    Description

We are a couple living on 10 acres with a small farm based on permaculture principles, organic vegetables and fruit trees, bee hives, 4 sheep for wool and connection and possibly more lambs to come, we are shepherding our sheep so they are part of the family as are the chickens and we are working towards self sufficiency where possible. Our family also includes 2 dogs, a Pomeranian called Percy and a Border Collie called River. One of our sons also lives here in a cabin. We live next to a wetland and are active in a friends group protecting a nearby lake system.
For accommodation we have a caravan with 2 single beds or 1 double which has a kitchen included and fridge etc.
We will provide evening meals in exchange for work during the day on weekdays. We are currently planning to modify our vegetable garden to include wicking beds and need help with the gardens, bees, sheep, building, vegies and fruit trees . Our property is in a rural area 20 minutes from the Victorian Surf coast beaches of Torquay and Anglesea and the Great Ocean Road. The Otway National Park and the Great Ocean Rd has many short and longer walks in the bush and along the coast. We are 20 minutes away from Geelong which is now the place to board the ferry for Tasmania as well. Our property is in a great position for the coast and all that is available in the Western District of Victoria, 1-2 hour travel to places like Daylesford and the 11 Apostles ,Warnambool and Melbourne by train, for example.

We have good internet that does extend to the caravan area and lovely areas to sit around the garden. I am retired although very busy with the property and music projects and Mel is studying counselling from home most of the time. The caravan could be arranged to have a desk at one end and the bed at the other.
