    Description

I am looking for help to interact and help exercise my sled dogs in summer and winter.
I need someone who loves dogs is physically fit ,with good balance and enjoys being out in nature.
I am looking for a happy ,positive person who loves adventure and dogs too.
You will be required to help out in a range of activities from dog care ,to helping with cabin chores like cooking and cleaning .shovelling snow ,replacing straw in dog houses and generally keeping the dog yard and cabin in good shape

My dogs like us are aging ! Now I have 10 older -retired dogs that do not pull a sled anymore. They are free run each morning on trails direct from dog yard.

The remaining 6 dogs are "strong energetic and feisty" and are foot run with a harness attached by rope to our waist .I run two at a time maximum and they will pull you through mud water and all other obstacles along the trail.
Helpers can run these "young punk teenagers" one at a time.
In winter these young guys are the only ones now that pull a sled.

In summer I take the dogs on regular runs along local trails.
My helper is welcome to be part of these runs or can stay home with the other dogs left behind in dog yard and interact with them.

In fall and winter the young dogs are harnessed and run as a team of dogs pulling a 4 wheeler until enough snow arrives to pull a dog sled.
We will be doing regular recreational runs through out the winter and spring.

You will stay in a self contained cabin which has elevtricity and is heated by oil stove and woodstove.

I will provide meals and we will mostly share meals together.
My sled dog home and training life is in a fun ,happy and positive environment .
This is a great opportunity for fit ,adventurous dog lovers who also love the wilderness and adventuring in it.

Sometimes my helper may be required to look after the dogs whilst im away for periods of up to 1-2 days to 2 weeks .
This will involve feeding and excercising the dogs solo whilst im away.
You will have my cabin to look after and use as your home .

In this event you will come shopping with me and can purchase your food requirements at an allocation of $100 per week .
If you purchase food in excess of this allocation you will need to pay for the extra cost.

See guest reviews for photos and a general idea of the experience.
