We’ve been staying with Siri for a week and it’s been a beautiful experience. The job was easy, teaching English to the kids is something we enjoyed doing but an important responsability. The kids are keen to learn, but each one of them has their own way of learning, patience and creativity are necessary. For this record, we particularly enjoyed the cooking English classes, as we thought it would be a fun way to learn, and we know for sure they loved it! Siri is a wonderful host, she’s been like a heartwarming mum for us, always taking care of everyone and making sure we had food and fun. She took us out to eat every day and brought us to see some nice temples and waterfalls around the area. She also let us use her motorbike to go around on our free time. She’s been a good friend other than a host and we are grateful for this experience!We spent a very good week with her and for sure we hope to meet her again one day!

Nice couple eager to handle any task presented and showed a genuine interest in the work. Quite skillful and knowledgeable in a wide variety of work and construction projects and made a great team of volunteers for us. They proactively made some improvements to the cabin in their spare time which was thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Kept the living quarters nice any tidy. Highly recommend!

Barbara was truly a wonderful Workawayer to host. From the moment she arrived, she showed a lot of initiative, responsibility, and a very positive attitude toward everything she did. She is extremely self-motivated and always looked for ways to help without needing much direction. It was clear that she genuinely cared about contributing and making things better around her. Beyond being a great volunteer, Barbara became much more than that during her stay. She became a friend and a great support. Her kindness, calm energy, and thoughtful presence made a real difference in our daily life. She was always willing to lend a hand, listen, or step in when things were busy or challenging. She worked with care and attention to detail, was reliable and organized, and got along wonderfully with everyone in the house. People naturally felt comfortable around her, and she helped create a warm and positive atmosphere. We are very grateful for the time we shared with Barbara and would warmly recommend her to any host. She is not only a fantastic volunteer but also a genuinely lovely person to have around amd we'll miss her <3

Axelle was such an amazing teacher and honestly just a really special person to have with us. From the first day, she brought a calm, positive energy into our home and into the school, and she connected with the students so naturally. Even though her time with us was short, she made a real impact on the students and us! She was reliable, respectful, and easy to communicate with, and she fit into our routine like she’d been here much longer haha. The students genuinely loved her, and you could see how comfortable they felt speaking with her. After she got comfortable she had such a great way of being supportive while still pushing students to speak more and try harder. On a personal level, we really enjoyed having her around. She was kind, thoughtful, and just a pleasure to talk to. Both us and the students are sad to see her go, but we know she’ll do great things wherever she goes next. Axelle, if you ever find yourself back in Cambodia in the future, just know you are always welcome here with us. Merci Axelle. I don't have enough words to describe how wonderful this place and the people living there was. Thank you so much JayaSri and Lila for having me there. One of the most beatiful workaway experiences EVER. Lila is kind and easy to talk to, JayaSri is such a lovely person and she is the best at cooking and flowers!! Lots of differents kinds of works to do: cleaning, fencing, painting, gardening, cooking, organising.... lots of free time to spend on the side areas (waterfalls, ponds and bush walks...) THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!

I've stayed at Serena's for two wonderful weeks, full of deep conversations, a lot of delicious food (Serena's cakes are amazing) and plenty of time for myself to enjoy the neighborhood and relax. The tasks are well explained, Serena always makes sure you have everything you need for a proper job and you can plan your job schedule. The property is beautiful and you'll enjoy volunteering, among nature and quiet. The accommodation is what you can't imagine, a room with your own bathroom. Serena is wonderful person besides of being a great host. I hope to come back! Also because I miss Serena's cakes;) Thank you very much Serena

Words really can't describe this beautiful experience. I got to spend the most amazing five weeks with Nazli, Ilker and Luca and left with my heart full of good memories and new friends! As soon as I walked through their door I felt very welcomed and like a part of the family. Nazli always made sure I was happy and had everything I needed and also Luca is a really happy and cheerful baby (with the fluffiest cheeks ever;)). The apartment is in a really good location in the city (Lisbon is a beautiful city btw) and you can reach everything important walking but the public transport also works well. Thank you again and I really hope I'll be able to come back to Lisbon one day!

My partner Hannah and I spent a wonderful 3 weeks here getting to know Maria and some of her friends and working in her garden, in particular turning her compost to make it usable in her garden, as well as doing some seeding, mulching, pruning, cutting down some bamboo and general garden maintenance. The garden here has potential, especially with a little more time and attention from volunteers. Maria trusted us right away once we showed that we weren't afraid to get dirty and do some outdoor work. It's great to see such a great little yoga and garden sanctuary in the heart of the city. Hopefully we'll be able to return there sometime in the future.

Karine nous a rejoint à la dernière minute et nous avons été très heureux de l'accueillir. En plus de s'etre intégrée très facilement, Karine est très autonome et nous a été d'une grande aide dans le champ. Elle était toujours souriante et disponible de même qu'ouverte à la discussion, aux échanges et aux partage. Merci Karine pour ces semaines passées avec nous

First of all, I would like to say thank you. The host was a very kind person. It was my first time using Workaway, and he made me feel very comfortable and welcome from the beginning. I was really impressed by how passionate he is about his work and how he continues to pursue his dreams with determination. The house is a little far from the center of Madrid, but it is surrounded by beautiful nature, and the two weeks passed by very quickly. The work mainly involved gardening. It made me very happy to see the garden becoming cleaner and more beautiful as we worked on it. The host also gave us plenty of breaks, which made the work environment very comfortable. I couldn’t speak Spanish at all when I arrived, but this experience made me love Spain even more. It also inspired me to start studying Spanish. I hope to see him again someday. I truly recommend this host to anyone considering a Workaway experience!

Alejandro was an invaluable member of our maintenance team for over a month. Not only did he execute every task with precision and diligence, but he also brought an incredible energy to the workplace. His positive attitude and sense of fun made a lasting impact on team morale. I would highly recommend Alejandro to any organization looking for a hard worker who truly brightens the environment.

Deb and Alex were excellent guests, workers and friends. I would recommend them to any work away host that is looking for some excellent help and Company. They took excellent care of my dogs and me taking the dogs for long walks and swims in the ocean. They got a lot of work done, took good care of their living space and my surroundings as well and took good care of my pet parrot as well. Deb was able to get some work done remotely while Alex enjoyed some surfing and helping me out with everything else. I was so glad Deb was able to catch her first ocean fish.

I had such a wonderful staying with Sarndra for a week in Dunedin. She is such a wonderful and creative person and her home and lifestyle really reflect that. From the moment I arrived I was welcomed in to her home and her little peace of paradise. During the time I was there, there were five other workers and we had lunch and family dinners together every day, and got to explore Dunedin in our time off. Sarndra is a great cook and makes lunch and dinner and sets out food for breakfast in the morning. She also has a great view of the city and it’s a short walk to the beach and some wonderfully cold ocean water. As for the work she has a beautiful garden with many creative projects within it. The work was different every day which kept it interesting. I gardened, picked apples, got gravel from the local quarry, and worked on building her wonderful little amphitheater. It was so cool to see the progress made over the week and learn how to mix and lay concrete. She is fantastic to work with and gives clear instructions, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Sarndra’s place to anyone looking for wonderful conversations, good work and an overall enjoyable experience. I wish you best of luck on the rest of your garden projects Sarndra, thanks for having me!

Anita, Nana and Alvaro welcomed me on their property and I had a nice experience. I stayed for a month and had a wide range of activities from tilling the garden to fixing the cable management, cleaning dishes prior to the restaurant opening or polishing the restaurant furniture. My usual day would be a 4-hours work after a short breakfast. Lunch was provided and I would cook a dinner for myself or with the others volunteers. We had some nice moments with the others volunteers and the hosts. The work was in interaction with Raoul, Veronica or Ipi who don't speak english, so most of their interaction was in spanish, or in something akin that allowed both of us to understand each other >< Anita speaks very well in english, and communication with her was eased as a result Freetime: the afternoon is usually free. And if worked, I would send a mesaage telling how much more I worked to even the tables on following days. There is two days of rest after working 5 days, which can result in a patchwork of rest days with others volunteers. Yotala is ~10km south of Sucre, and collectivos go back and forth every 15/30 minutes. Yotala has the basic food, but for more fancy ones, it is best to go to Sucre (SAS or Mercado Centrale) Overall, a good experience, and I thank again Anita, Nana and Alvaro for their welcoming stay 😊

I stayed a week at Michelle's place and did some cleaning. The tasks were simple. Michelle was super friendly, communication with her was from the beginning clear and welcoming. I had a lot of time to enjoy the terrace, walk by the beach and explore the neighboring villages. Public transport to the town where Michelle lives is good, as well as public connections to the neighboring villages. Definitely visit the castle on the hill if you get the chance. Thank you Michelle for welcoming me in your beautiful house!

a peacefull 10 days in this beautiful family. Spirit of love, life, joyfull in this area with kind people. everything was clear, work, sharing life. I have beautiful memories of my time their, I felt supported in my choices, for my life and they help me to elevate me. I'm so glad to find Madlin Tiaki Mahina Tawhai on my way. I have new friends in Waitetuna now

My time with Peter and Lizzie on Waiheke Island was absolutely fantastic. While helping out with small tasks, I feel like I received so much more in return. We shared so many great moments—from walking together and driving along the beach to watching movies and enjoying olive oil tastings. I will never forget the healthy and delicious meals they prepared for me every day. Also, I’m already missing their adorable dog, Roxy! I highly recommend staying with Peter and Lizzie.

I had a wonderful week with Cole in her lovely farm. It was a pleasure to talk with her, in particular during the meal we shared (she's a fantastic cooker!). Working around all the animals was really nice and Cole is really precise in her work expectations so I find it quite easy to achieve what's needed to be done. The wing of the house where I stayed was very clean and confortable. Definitely a good experience :)
