Paula and Simon are really lovely couple! Was sharing good vibes and music and helping in the missions and the work at my project. Really recommend!

We had a truly special time at this project. From the very beginning, we felt at home, not only because of the beautiful surrounding nature, but especially thanks to Melvin and his family (the guard), who made us feel so welcome. Cat arrived a couple of days later, and we quickly built a lovely connection with her. It immediately felt like a genuine friendship, without hierarchies, which we really appreciated. We also spent quite a bit of time with the other workers from Guatemala and were able to form meaningful bonds with them. Some of the work was quite physical, but Cat always made sure we didn’t overdo it and felt comfortable. Hector (Cat’s partner) also took us in for a few days at his other home near Antigua, which was another very special place where we felt completely at ease. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone considering helping out on this project. It’s truly something unique. A big thank you to Melvin, Diana, Adrian, Angel, Cat, and Hector, as well as the other workers, and of course, our adopted chickens, Karin and Carmen 🐔

We visited David and Jacqui at the end of March. Since we had a car, getting there was fairly easy, but the hills are quite steep, so drive carefully! The views are absolutely to die for! You can just be sweeping and look out to see the incredibly beautiful, sprawling Andalusian landscape. David always took the time to go over the plan for the following days, showing us exactly what to do and always praising us when we did a good job. The work mostly involved cleaning, weeding, and painting—nothing too demanding; even a petite woman like me could handle it all. Every week, David offered us a beer, which was a very sweet detail that showed his hospitality. It was a joy to work with them; they are very caring and kind people, and we wish them only the best. We will remember them for a long time. THANK YOU!!

The two months were truly one of the most intense and beautiful experiences I’ve ever had. From the very beginning, I felt welcome and part of something bigger – not like a guest, but like a real member of the place. One absolute highlight was definitely the storm we experienced and got through together. Even though it was challenging at times, it brought us all incredibly close. These are the kinds of moments you never forget, and they’re what made this time so special. Beyond experiences like that, it was especially the many conversations, the shared work and daily life, and the encounters with all kinds of different people that made these two months so valuable. I didn’t just learn a lot about the country, but also about myself. Maike and Kai are amazing hosts – warm, open, helpful, and simply great to be around. You can immediately tell that they put their heart into what they do. They made sure everyone felt comfortable while still giving plenty of personal space. I would come back anytime and can highly recommend this experience to anyone who is open to new impressions, genuine connections, and a bit of adventure. Thank you for everything – see you next year ✌️

Staying at Ramon’s house was a truly wonderful experience that I would recommend it to anyone. The tasks are not difficult but very diverse, which kept every day interesting. I spent most of my time in the garden, and it was a pleasure because Ramon has incredible patience—he explains everything clearly and shares his knowledge of gardening. He is also very flexible. The house has a great atmosphere- filled with animals and surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants. A special mention goes to Mon, the wonderful dog who stays by your side during work as the perfect companion. Ramon also provided me with a bicycle, which allowed me to explore the brilliantly organized cycling routes in the area. To top it off, during the weekend, Ramon helped me visit some of the most beautiful seaside villages and towns nearby. Oh! And I need to mention the amazing food- every next dish topped the previous one. Thank you Ramon!

I had an amazing time volunteering with Mahesh and his fantastic family. From the moment I arrived, I felt like a true member of the family. The whole family- Mahesh, Rosemary and their sons- are incredible and welcoming people. Rosemary is a fantastic cook and her Sri Lankan dishes were delicious. She is such a very kind person. Mahesh is equally wonderful—he is an expert on teaching English but also on Sri Lankan history and culture. I learned a lot from him. The teaching experience was truly incredible. The students are exceptionally well-disciplined, open-minded. And most importantly- very eager to learn. There were no issues in the classroom, Students' enthusiasm made every lesson a pleasure. Mahesh helps organize your free time. He is flexible with working hours and makes it easy to coordinate your schedule. He was a huge help in organizing trips and excursions. If you are looking for an authentic cultural exchange with a supportive and loving family, this is the place to be! Thank you for everything!

I stayed at Yeldos and Gulnar's home for 2 weeks in March. This was my second Workaway experience and I'll cherish these memories forever ❤️ Everything was wonderful! I learned so much about Kazakh culture, the food was delicious, and I loved cooking with Gulnar while listening to Dimash hahaha. Yeldos and Gulnar are absolute sweethearts I immediately felt like their daughter at home so I really want to say Thank your рақмет from the bottom of my heart . I was also lucky to share this experience with an amazing German girl, Mariella. We had so much fun together, especially our trip to Esik during our free time. She made everything even more special! The main job was taking care of the chickens—they were adorable! It was my first time caring for chickens, and Mariella and Yeldos taught me so much. Now I love them even more :) We also had a goat and her baby that we named Yuki and Ari. I hope Yuki grows up strong and healthy! We had plenty of free time. The first 4 days were very cold (-12°C with lots of snow), but it was stunningly beautiful. After that, we had beautiful sunny days, perfect for working outside! We also helped prepare chicken feed, fixed a wooden door, gardened with flowers with chai breaks, of course—tea, tea, tea !, and more. Even if gulnar is not speaking well english we comunicated with our heart, yeldos Is improving with english each days which is very impressive :) Keep up ! I loved every second of our conversations. The whole energy of the house was so peaceful and cozy as if I were always part of it so for all of that Thank you so much yeldos and gulnar. After the workaway I left for almaty and they kindly drove me there ( almost 1h30 ) as they were selling eggs to almaty too which was again very kind of them <3 If you are looking for meaningful conversations, learn about kazakhstan and share real cultural exchange this workaway experience is for you I even plan to come back next summer because it will be sooooo beautiful with the flowers and the warm temperatures I hope mariella could go again too ! Muriel was incredible 😊 We were really happy to host her. She found her place in the house really quickly, we had really interesting conversation with her, she was very curious, was asking question about any topics. And she worked really well, she was independant. It was a pleasure to meet her and we hope to see her again (all animals are missing you - us too of course 🤪).

Merci à vous 2, non seulement pour tout ce que vous avez effectué comme travail durant votre séjour car... cette tempête ne nous a pas épargnée au niveau du bücheronage. Mais aussi pour vos autres compétences, bricolage, peinture, jardinage, créativité... et tout le reste. Avec notre autre workaway (Siriane) et notre ami autochtone (Juan), nous avons établi des liens "famillaux" qui resteront gravés à jamais. Que de beaux moments partagés en dehors du travail et de bons petits repas, barbecue, soirées animées, promenade, musique, jeux, ... que du bonheur. Enfin, quel bel exemple vous êtes ... tant au niveau individuel que de couple. 2 belles âmes riches et pleines de belles énergies. Encore MERCI pour TOUT ce que vous avez apporté à ce lieu magique qui aura également gardé votre empreinte de votre passage. I was lucky to be able to stay nearly three weeks with Anthea, Ken & pets. It has been a great experience, on all levels of being. Working in the outdoor garden, discovering the surroundings and staying in a cabin with a much needed fireplace. I would say it was a total dive into Irish culture and lifestyle. The communication with Anthea was perfect, besides the complete information it was also very funny and I love to read one of her novels if she ever decides to write one... Ken is a very relaxed host, he has introduced me to woodwork, taking care of mechanical equipment and driving on the left in my rental car after not driving for many a year. We went out to the beach and played with Shandy & Dubh which was a True joy. They are lovely. The chickens did most of the talking (or should I say tokking) about town life. At least, I think they did. The food provided by the host was a real treat, more than enough and the cooking facility was perfect for not to difficult preparations. They also did my laundry once a week which was so nice, because I could travel light. And the washing smelled so nice after! Thank you Anthea and Ken for the wonderful experience to stay with you in your beautiful home.

Beautiful experience in this magnifiscient place for 2 weeks. Leonard knows how to take care of people he receives. the communication was always good and the tasks were adapted to my abilities. I recommend and would definitely come back here ! thanks for all

Colin and Luisa are great people with open minds. Their house is tidy and cozy. The work is outdoors and it is a great place for a gym. It is not suitable for people with health restrictions and for lazy people. Colin cooks really well, and the food is varied and healthy. Colin is also an excellent teacher. Everyone has the opportunity to learn a lot of new things and push their limits. We often had lunch and worked together, and this greatly improved my English. The location is really beautiful and peaceful, ideal for walks. It was great, I really enjoyed it, I have a lot of memories and great experiences. I am very grateful for the wonderful opportunity to improve myself and meet new people.

You are all beautiful people I genuinely felt at home with. So, for that, and for many things - Thank you ! A few days with you lifted me up, and made me feel at peace. You are honest, fun, and inspiring people living life the way it should be lived. I hope to see you again soon for more work in the field, quality time with smart kids, dancing / music nights, games, family dinners, and philosophical conversations with the family and other awesome workawayers !!! Fue una semana en donde avanzamos muchos proyectos gracias al trabajo de marco a su disposición . Marco Gracias a ti por esta semana, por todo lo compartido y por traernos un pedacito de historias y de costumbres de tu tierra, por compartir con nosotros y permitirnos hacerte parte de la familia, agradecemos mucho tu trabajo y el amor y dedicación que le pusiste a cada tarea, además de permitirte jugar y compartir con nuestra helena y sus ocurrencias, ya conoces el camino, por casa siempre bien llegado!!

Durante las 2 casi 3 semanas que compartimos jamahl, fue muy respetuoso, siempre pendiente de poder servir y aportar, cocinó una rica comida de su tierra para nosotros, compartimos historias compartió con nuestra hija y siempre tenía una muy buena disposición. gracias esperamos que vaya bien el viaje y que si regresas volvamos a coincidir

Kyle is a relaxed artist. Although he is very young I could connect with him really good. He painted my kitchen wall with Aurora Borealis art. Amazing art! He asked many times If I need help and did his task very well. He also teached me singing technique. I like the story also where he got his name from. I recommend this worker!

Axelle es una mensajera universal, una hermaga increíble!. Alegre, positiva, de buena voluntad, entusiasta, respetuosa, amable, y que también dá espacio para los tiempos personales. Me cautivó desde el primer mensaje, sentí que eramos de la misma tribu y luego, cuando llegó, nuestra conexión sólo aumentó más y más. Nos contribuyó muchísimo y lo mejor, que se sintió que fue desde el corazón, desde la intensión real, verdadera y auténtica. Cada labor, cada actividad la realizó con mucho amor, hacia el bio-espacio, hacia la naturaleza, hacia el cosmos. Nos ayudó con la huerta, a desmalezar y rescatar nuestros mini cultivos que estaban camuflados entre el alto pasto de verano. También nos ayudó a cosechar los ajos!. Además fue nuestra casera por un fin de semana :), con apenas conocernos un par de horas, sin embargo, era tanta la cercanía que nos dió la confianza para que cuidara de los animales y para que se permitiera habitar el espacio en total libertad. También nos dejó de regalo un lindo mural en los vidrios del baño. Gracias por compartir tu arte hermana!, aún lo tenemos de recuerdo :) Además, por supuesto, recalcar las tremendas y mágicas charlas. También salimos a pasear por el territorio costero, gracias por sacarnos a caminar jaja Excelente intercambio cultural!!, seguramente cuando vaya a Bélgica, también me sentiré en casa, tenemos muchas cosas en común jaja. Abrazotes hermaga querida. Esperamos volver a encontrarnos en cualquier rinconcito del mundo!, o feliz si quieres volver algún día, ya tienes una casita por aquí, un faro verde donde llegar. Totalmente recomendada como voluntaria, es una bendición contar con tu presencia! Gracias totales

Manyatha did a very good work by capturing each and every activity and place of our campus. She has spent time beyond the working hours expected and took time to understand every aspect of our ecovillage. Her work would definitely be useful for our media team and for our promotions. I had a wonderful time with Agnieska . It was a truly an immersive experience, spending time in my ecological guests house, weeding in the garden and taking the dogs for a walk. Great experience for my pets.. She is wonderful and so eager to help. She arranged the time in a win win process. She is super!! at weeding I am grateful to her chose to spend time here. She fit right in from the beginin I appreciated her initiatives and ideas, her proactively doing things as well as sharing her observations and knowledge. I highly recommend hosting her!
