of jobs including horse care/riding, outdoor duties, general household tasks, and assisting with the children. No matter the job, she always gave it her best effort. We feel very lucky to have had her stay with us. We would definitely welcome her back anytime and highly recommend her to any future hosts. She will be missed.

Laura and Jean-Jacques spent more than two months with us, they worked hard in and outside the house, Laura si a very quiet and pleasent person and was very kind and friendly with our kids, JJ is very funny and brillant, he hard a special feeling with our dog. They helped us for any our request and we spend a good time togheter. We raccomend them as two excellent Workawayers!

It was so amazing to share our home with Anna for a week! She is such an easy-going, very reliable and open-minded person. So thanks to her, our balcony is now ready for the spring and summer and all our indoor plants are happy again in their bigger pots (in the right soil for sure)! On top, we had such a great time while doing so many things together like eating (with some unknown food for Anna and ice-cream for sure), going to a café, sight-seeing in Nürnberg (with all the old churches) and birding (including all the new German and English birdnames) and we loved all the chats in between. We shared so many thaughts and stories and got an insight in our different lives. Anna, even when it just has been a week, we really enjoyed having you around and hope to see you again - in Nürnberg or somewhere else! There are some birds we have to find (or plant, not sure about this) together and there will be no Quark for you, promised! Have a great journey! 🧡

Ju ju è stata fantastica. Una ragazza che vorrei tornasse. Perfetta nei compiti richiesti, rispettosa delle esigenze di casa. Amorevole e tanto affettuosa e attenta con i cani e i gatti, che per me è la cosa più importante.. Spiritosa, curiosa ironica e autoironica. Mi è molto familiare e la accoglierei sempre volentieri. Anche ai figli è piaciuta tanto! Grazie Ju Ju!!!

Nos ha hecho mucha ilusión compartir trabajo y momentos memorables con Louis, él es un joven con valores y principios en una sociedad que está fallando a los jóvenes al devorar su futuro. el sabe bien lo que queremos decir pues ha sido activista climático y ha intentado luchar porque el futuro de la juventud no fuese el Colapso pero la gerontocracia dominante ni reconoce la Emergencia Climática ni actúa en consecuencia y peor aún provoca guerras por el sucio y letal petróleo. Louis es una persona trabajadora, atenta , amable y empática que es 100% confiable, a pesar de ser consciente de lo que sucede a su alrededor a nivel global siempre tiene una sonrisa y vive la vida con amor e intensidad. Es una persona profundamente inteligente . Mientras estuvo con nosotros en sus ratos libres se volcó en la lectura y en la practica del Bo Staff Freestyle y del Jo japonés lo cual se le da muy bien y creemos que ya no abandonará la practica aprendiendo más técnicas y nuevos trucos y esto por supuesto nos llena de orgullo al haber Louis valorado y asimilado todos aquellos conocimientos que podíamos ofrecerle. Hemos hecho una nueva amistad y recomendamos a todos los hosts a Louis por su bondad, sinceridad y buen hacer y esperamos que nos sorprenda con una nueva visita cuando él considere oportuno y quiera que nuestros caminos se vuelvan a cruzar. We have been delighted to share our work and some memorable moments with Louis; he is a young man of strong values and principles in a society that is failing young people by devouring their future. He knows exactly what we mean, as he has been a climate activist and has fought to ensure that the future of young people does not end in collapse; yet the dominant gerontocracy neither recognises the Climate Emergency nor acts accordingly, and worse still, provokes wars over dirty and lethal oil. Louis is a hard-working, attentive, kind and empathetic person who is 100% trustworthy; despite being aware of what is happening around him on a global scale, he always has a smile and lives life with love and intensity. He is a profoundly intelligent person. Whilst he was with us, in his spare time he threw himself into reading and practising Bo Staff Freestyle and Japanese Jo, at which he is very good, and we believe he will not give up practising, learning more techniques and new tricks; this, of course, fills us with pride, as Louis has valued and taken on board all the knowledge we could offer him. Il comprend parfaitement ce que nous voulons dire, car il a été militant pour le climat et s'est battu pour que l'avenir de la jeunesse ne soit pas synonyme d'effondrement, mais la gérontocratie dominante ne reconnaît pas l'urgence climatique, n'agit pas en conséquence et, pire encore, provoque des guerres pour le pétrole sale et mortel. Siriane est une jeune fille par son âge et pourtant déjà une âme enrichie par ses expériences, sa joie de vivre, ses nombreux talents d'artistes et sa gentillesse. Un peu timide et réservée au début, nous avons pu partager rapidement de beaux moments authentiques et profonds. Elle m'a fait le cadeau de découvrir ses nombreuses compétences artistiques (musicienne, parolière, poète, peintre, décoratrice, culinaires,... et j'en passe...). j'ai vraiment pu lui faire confiance sur son travail d'artiste et j'avoue avoir été merveilleusement récompensée par les belles peintures murales et de mannequins qu'elle m'a faites. Je pense qu'elle ne connait pas encore sa vraie valeur car elle est, à mes yeux, une artiste déjà bien confirmée qui peut se lancer dans tout projet qu'on lui confie. Toujours serviable, souriante, agréable à vivre, nous avons, avec un autre couple de workaway partagés des moments qui resteront gravés dans nos coeurs. Nous avions, je pense, trouvé une telle complicité tous ensemble, que nous formions comme une nouvelle petite famille ... sans oublier l'importance donnée par chacun aux animaux qui ont également été bien câlinés par Sisi . (surtout Ginette) c'est vraiment avec un petit (gros) déchirement au coeur que j'ai vu partir Sisi et pourtant, je lui souhaite de s'épanouir dans tout ce qu'elle entreprendra car j'ai confiance qu'elle va encore épater d'autres personnes que celles côtoyées ici, durant son séjour.. Merci Sisi d'être cette belle Ame que tu es déjà à 23 ans. Continue à écrire et chanter avec ton ukulélé, peindre et décorer avec tes doigts de fée et exister comme tu ES.

It was an extraordinary and intense experience. Marilyn was a wonderful host and a patient teacher when we needed her to be. The whole staff went out of their way to accomodate us. This mostly unknown part of the world where two distinct cultures have learned to coexist, though, is the real show: unique, undeveloped, and wild, it is sometimes a harsh place. The work can be hard, but with a little effort, rewarding. We soon felt at home here. An exceptional experience in an authentic place that we highly recommend.
