Hi workawayers! 😊
Our lodge is located on a small island in the paradise of Bocas del Toro, right in between the jungle and the ocean. We have a huge water slide, a swimming pool and spacious social area where our guests have cocktails (& staff too! 🍹) while watching the most outstanding view. 2007 and 2025 winner of best Hostel in Panama!
We do not accept children at the Lodge (it is includes children behavior)
We are looking for workawayers to be part of the family! You will be helping us by doing some chores around the property and more importantly, by adding to the legendary vibe the Lodge is known for⚡. The rest of the time, you are free to use the pool, waterslide, kitchen, kayaks and everything else that we offer :) 🏊
We are a busy place, so you will have the chance to interact with so many people from different ages, backgrounds and parts of the world 🌎. You will be surrounded by nature, woken up by the sounds of the birds in the morning, watch the stars at night while having a chat with a random stranger you just met and you might even see some bioluminescence. This is the kind of experience that will create memories for a lifetime!

You will be on our small island off the coast of Panama which has a few indigenous communities of fishermen and farmers, we also have many local Panamanians working at the Lodge.
Help
We ask for 15 hours of work a week 🕐 and 4 weeks commitment. These are three possible shifts volunteers do, which are about 3 hours each:
Morning☀️: Organizing and Lead Daily Tours (you can join for free to the Tours/Activities)/Activities for guests or Hang out with guests & be a jungle hike guide
Afternoon🌄: Greet the check-ins & do some cleaning and organizing of common areas
Night🌙: Do the welcome drink & the night activity (we do music trivia, movie night, bingo…)
In exchange, we offer accommodation in a three or two bed volunteer room (we usually have a total of 5 volunteers at a time) and use of the staff kitchen 🛏️🥄.
We cannot offer food but you can get other very good perks for you :)
Please mind that at the moment we do not accept couples, apologies! (The company have a policy of non romantic relationship between staff - we consider volunteers as part of our staff)

Bocas del Toro is an archipelago with 9 main islands in the Caribbean coast of Panama 🏝️, and it’s one of the top tourist destinations in Central America, with white sand, warm & clear water beaches 🏖️, outstanding tropical biodiversity, great party scene, world renowned surfing, local culture and a community of people from all over the world that arrived and never left! It’s also the only part of central america that has a party crawl organized every friday.
It's easy to find groups of people here to go do different activities, like going out to party, hiking or surfing 🏄
Please take in consideration that we have a lot of request, so please once we contact you try to answer us back a soon as you can, if you do not answered us back after 4 days of contacted you we will asume your plans have changed and so you will not be interested in doing the workaway with us, so we will give the opportunity to another beautiful soul.

it was our first workaway experience and we liked it so much. it is a really nice property and house directly on the sea. the hosts are very friendly and helpful guys and they made us feel home. good place to go! thanks again for everything.
