Experience Authentic Homestead Living in Sicily, Near Noto
We have a dream for a long time, to make a sustainable homestead nestled in the beautiful landscapes of Sicily, near Noto. Join us in a haven of olive groves, almond trees, community, and mindful living.
We are Maxime (Canadian), Alizé (Belgian), Yuna and Jao. In 2010, we started traveling around the world. After more thans 10+ years on the road, we now moved to a more sedentary lifestyle. Back in Europe / Italy / Sicily / Siracuse / Noto.
We first met in Tanzania in 2010 and then started our backpack journey for 4-5 years. Then, for more than 3 years (2015-2019) we lived in our old Mercedes 207D 1985 van traveling all over Europe. We then converted a shuttle bus into our other home (during Covid years) in Canada and then travel North America for a year with it. We have finally decided to settle down under the warm sun of Sicily.

Daily life consists of general help throughout the house as you will learn about sustainable living. We are open to teach you new skills and learn from your existing skills.

We can accommodate you if you travel with a van (preferred) OR we might have a place in a roulotte, camper and/or a bell tent with beds on palettes. We have running well water, exterior hot shower and every lodging can have its own heater. We have good running internet and you can charge using the sun or through our main solar system. We share lunch and dinner together in the shelter and we leave you food for breakfast to have either in your lodging or after the kids go to school in the shelter.

The property is rural, in an almond tree grove and so quiet and relaxing. I joked to my friends back home (Aus) it was like I had found the Sicilian Outback.
Still close by and short drive to many beaches and towns (Noto was my favourite!) and… read more
