Description
Help in the house and teach my children English and German. Come and enjoy the hospitality of an Uzbek village.
We are a family of 7 with 3 daughters and 2 boys living in a village near Ishtixon, one hour from Samarkand. We are very eager to learn about different cultures and languages and love to have guests. I work as a Maths teacher in our village school, maybe you can also join me there and hold lessons in English, German or Russian.
We also have a little dog called Waska and are growing our own vegetables and fruits, everything organic.Types of help and learning opportunities

As we live a bit further from the bigger cities, we and the people of our village are very happy to welcome guests from other countries and cultures. You can experience traditional Uzbek culture and traditions and you will likely get invited by our friends and neighbours. You can celebrate our fests with us together. There's no better place to experience authentic Uzbek life, cuisine and culture. It's also not far from Samarkand so you can easily go there on the weekend.
We also hope to learn about your traditions and culture and broaden our horizon.Projects involving children

Help
So the main idea is language practice because my family wants to learn better English and German and Russian. It would be nice if you were a native speaker or at least fluent in any of those languages. And it would be beneficial if you are good with children, my youngest son is 8. Other than that, we are flexible. Either you can help us with construction around the house or daily tasks like cooking and doing the dishes or shopping. We also work as grape pickers in the summer, so you can also experience Uzbek farmwork. Moreover, you can help us harvesting our apple or pear trees in summer.

We have a big house and you can have a room for yourself. There is space for up to two people so you can come with a friend or your partner.
Let us know if you are vegetarian or have a special diet, we are flexible and see what we can do. We usually eat our meals together in traditional Uzbek style. What else ...
Cleanliness is important for us, so please wash your hands before eating.
We are now reconstructing a shower so for now you'd have to help yourself with baskets.

I stayed at Aktam's home for 2 nights. He and his family are so sweet and friendly, and they speak English fluently.
While I stayed there, I did farming work with his children, played at kindergarten near the home, and chatted with neighbours. It was beautiful place.
All of foods that his wife cooked were… read more
