Hi there,
Alexis: I am half Greek half French- a few years ago I left my life in Athens to take care and live at my grandparents old property. I spend most of my time in the property, with just some short trips to Athens to visit my family
SO WELCOME to my property, located at the edge of a small village in the north of the very green and mountainous island, Evia. Evia is the second largest island in Greece - a quiet and peaceful place with diversified natural attractions.
This beautiful old property has old buildings, there is also a big garden area and, as we love animals, a small farm.
Due to the size of the property, we would appreciate some helping hands who would like to support our project and discover our daily life! We would prefer hosting volunteers for long periods, such as 1 month or even more. We will be happy to make them feel like home!

General Maintenance
As the estate is located in a village, volunteers will have the opportunity to discover how is life in a Greek non touristic village, meet locals and discover + share local culture!
There are always different things to do. The help required is quite easy going. We do not expect very hard work, just help - And of course a cheerful disposition!
All year round:
- taking care of the animals of our small farm (feeding, cleaning)
- house and garden maintenance (cleaning, painting...)
Especially during Summer time (May to October), help is needed -apart from the above - in:
- help maintenance, cleanin, work the garden, as well as many other little things!

As our guests you would have a little room with bathroom. You may be sharing it with one other workawayer of the same sex if you are travelling on your own.
Your rooms - very basic - are located next to our house. You are welcome to prepare your meals in the kitchen independently, in which case we provide basic ingredients.
IMPORTANT: 1) Our dogs and cats are free to come in our house (not your rooms of course). If you have allergies in hair or dust you might be uncomfortable. 2) If you can't stand insects, afraid to get your hand dirty, than maybe you should find another host.
3) Our area is quite humid from November to May. If you are sensitive in humidity or dampness you shouldn't visit us during this period of the year.
Mostly exploring the beautiful nature by walk (forest, river, beach...)
The village is rather small but there are cafes, a bakery and 2 shops for basic needs.
