Description
Hello! I'm Simon and I live on a Swedish farm, in the traditional style with some buildings from the 19th century. There is nature all around, open fields and forests. Lots of wild animals and birds. However the closest town is no more than 15 minutes drive.
There are Valais Blacknose sheep on the farm, and I'm planning for chicken. I'm expanding my vegetable garden, which I wish to grow organically.
I enjoy the country life and the practical work renovating the houses, chopping fire wood, milling lumber and tending to the garden. I am also interested in a broad range of topics, such as natural sciences, technology, history, politics, society. I like board games, especially the classical ones. Hoping to play with guests that share the interest!
Some examples of musicians I like are Keith Jarret, Nils Frahm, Árstíðir.
There is a train station a couple of kilometers away, with commute trains to Norrköping and Linköping. Both cities offer cultural activities, museums, libraries et c.Types of help and learning opportunities

I am personally interested in lots of topics, and an avid DIY person. I like to learn new skills and hope we can learn from each other.
Help
I'm currently renovating the farm, which is of an older standard. I'm preparing to get some animals and wish to expand my garden. I would appreciate help in all areas :)

We had the honor to stay at Simon’s farm for two weeks! Simon is a really sweet, clever and relaxed person.
We had a lot of fun together and we were joking around a lot. Everything felt really chilled, without any pressure or strict timetables etc. Both of us got used to the lifestyle pretty fast and developed some little routines. He also… read more

Immediately taking charge of the kitchen, showing off excellent German cuisine, putting in a ton of work fetching and loading hay in the barn for the whole winter, shearing the sheep, and other tasks in the garden. I also got architectural suggestions… read more

We had some great conversations with topics going from politics to gaming to farming, and everything in between. Simon was really considerate in showing me and Lucas how to use the different machines and the safety precautions. Our dinners were nothing short of amazing, with each of us taking turns to cook; in fact, I would often hope… read more

I had the incredible opportunity to stay at Simon's place for one month, and it was an amazing experience. I would need to write a whole article to fully express my gratitude for everything I got to experience. So many aspects of my stay were exceptional: the delicious food, the humor, the interesting work and tasks, the stimulating… read more

Simon loves good food and buy essentially local and quality provisions so I could also suggest some recipes and be free to cook them.
Tasks and missions were easy and not hard, mainly in the garden.
