Description
I have a large yard (1,800 m2) with a big veggie patch that needs an extra pair of hands! I live with my 2 teenage children (14 and 17) and my partner visits most weekends.
I have a 3 bedroom 2 story house with a piano and a cat. I have a very cute 1986 vintage caravan in the front yard for visitors. I work from home 3 days a week for a global carbon credits company.
We love to travel and meet new people and are also into outdoor adventures like hiking and camping. I would love some help keeping my garden in check. I have a half built orchard, a chook pen in need of repair and many other garden projects that need starting or finishing.
I live in a small village on the edge of Melbourne just around the corner from the train station and a short walk to the shops and parklands.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You are welcome to join us for family events or gathering with friends. We have a few bikes that can be used on the many tracks (including mtn bike single tracks) in our area or join me on my daily gravel ride.
We can teach you a little piano and guitar. We can share different recipes from curries to cakes. We can kick the footy on the oval or shoot some hoops and you can come watch some games as well.
We love to learn languages and will teach you all the cool local lingo.
You can join me at a free weekly yoga class.
And we can always watch a movie or binge a show together..
Basically we want to meet people from different cultures to enrich our lives.
Help
Mostly I have garden projects like finishing an orchard, repairing a chicken pen, tending to the veggie patch, general weeding and grass cutting.
Cooking and cleaning are also an option for rainy days.
Teaching my kids to play piano and guitar would also be welcomed.

Accommodation
We have a 1986 vintage caravan (super cute) which has a kitchenette, booth table and 2 sets of bunk beds.
You will have access to the bathrooms inside the house, the kitchen and living areas.
Meals will be provided and we will generally eat together. We eat all variety of foods and like to try new recipes. Both kids can cook and we tend to take it in turns.
What else ...
We are very close to the train and it's a 20 min train ride to a shopping centre.
There is a community house nearby with different activities including a free weekly yoga class.
I have bikes to borrow and there's a bike path across the rode.
There are many bush reserves nearby to walk in and explore.
The village has several shops - supermarket, chemist, restaurants, cafes, gift shops and a health food store with organic produce.
