Description
We are a German/Polish couple, Michaela (72) and Krystyna (69), who live in the countryside of Turin (27 km), in an old house with three cats and one dog. The house is on top of a hill with a fantastic panorama on the Alps. Around us there is plenty of space that we try to manage as good as possible: a vegetable garden (synergic), a fruit yard, a forest and a great meadow with three beehives. One of us (Michela) still works for some days a week, but the other (Krystyna) is now retired but works (a lot!) around the house. We need help for the basic and extraordinary jobs: help in the vegetable garden, feed the animals, repair and construct shelters, chopping wood for the heating, help to keep clean our house...
We can offer you a nice room, good food (mostly italian, but also nordic dishes), plenty of friendly people around us and an exciting big city if you need sometimes more culture and night-life. -

The volunteer who comes to us can learn Italian or German language, Italian cooking and how to keep bees and the concept of (not only synergic) gardening.

Help
We can accept one worker (female or male, any age) , preferable for a minimum of 3 weeks, max three months. An own insurance is necessary. We expect 4/5 hours volunteering per day, 5 days a week (flexible time) in change of bed and meals. The workawayer should take care of his room and clothes, but we pretend also a normal help for the cleaning of the common part of the house. He should be able to prepare some dishes, but of course at least for dinner we prepare and eat together.

Accommodation
We can offer a nice guestroom and we will share a large living space (with piano). The social life around us and our house is quite intense and Turin offers a lot of cultural and social events.

What else ...
The distance from our house to our small village is 1,5 km. To reach the nearest city or Turin you can take the bus. But often we can arrange a car pool. Our area has nice places to visit and also the Alps and the seaside aren't far away.
