During my memorable three-month stay on Inis Oirr with Éanna and his family, I was warmly welcomed into a unique world of tranquility. Operating a food truck for about six hours a day, the work was light and enjoyable. Éanna, the host, is a great man, always in a good mood, willing to teach and talk with you. Accommodation was comfortable,

I went into the experience to improve my English skills, which was achieved through interactions with people from all over the world. Despite Gaelic being the locals' primary language, they were very friendly and open to conversing in English and even taught me a few Gaelic words.
I extend my genuine gratitude to Éanna and his family for this surpassing experience. They are such good-hearted and caring people. For those seeking an extraordinary adventure and enriching experiences, I wholeheartedly recommend it! The island's cozy atmosphere and laid-back lifestyle make it the perfect place for a peaceful break. Working in Éanna's food truck and collaborating with the family were delightful experiences, and I'll forever cherish the moments from my time on Inis Oirr. I left the island with nothing less than lovely memories and new friends.

I spent almost four months with Eanna and his family on Inisherr and worked in his food truck during that time. My goal was to catch a break from busy student live at the university and to improve my English skills. Right from the start, I knew I was going to have an extremely good time because I was very warmly welcomed by the family. The island

I really enjoyed working in Eanna's food truck. It's very relaxed and the tourists are all very nice and accommodating. Besides working in the food truck, I also did other work for the family. The communication was always open and fair, so I felt that my work was valued. The accommodation was very comfortable. I had a room and a bathroom to myself. It was nice to have a retreat, especially when the weather is not so good ;)
My colleague and I had a fantastic dinner every night either from Eanna's mother or Eanna's wife Bernadette. The food was always delicious and varied.
Overall, I can only say that Eanna and his family are fantastic hosts. It's hard to put it all together in such a small text. I will never forget the time I spent at Inisherr. Many thanks to Eanna and his whole family for such a great experience. If you are looking for a quiet break paired with a varied job in a unique setting, this is definitely the place to be.You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Tim came to work for us during the summer and helped out in our food truck, which he often managed on his own. Tim was extremely polite to all of our customers and provided a lovely experience for them. As a worker, he was reliable, trustworthy and helpful. We enjoyed having Tim stay with us and we wish him all the best with his future plans!

Ignacio came to work for us during the summer. He is reliable, trustworthy, capable of any task that was given and has a very positive attitude to work and helping out. I had such an amazing experience during my almost 4-month stay in Inis Oirr working for Éanna and Bernadette. Honestly, there're just so many good things to say that summarizing it feels like a challenge in itself!

My responsibilities mostly revolved around running a food truck – cooking and serving for about 5 hours a day and, for the most part, it was light work. Plus, I was offered to take on other small jobs for some extra money. Éanna was a fantastic boss, upfront and fair. He stuck to our initial agreement and ensured I was compensated for every hour I put in.
Regarding the accommodation, I got a comfortable, spacious double room all to myself, complete with a private bathroom. No complaints there whatsoever!
My primary goal was to improve my English skills, and this position was a perfect fit. I got to interact with people from various English-speaking countries, honing my language skills in the best way possible. Even though Irish is the locals' first language, they were incredibly friendly and open to chatting in English.
Big thanks to Éanna and his entire family for welcoming me with open arms. This experience exceeded my expectations, and I'm truly grateful for the opportunity. For those considering this position, If you're up for an incredible adventure and some truly enriching experiences, I can't recommend it enough! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
