We had a great and friendly exchange with Steffi and Jonas. They stayed for a month and did a variety of chores: painting the living room and windows, woodstripping windows, cleaning and taking care of the animals. We also did some construction work. … read more the table saw! They are excellent hard workers: independent and responsible.
Jonas and Steffi were pretty busy with their video project, but we succeeded in doing some activities together.The highlight is probably watching the Northern Lights together on a field in the mountains!
We leave together like friends. It was a pleasure to share a month with them. The communication was great, we got along really well. And we admire their way to travel, trying not to take planes!
They can come back any time they want!

We were lucky enough to have Amy two weeks with us. Amy did a variety of tasks, including painting, weeding and gardening. I had a wonderful two weeks with Roel and Elisabeth. They were very welcoming, and made sure that I made the most of my time in the area. They were flexible with when I worked, meaning I could use my days off to explore Quebec City and the nearby national parks!

… read more weather wasn't so good. The room is huge and super comfortable, and the food was delicious! They also have an adorable cat called Smurf and some chickens that I loved hanging out with.
Baie-Saint-Paul is a gorgeous location, with beautiful walks and shops to check out. Roel and Elisabeth are fantastic hosts and I would fully recommend staying with them!

Je n'aurais pas pu rêver d'un meilleur premier workaway.
J'ai passé deux semaines merveilleuses avec Roel, Elisabeth et leur adorable petit chat, Smurf. J'avais ma propre chambre avec salle de bain dans leur jolie maison qu'ils ont complètement rénovée.
Nous avons travaillé ensemble autour de la maison.

… read more la neige. J'ai récolté des topinambours et planté des oignons. Dans la maison, j'ai fait quelques petites rénovations comme huiler le bois autour des fenêtres ou décaper les plinthes.
Je me suis vraiment sentie accueillie chez eux.
Ce sont de merveilleux cuisiniers, nous avons partagé de délicieux repas végétariens et vegan que j'ai envie de réessayer en rentrant en France. Nous avons regardé une série ensemble. Et j'ai découvert la magnifique région de Charlevoix grâce aux randonnées que nous avons faites. J'ai vraiment apprécié le temps et les échanges que j'ai eu avec Roel et Élisabeth.

Benjamin et Lisa ont séjourné chez nous pendant une dizaine de jours. Dans le jardin, ils ont principalement aidé à désherber le potager, les framboisiers, les mûriers et ajouter des copeaux. … read more travailler avec eux. Ils sont consciencieux, de bonne humeur et travaillent à un rythme soutenu. Ils sont aussi minutieux et travaillent bien de façon autonome. Benjamin et Lisa aiment socialiser, mais ils aiment aussi avoir du temps pour eux ; un bel équilibre dans la cohabitation. Ils étaient très intéressés par la culture locale et par nos habitudes de vie. Leur ouverture et leur respect ont contribué à un bel échange culturel. Ils ont participé également à la préparation des repas et on aimait bien prendre l’apéro ensemble! On a beaucoup aimé faire quelques excursions avec eux pour leur partager quelques attraits de la région. Les accueillir à la maison, c’était un peu comme recevoir des amis qu’on connait depuis longtemps. Un énorme merci à vous deux!

Une expérience de rêve.
Le workaway comme on l'aime. Élisabeth et Roel sont les meilleurs hôtes que vous pouvez rencontrer.
On a passé 10 jours merveilleux à leur côté sans oublier Smurf 😻, le petit chat de la maison.
On avait l'impression de vivre avec des amis.

La maison tout comme le quartier sont très calmes. Elle est à moins de 10 minutes à pied du centre.
Les repas étaient vraiment bons et on a découvert grâce à eux plein de produits locaux. Sans compter les randos où ils nous ont amené.
Coté travail, on aura fait du désherbage, du travail dans le jardin et de la peinture.
