Description
You will get to live in paradise. The remote pristine beaches and rainforest of Costa Rica are rich with wildlife. I am looking for a volunteer that can commit for 4 week minimum if we are a good fit. You will reconnect with nature while visiting Corcovado National Park. The 11 room eco-lodge offers clients a quiet experience in nature with tours, boats, kayaks, swimming pool, private beach. This is a family run business. The family started the project in the late 1980's and the project has become an established business and community leader. The project supports all of the local schools, the local clinic, police station, conservation area, private reserves and local initiatives with planning and zoning. We are considered leaders in Costa Rica tourism. We only hire local people and we offer positions to international volunteers and students bridge the language and cultural gap with the dedication of our core team. Our full time local staff consists of 40 members. Helping our team will offer volunteers the opportunity to practice Spanish and have a cultural experience.

The project is a short walk to a authentic village. There is a clinic, school, small shops, and cafes in the village. The coastal trail begins right at our doorstep. There are no ATMs in our community. There are public water taxis to reach the project twice a day from a larger community. There is one of the premier national parks just minutes away. There is also a marine reserve ideal for snorkeling and SCUBA diving. We are fortunate to live and breath in such pure nature. We hope that travelers that come to the project will be adventurous, love to be outside and be physically fit in order to enjoy the area. The main mode of transportation is walking up and down trails.

We initially agreed to stay 4 weeks but ended up staying 10, and that speaks volumes, I think.

As I worked in the low season, the number of guests ranged from 1 to 10, so life was not very busy. The lodge is quite remote, so be prepared to spend a lot of time on your own, especially in low… read more
