We spent four weeks with Samuel and Cata. They took into account that carpentry was what we enjoyed most and gave us projects that matched that, from doors and railings to shelving, among others. We really enjoyed being able to transform the spaces and leave our mark on their home. Their house is simply beautiful, and it was enriching to get to know them and share that experience. Thank you for the opportunity and the trust you placed in our collaboration.

Niko was super professional and thorough in his work at our Foundation. He helped us design and build a new website and in a short period of time completed a big part of the work we needed. We are super grateful for his dedication, creativity, and kindness.

Freya was an absolute pleasure to host. Kind, respectful, easy to communicate with, and lovely company. She’s a hardworking, motivated person and a great cook who fit seamlessly into our home.

Haruna was a last minute Workaway who only stayed for three days at the end of her New Zealand trip, and I wished that she had more time as I really enjoyed her company. She came to help with the bees and although she had no previous experience of beekeeping she was an excellent help, she was calm, focused carefull and was confident when working in the hives. She also harvested some honey for herself and processed the wax. Whilst she was with us she also helped me paint the inside of a cabin for which I am very grateful and I got to experience a tasty Japanese dish. I also appreciated how helpful Haruna was helping out in the kitchen and general chores. I highly recommend Haruna and she is welcome back anytime.

Heinrich stayed for two weeks and was a great person to have around. He was proactive, helpful, and never seemed to find anything too difficult. He always contributed willingly, both with the planned tasks and with anything extra that came up along the way. I really appreciated the ideas and improvements he suggested, as he brought a thoughtful and practical attitude to everything he did. He was also very friendly with the animals, took good care of his own space, and was respectful throughout his stay. Beyond the work, Heinrich was also a pleasant person to spend time with. We had some very nice conversations and moments together. I hope to see him again in the future.

I spent a bit less than a month with Omur and his family and had a fantastic experience. I felt super well taken care of and got to contribute to various projects around their property, along with doing some routine farm tasks as well. I was mainly focused on shoveling and then spreading gravel for the new enclosures around the raised beds, firepit area, and front garden, though I also did some weeding and trimming of the olive trees. It was so cool to see what started purely as an idea begin to take shape, and I thought it a privilege to have a small part in it. I very much miss our regular evenings with tea and the fresh olive oil and eggs! I also enjoyed learning through our many conversations about life in Turkiye, food, and many other things, especially over some good Buzbağ ;) I'm deeply grateful that I had this opportunity and strongly hope to come back to see how the projects are coming along and maybe even help with an olive harvest. Excellent

Anja and Christian were a great support for almost two months. During this time, Anja was responsible for the cat house—feeding, cleaning, and socializing the 21 cats—as well as feeding and walking the dogs. She handled all of these tasks absolutely wonderfully. The feed kitchen and the cat house were spotless—not just because they were cleaned, but because someone truly cared and paid attention to the details. She also always took the time for the cats and looked after them with genuine love. Christian was an incredible help on our large property. Whatever needed to be done, he always had a solution. He is highly skilled in gardening—he took care of the lawn, removed weeds, pruned trees, even gave lessons on tree pruning, fertilized, and built creative privacy and “pee-protection” structures. Both of them were a huge help, very patient despite the bad weather, and flexible with all kinds of tasks. It was a real pleasure having them with us, and of course we hope their path will lead them back to us one day. They are definitely a great asset to any project!

I've had such a lovely time staying with Valentina, Riccardo and their kids! I've experienced them as such a open and giving family and the "work" there was definitely doable, with a lot of free time and flexibility. I felt really welcomed and comfortable. Thank u guys:)

Angelina really made a big effort in helping us. She mostly made food and cleaned the house. But did it in happy mood and good spirit. I never had so much warm Italian food for lunch 😊

Camilla, Chiara and Martina worked hard and were really helpful, they helped with a lot of painting. They were friendly and honest, it was a pleasure to host them. I would highly recommend them as workaways.

I loved my time at this place. Work is super chill, the place is beautiful and I loved hanging out and talking with the staff. It was really easy to go to the main island and I felt really comfortable everywhere.

Nice guy and helpful

Natalia and Ferdinando hosted us for a week in February. They both were very kind. We helped them on thé garden, around the house and to build their new eco house. It was very excited. We recommend them as a host.

Madeleine is very helpful in every tasks, animal, garden and teaching as well. She was always ready to walk with Zorro, our dog and very respectful about the house and the environment. Thank you for your great help. We look forward to seeing you soon.

I stayed here about one week and it has been a memorable experience! The landscape is unique, the house is warm and clean, Leif&Anna-Beth are super kind and sweet. Communication was excellent, the work was interesting and variable and during the weekend I've been free to visit how beautiful this area is. I have been running, cooking, swimming, reading, hiking and done so many others beautiful things Absolutely recommended!!

Victoria a été d'une merveilleuse présence. Elle est pleine d'intelligence, d'égards et sait témoigner sa satisfaction.Ce fut un pur bonheur de l’accueillir.DE surcroit elle a fait une vidéo sur notre Centre qui est en lui-même un cadeau. Nous espérons avoir la joie de la revoir.

I had a good experience during my stay and I’m grateful for the opportunity. Min was kind and supportive, and I especially appreciated being welcomed and having the chance to stay a bit longer due to my flight cancellation situation. The students were lovely and I really enjoyed teaching them and spending time together. I met amazing volunteers during my stay as well. Thanks for everything!
