Hi! My name is Ambika. I'm 19 years old and from Germany. I want to spend the next year travelling and volunteering. My main goal is it to make as many new experiences as possible, learn new skills on the way and get to know new amazing people! While doing so I'd love to support your projects by helping out.
In my free time I love being creative. I oilpaint, play the guitar (though I'm not very good at it) and I really enjoy cooking new vegan dishes. I'm a quite active person. I do strength training and I go running. I like spending time in nature, going for an adventurous hike or just for a chill little walk. I also read a lot. I like languages and I'd love to learn more. So far I speak English, Swedish and of course German. I'm very interested in topics such as wildlife- and nature protection, biology and sustainability. My favorite type of work is defintetly something practical, outside in nature. I'm currently at my fourth month of doing workaway and there is soil stuck in my hands which is not comming off anymore...Its been stuck to my skin for over a month now. So I feel like I'm in a position where I can say that I don't mind getting my hands dirty, even though I do worry about them not ever getting clean again!
I also want to try out volunteering in different hostels. One of my favorite things about travelling are the people that I'm meeting on the way!
I love getting to know new travellers and exchanging all those crazy and funny experiences and I've stayed at so many hostels, at this point I need to know what it's like behind the scenes :D

I have experiences with gardening, I love cooking and baking, I have experiences with working with animals, physically demanding work is something I enjoy a lot, I like working with children, I can help out with household maintenance and cleaning, teaching you German or English, organizing stuff, I could also teach you how to paint and draw or how to bake proper german bread :)
The list is long and since I'm a pretty fast learner and an adaptable person, I can easily learn new skills.
What I love so much about workaway is that is gives you an opportunity to try out different kinds of work. As mentioned, I've been travelling mainly through workaway since September, so I do have quite a lot of volunteering experience!
