    INTRODUCTION

Living from the Heart in the present moment and following that silent voice inside that is joyfull and bold is much easier when we are in supportive company. We welcome volunteers who are interested in exploring spirituality and self-discovery, regardless of their religion, culture, or prior experience
as long as they are open-minded, respectful, and happy to live in a vegetarian and peaceful community.

By welcoming volunteers, we aim to share daily life, care for our living environment together and support one another on the path towards simplicity and awareness.

Coming together we feel a deep joy in supporting volunteers and friends eager to know themselves behind their apparent personality, so they can attain a deeper and lasting sense of peace and happiness.

Sharing life in devotion to Self-discovery is only possible when there is a sincere longing in the heart, a readiness to follow a little discipline and a mature awareness of self-responsibility of one's own emotions and experience.

    PRESENTATION

We are a private homestead producing food for our own consumption and for the people staying with us.
Our Finca is on a beautiful land of fruit trees (Olive, Orange, Lemon, Nispero, Avocado, Almond, fig...) in the outskirts of Orgiva in Las Alpujarras. We are a mix of German, French, english and Danish and we speak together mostly english and spanish.
Our finca is within walking distance (15mn) from the lively town of Orgiva, where there are many markets, events and communities of spiritual, holistic and alternative nature ( biodanza, hikes in mountains. beach 30mn drive, waterfalls 25mn drive, Buddhist temple ... ) , and still our land has the precious quality of quiet nature with birds singing and beautiful views of the mountains.

We aim to live a simple life with universal spiritual values like gratitude, respect of Mother Earth, kindness, care, charity etc...

    TYPE OF TASKS

We are planning to care for the surroundings of our living spaces and shared outdoor areas.
in the garden we will be caring for the trees and with the continuation of establishing a vegetable and flower garden using homa therapy and permaculture principles, watering, grass cutting, maintenance of water channels and more. As we have only been on the land for 2 years now, and are focussing on establishing ourselves more deeply on the land. The work of establishing a food forrest is still in its very beginning, even though many trees were already here. There can also be tasks like marmelade making, harversting fruits and herbs and sowing seeds using the biodynamic seed calendar. The temple needs regular cleaning as well as picking flowers to decorate it and cleaning the copper items that are used during the ceremonies.
Cooking and cleaning is part of what all volunteers do.
Once our immediate environment is maintained we do charity ( food and clothes distribution) and plan reforesting our more extended surroundings.

    RHYTHM AND EXCHANGE

We follow a daily rythm with 5 hours of help a day/ 5 days a week. Breaks☕, meals prep🔪, dishes 🍽and cleaning of commun areas 🏠are extra🙏, those tasks are shared between the volunteers. We mostly work 5 hours before lunch (which in spain is around 15h) and afternoon & evening is generally free if daily working hours are completed. When the tasks and instructions are known, there can also be a flexibility with the placing of the work hours. Volunteers are responsible for recording their own working hours which helps us to have an overview. We trust them to do so accurately — there is no monitoring or surveillance involved .Some tasks may require a different scheduling as well as the weather changes. In summer it's too hot 🔥 to work in the middle of the day. In winter❄⛄ early mornings are too cold to work.
Volunteers are not replacing locally hired workers or professionals, we have regularly a professional gardener and builders coming. The rhythm here is designed to support cultural exchange, shared life and learning.

We ask for a minimum stay of 3 weeks to give you time to settle in, get to know the place and people, and become comfortable with the tasks. We enjoy supporting volunteers in their experience of life on the finca and sharing our community, gardens, and activities together. Seeing volunteers feel welcome, engaged, and connected is what brings us joy and motivates us to continue hosting.

We have taken the habit of gathering in the morning with all volunteers to express for 10mn gratitude. Everyone is welcome to express and share. We realised it really supports us to feel connected to each other as a community and also to set the dynamic and the mindset for the rest of the day . Work is for us a celebration and another expression of the gratitude we feel for life.

We love playing devotional music together and celebrate with regularity Bhajan & Kirtan (mantra singing) on the land and around in the neighbouring commuity.

We are simply learning from each other and supporting each other by doing our best to stay centered in the heart. We are so happy to share from various teachers, for example by sitting in satsang or in silence together or sharing gratitude. As well as we enjoy other helpful tools like aarti, singing together bhajans, kirtan, silent sitting, japa, read or listen to satsang and spiritual stories, Agnihotra, and charity or seva.

Depending of the time of the year we may have a spiritual program to support visitors in their Self-discovery.

Usually once/twice a week there will also be bhajans and kirtan with our local Sacred Song Circle in a spiritual center in town and around in the area.

Participation to the devotional activities is optional and all volunteers are welcome to participate as much as they enjoy it.

    .

A musculation machine, the temple, the pool , the tepee and the river are available for volunteers. We have clothes for work and also ceremonies outfits to borrow. We can make available also all the telagram groups for the numerous events, rideshares and sale in the area. Órgiva being very alternative town there is almost every day or every other day something fancy to do.

    ARE YOU A FIT?

We enjoy a relaxed atmosphere within a certain discipline, to live in a clean & loving space. The general focus is gratitude, respect and service to all.

We eat vegetarian (plant based nutrition and sometimes dairy), no alcohol, drugs and tobacco.

We are not able to receive smokers nor people trying to stop smoking or stop drinking alcohol because the dependency can drag people's attention in a different space than the one we wish to keep, and it becomes a strain for us to support people who are not really ready to keep themselves free of intoxicants.

We cultivate a healthy hygiene and clean, with respectful clothing adjusted to circumstances; We love there to be an awareness that this place is dedicated to Self-realisation and also that we are coming together from different ages and cultural backgrounds, and so we wish that all can be comfortable.

Apart from a sense of being useful, effective, punctual and easy going, some sensitivity is a much appreciated quality.

In case a volunteer is temporarily unable to participate in activities, we ask for open communication so we can adapt together.

We welcome volunteers who are emotionally stable and able to participate fully in daily life. If you are currently experiencing deep emotional or psychological challenges, this may not be the best time to join us as we are not equipped to support volunteers who are currently going through serious psychological difficulties, or do not have a health insurance covering them in spain.

For your application please take note that we recruit only one month ahead maximum. We are not able to plan more than that as our livestyle is quite spontaneous and open for the surprises of life, while staying connected to our commitments.

Our place cultivates a simple, grounded and service-oriented approach to inner life. We welcome volunteers who appreciate spiritual practice focused on humility, gratitude, tasks and inner stillness (rather than sensual-based or "tantra"-style spirituality). We value presence over theory, sharing from the Heart rather than intellectual debates.

Life here is joyful and peaceful. It may take a few days to adjust. We keep a drama-free atmosphere, so please arrive ready to embrace calm and simplicity and let things unfold naturally.

    Who are we?
Our project is just in the starting up phase and we are excited to be in the trust of where it might take us.
Michael & Guta and live part of the time in Germany and part time in the finca, they are fisiotherapists.
Bruno is employed as an elderly, end of life and disabled care giver as well as carpinter helper and musician, hehas his daughter Alma with him half the time, Ana is carpinter helper and has a training in ecological farming . She has her daughter Aluna with her half of the time. Fred, who came to us as a volunteer, now live with us also. He is retired with extended experience in forest care and DIY.

There is also our very cudly cats Maou and Mio and Pico the magical peacok who appeared spontaneously and recently on the land the day of a ceremony related to the peacok symbol!

We are gradually improving our living environment and common spaces. We have an old caravan and a tiny house for volunteer housing. Apart from that we receive volunteers in tents (with matrasses) in the warmer months of the year. We have one big room, Tila, which serves as kitchen, eating space & common room. This place is sheltered yet windows are open so it can be cold in winter by wind or rain. You need to have a good health and proper clothing.

We also use our newly build temple Sri Ardineshwara Mandir and the tepee for our gatherings.
We have two bathrooms and two really beautiful compost toilets with mountain view. There is lots of outside spaces with trees, and several simple shared spaces evolving over time

If your Inner Guidance or intuition tells you that it may be a good place for you, then you are most welcome to get in touch!
We look forward to hearing from you and we hope you'll find support for your Inner discovery with us.
