Description
We are a super friendly small family of 3 plus our very old dachshund dog, Lando. We own and operate our restaurant along with our 4 boutique rooms. My husand manages the restaurant and I manage the rooms, we work together to get all aspects of our property functional. Our dedicated restaurant staff works in the restaurant and you will not be working in the restaurant. We are looking for a couple (or two friends) to help to manage aspects of guest interactions, checking in/out, cleaning rooms, keeping the guest areas maintained and clean, recycling organization and trash, property maintenance such as painting, cleaning gutters, gardening projects, keeping garden beds cleaned out, weeds pulled, plants watered and looking beautiful etc. We thoroughly enjoy those that have skills in horticulture and creativity to help us grow. We are always looking for ways to improve our guest experiences and time here. Others skills would be appreciated and welcomed are photography, social media content and videos. Handyman work/light construction, proper usage of handling of tools, building small projects. With the help of others we'd love to continue building on our lovely piece of property. We are in the heart of Dominical that offers a unique laid back surfer town vibe where you can enjoy the jungle, the sea and the abundant nature that is all around us.
Ideal couple will be self motivated, driven to learn and grow, we don't want to micromanage or feel like its a job so we rely on you to be honest with your work and skills, be confident and have the ability to do your part with a positive energy and smiling demeanor. We live on the property and are always here to help with big projects, questions or assistance with handling something you may not know about. We enjoy doing beach clean ups, and river clean ups. We repaired the old basketball court by the beach by building a new backboard and hoop for the community and will continue to contribute as much as we can. We normally put on a community Halloween kickoff on our property by making games, handouts and creating fun for all the kids. So if this sounds like the place for you please message us.
5 days a week, we can accommodate working together or separate hours
This would be a great opportunity to immerse in the costa rican culture. We have so many diverse people from all over the world coming through our small surfer town, making it a unique hub to meet people. We also have a restaurant on property where you can learn from the staff about the area and their culture, practice Spanish or hang out with the locals and tourist.
Dominical is not only a destination for surf enthusiasts but also for those interested in biodiversity and nature. The region is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna. The Marino Ballena National Park, located a short distance away, is famous for its coral reef formations and marine life, including humpback whale watching during their migration season. We also have many waterfalls in the area for hiking as well as many national refuges.

The opportunity to be close to nature is abundant with an amazing opportunity to better yourself, this is a great place to learn to surf, immerse in the Costa Rican Culture or learn more about nature, practice Spanish, hone your yoga skills or learn pura vida. We enjoy working on projects to help the community and work on our property as well.
Help
We are looking for a couple or pair of friends that can work well together to manage all aspects of guest interactions, checking in/out, cleaning rooms, cleaning and maintaining the guest kitchen( this is for our guest to use during their stay/it is not the restaurant/outdoor kitchen) throughout the day and light property maintenance, local community event organizing, gardening projects, etc.
We prefer longer stays 2-3 months ideal.
Rainey (Wet) season is April-mid Nov- town is slower, it normally rains some part of the day, less crowded beaches, more chill, buggy time of year.
Summer (Dry) season is Dec-March - busy season, streets are bustling, more events in area, HOT.

Accommodation
We have room only for one couple or a pair. Single room with private bathroom, queen bed, a/c, fridge and coffee maker. Daily meal provided through our restaurant Wednesday-Monday and access to community kitchen onsite with basic groceries provided weekly.

Within a short distance there are tons of amazing beaches, waterfalls, panoramic ocean and jungle lookouts, nature reserves, National parks, and countless eco tours. Right here in Dominical there’s amazing surf, fishing right behind our river front property, paddle boarding, kayaking and more.
City buses run through town all day. Taxis are also available.
