Hi, my name is Maya and after graduating university 2 years ago with a degree in Education I have been traveling the world! I have been lucky enough to go to over 30 countries and have spent a good chunk of time in Japan where my mother is from.
In college I was apart of the Japanese club and danced Hawaiian Hula which I really enjoyed!
I am passionate about traveling, being outside, playing/watching sports, eating yummy food, walking everywhere and exploring new places!

I have worked at a sports camp for the past 6 summers (3 years as a counselor, 3 years as the site manager). I was in charge of 120 campers and 20 counselors which allowed me to gain many leadership skills. In college I worked at a daycare and have most of my job experience working with children!
I have good time management and leadership/collaboration skills being the Event Coordinator at my university’s Japanese club. I can also speak Japanese!

I love game nights! Recently I got into Dutch Blitz/ Pounce and my friends and I constantly play it! I also like Uno, Monopoly, or any other board/ card game.
I grew up playing volleyball, soccer, lacrosse and crew and love staying active and being outside. I grew up in Seattle, WA so going to baseball, football and soccer games were always so fun.
Walking in new areas and stumbling upon cafes, parks and beaches is another passion!

I spent 3.5 weeks with Jakk and had an amazing time! Everyday started by walking her dogs Dakota or Luna to the beach or my favorite Gunners Barracks where there is a great view of the harbor. We really loved having Maya stay with us. She is so bright and bubbly and full of fun and just jumps right in to help with whatever needs doing. Our kids really loved spending time with her too. She is really great company and good fun to have around. Would have her back in a heartbeat.

I spent one wonderful week with Dave, Katie, and their kids Delilah and Freddie (and of course their dog Snip and cat Tiko)! The view overlooking their house onto the water and nearby islands is beautiful and experiencing island life was so fun.

I spent almost 3 weeks with Sarah and her family and had an amazing experience! Great Mackerel Beach is a beautiful place that is a hidden gem. Going on bush walks to West Head, The Basin and Barrenjoey Lighthouse as well as paddle boarding, swimming and walking along the beach was so fun.
