Emily and Blake were a pleasure to host on our off grid property! They were friendly, fun, easy to spend time with and welcomed diverse conversations, learning about local cultures, problems and solutions. Emily and Blake are easy going, adventuresome, ready to try new things and up for a challenge or two. Every meal together included an engaging

They took their workaway commitment seriously, did a great job working in the forest and completed their project while with us. We now are ready for those winter freezes with our water line. We would recommend them as workawys to anyone seeking a great experience.

This was our first workaway experience and it now lives on as a treasure in our memory banks. We spent one week on the island and our work entailed creating a trail to insulate pipes for the winter. It was a task well suited to the timeframe of our stay and we were often accompanied by Maggie and Krzys to complete the mission. The work felt like a

We felt spoiled by delicious meals and never boring conversation on the balcony, ocean baths with neighboring seals, night swims with bioluminescence, endless animal sightings (including orcas!), and unrestricted access to paddle boarding, kayaking and biking. The week felt something like a perfect day repeating itself and we are so grateful to Maggie and Krzys for the sharing of their home, lifestyle, and knowledge. They have created a sanctuary during their years on the island and the work that allowed us to add to that was paid off and more by the cultural exchange they offered (we were not allowed to leave without being able to identify the local trees and birds!). Thank you again and again :)You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Miguel was our first workawayer and it really was an excellent experience. Miguel is thoughtful and kind, easily fell into pace with our lifestyle and was a good and diligent worker. His tasks included various outdoor chores, but he was primarily spitting wood using our wood splitter and then stacking the wood in our wood shed. We now have enough

This was my first workaway and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I was only able to stay one week yet I had so much time to explore the island. I went paddleboarding, kayaking, biking, and mushroom picking. Just from the house, I saw seals, eagles, otters, and soooo many hummingbirds. I didn't have any luck seeing whales but they are

The work wasn't hard and they made sure that I was comfortable. I spent most of the time splitting wood with a hydraulic splitter, which made it a lot easier. However, I imagine that other workawayers will do other tasks such as cleaning or helping around the property. Overall, I'm very grateful for my time here and recommend it to all. Thanks for the experience!!!Feedback
