What an experience ! We didn't expect this amount of generosity and good mood ! Thank you so much Damon for making ourselves feel so good. We wish we could have stayed longer, to help you more and to discuss more about everything and nothing.

We had such a wonderful experience hosting Maya. She was absolutely fantastic with our kids — patient, kind, and very engaging. Using her teacher approach, she taught our young kids new skills and encouraged good manners in a gentle and positive way. Maya is also a great cook and brought so much joy to our home through food. We loved experiencing dishes from around the world, including Japanese, Mexican and American foods. Additionally our kids loved baking all sorts of yummy treats with her. Beyond that, she was highly reliable with household duties and always happy to help wherever needed. She brought a fun, positive energy into our home and was simply great to be around. We would warmly welcome her back anytime and highly recommend her to any future hosts.

Our stay at Souarni’s house was so great ! We really enjoyed playing with the children and walking the dog to the beach every morning ☀️ Liam always has so much to teach, and so does Souarni. They showed us beautiful places in the area, and we felt very comfortable in this lovely city. Thank you again for welcoming us into your beautiful family! Margot & Mathis

Wow, where to begin! … I have spent an unforgettable month in El Kelaa with the most amazing people and I can’t believe it went by so quickly! Volunteering at the school 🦉 has been an incredible experience. Navigating a language barrier can be very humbling, but in the best way! I’ve really enjoyed the challenge of adapting to each student and learning so much about everyone. The staff and students at the school are all such lovely people and were incredibly warm and welcoming. All of the volunteers became like family, we had so many days filled with laughter. Rachid, the volunteers guide, welcomed us and made the experience extra special, showing us all the best spots around the city, and bringing the best homemade cous cous from his mum - shukran bzef Jamila! I have made a lifetime of memories, but some special ones include; watching sunsets from the rooftop, visiting the mosque, going to hammam (it was so beautiful to see all the women, washing each other and washing us when we looked confused!), being invited into people’s homes to share food (it’s unbelievable how welcoming everyone is, people are just sooo lovely!), midnight Darija lessons with Said, painting a mural on the rooftop with all the kids, and countless more!! 🌝❤️❤️💕 As a young solo-female traveler, I felt very safe in El Kelaa, but do be prepared to be stared at a lot, it’s a very un-touristy place so people are mainly curious what you’re doing there. Also if you come in winter bring warm clothes as the villa can be pretty cold at night! My main advice is to be open, to try speaking in Darija (it’s surprising how many friends a few phrases will make you!), and to go with the relaxed flow - last minute plans have been some of the best!

Vit was a breath of fresh air. He reminded us of the importance of staying grounded. Because he came at a time when we had alot of projects. But Vit always found time flto engage in communication, and to share deep insights about life. Your wild presence is welcome again and again.

Merci Zohra :)

Having Angelina and Antoine work with us has has been an extraordinary experience. They are kind, committed, and incredibly hardworking. They started working immediately upon arrival, always with a fantastic attitude and immense dedication. They are a very pleasant and fun couple, with a genuine interest in meeting people and collaborating. They helped us with the design and implementation of the garden from scratch, working long hours under the sun with a big smile, always helpful and kind. We highly recommend them; they are wonderful people who will stay in your heart, and we hope to have them in our lives again in the future. Guys, you have a home and a family here that will always welcome you with open arms. Don’t hesitate to welcome them.

Maxime, Alize and the kids, gave us a warm welcom. The arrival was spectacular, we drove the campertruck into the garden. But with the help of Maxime and the other families, we were in our spot and the barbecue evening could begin. It was great fun to help with Maxime and Alize's project. The work that needed to be done was varied and Maxime was always open to feedback. There was plenty of space for conversations and the atmosphere was relaxed. In the afternoon, we had time to ourselves and used it to go for a walk, play board games with the other families or build a fire. During our stay, there were two other families (Workaway), besides Maxime, Alize and the kids. It was really enjoyable; both the children and the adults had a great time and made friends. To other workaway families, when you are looking for a nice host, this is the place. Many thanks and good luck with the project. We are looking forward to a annual update :-D and if we are on Sicily we will visit you for sure!

A truly phenomenal experience. I cannot recommend this workaway enough. Beautifully organized and imbued with meaning, it was more than just a standard workaway--with the dedication and beautiful spirit of Mish and Nige, mahi was transformed into purpose and volunteers into community. We did trail maintenance, trail building, gorse removal by hand and herbicide, planting, and weeding. The work was physical but fair and we began each morning with a meditation. I will miss the team of 9 volunteers desperately, they've become such close friends. love u mish & nige! and pups ash & rue.

Zineb stayed 6 weeks with us and it was a pleasure! She is such a wonderful person - attentive, kind and always lending her helping hand. Being super social, she was always up for our activities our sharing meals with fellow volunteers or guests. One night she made Crepes for everybody and it was amazing. She understands everything with the first explanation and is a very proactive character. So you basically never have to worry about anything! We loved to have her around and would be so happy, if she wants to join us another time again.

This was the most amazing experience! I had the most incredible time staying with Mish & Nige who went above and beyond to accommodate us! The property is incredible and the work is so interesting. We learnt so much from Mish & Nige. We also had the BEST group, we all got on so well. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I hope to come back to visit this very special place again one day. Thank you so much Mish & Nige & family!

Gracias!

I spent two weeks at the ashram and received a very warm welcome. I settled in quickly and met many interesting people. Bryan, in particular, was always open to conversation and took the time to show me how to play the mridanga. The facilities were all very clean, and I always had access to good food. The interaction with the cats, who loved to be cuddled, was also lovely. It was a wonderful first trip.

I feel really grateful for having had the opportunity to discover this place and share those 3 weeks (January-February) of my life there with Ana, Bruno, Fred and the others great volunteers (and Michael, for one week). They are all beautiful souls. This was such a rich experience to discover another way of living. I felt immediatly at home, never judged. Ana, Bruno and Fred really do their best to make you comfortable and to make sure you have everything you need. I think the communication is easy and fluid. You have to work 25hrs per week and they are flexible : if you need a day off, you can add hours on other days, as long as at the end you did 25hrs/week. I never felt spyed or pressurised about the work, which is really important to me. The tasks were always ok, and most of them were outside so it's really nice when the weather is on your side ! Some were really meditative (like cleaning the temple :D). Each day, we do a gratitude circle before beginning the work and we eat lunch all together : those two moments are real sharing times, very powerful. You can join the spiritual activities if you like to, but if you don't, it's completely fine. You'll never be judged or discriminated for that. You can discover and take what you're feeling like : for me, that's the magic of this place and that what makes this workaway a real cultural and social exchange. Thank you so much for everything, I wish you all the light and love you gave me :)

Bori and Hanga spent 10 days helping me on my farm, helping with farm chores and the goats. Altough I don't usually have workawayers in the winter, I decided to host them because their communication was very clear from the beginning, and their timing fit ours well. They helped to cut and clear branches that the goats previously chewed on. They didn't mind continuing in the cold weather, and were focused on what we discussed. They were also very flexible with adapting to my car-free way of life. They enjoyed the company of the goats, being outdoors and cooked for all of us while respecting my gluten free kitchen. We played some cool games after and discussed various topics like ecologic living, and I am happy I got to know them and their views on these matters, also to to help they provided to start of this season on the farm.
