Description
We are a French family with three young children (ages 5, 4, and 2), living aboard an 18-ton, 28-barrel steel ketch sailboat. For the past three years, we've been traveling slowly, letting the wind set our course.
Life on board is rich and creative—we do Upholstery and many other forms of hands-on projects that come with sailing and living at sea.
We're happy to welcome a Workaway volunteer on board! Depending on your skills, you could help with a variety of tasks: sailing, boat maintenance, cooking, fishing, and of course spending time with the kids (teaching, playing, etc.).
There's always something to do, and plenty to learn in this unique floating lifestyle.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You'll gain insight and hands-on experience in sailing, seamanship, and the day-to-day workings of a liveaboard sailboat. You'll get a taste of the nomadic lifestyle—traveling slowly, living simply, and moving with the wind. It's also a chance to build meaningful connections with our family and the people we meet along the way, while discovering new cultures and ways of life.

We've spent some time in Tunisia, where our kids attended school—and now they speak a bit of Arabic! We love the idea of our children being exposed to different languages and cultures from a young age.Accommodation
The boat is clean and comfortable, and the Workawayer will have his/her own private cabin with a large bed. The galley is spacious and perfect for preparing tasty meals. There's a cozy deck saloon for shared moments and meals. We use dry toilets, and showers are on deck.
What else ...
We have a dinghy, of course, to go ashore when needed. We kindly ask that there's no smoking inside the boat. One important thing to note: since we don’t have a fixed address, the meeting point and end location of the stay will be arranged. If we happen to change countries during your time with us, the Workawayer must have a passport that allows them to continue traveling with us.
