PLEASE BEFORE MESSAGING ME - READ MY FULL LISTING. THIS IS FOR ONE PERSON ONLY!! Please read the dates - I need someone in March or April next year- 2027! This is not for a summer position!
All work required is to be done on my home and garden. Someone STRONG is required. For around two weeks - maybe longer, depending on skills.

    ---
We are a couple originally from the UK, lived in Australia for several years and now reside on the beautiful Island of Corfu with our 4 beautiful rescue cats.

We would like to welcome a workawayer (Just one) to stay in their own house overlooking the Ionian sea, with all meals included. The house is detached and private, next door to our main house, situated in a seaside town, a few kilometres away from Corfu town - we have supermarkets, tavernas, a beach and a bus stop just a few minutes walk away.

This is a great opportunity for someone to stay in a beautiful location in return for around 5 hours a day help, gardening/pruning land, strimming and some painting and maintenance , with the rest of the time left to explore nearby towns and beaches and to enjoy the sights of this delightful Island. There are several Greek language classes in town so you can learn the language if you wish and immerse yourself into the community. I am a very keen cook and love to make different dishes from all around the world and we love to have barbeques some evenings. There are yoga classes nearby too.

Although Corfu is known for its tourism -We live in a mainly Greek community and enjoy the laid back Greek way of life, although we are near the main tourist areas and beaches. Greek classes can be taken if you wish to learn the language. There are many small villages near by giving you an insight into traditional Greek culture and their way of life, where we can take you. There are galleries and museums outlining Greek traditions and the history of Corfu, nearby in town.

  • Help

    Help

Help with gardening, external painting, clearing of Olive groves/weeds as we live on land and in an area of olive trees, help with pruning these would be great. Some general tasks and maintenance are required inside the home too. Would suit someone strong as carrying of a strimmer is necessary. You need to be strong to be able to carry a strimmer up a hill!

The house is in a quiet, (yet very convenient to all amenities) location, set amongst olive groves although there is a beach across the road - great for swimming and snorkelling, with some great marine life. The bus is a two minute walk down and takes you into town or the other way into the lovely village Benitises. Everything is provided including all toiletries, bedding, towels and all meals. We like to have barbeques and the menu is different each day. I am pescatarian (mostly vegetarian) but my husband is a meat eater - so I can cater for all diets, including vegan.

The Workawayer would be staying in the rental property although no work is required on that property.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Perama is one of the first seaside towns in Corfu and is very close to the beautiful Corfu town with its Venetian architecture and cobbled streets and lively nightlife. There are many places of historical interest around the Island and much of Corfu is still untouched by tourism, with small traditional Villages throughout. We are a very casual friendly couple - we love animals and have four rescue cats. From the house, there are walking trails that lead to mountains or beaches. The famous Pontikonisi (mouse island) and the Vlacherna Monastery are within walking distance or a short bus ride away.
