Description
We have a family-run business in Wadi Rum, Jordan. We live and run our company from Rum village, about a 1-hour drive northeast of Aqaba.
We offer different types of tours. Jeep tours, camel rides, hiking and scrambling tours, and trekking. Trips can vary from a full day to five days. For overnight stays, we have a desert camp that can host up to 30 guests.
Further, we also have a cave where people can sleep outdoors. Our guests come from all over the world and are mostly independent travelers who are looking for a 'once-in-a-lifetime experience'. We could use some help with the daily operations. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
While you stay with us, you will have the chance to experience real Bedouin life as part of our team and, therefore, our lives. You will learn about our culture and traditions and see how we live and work nowadays. You will eat our traditional food and drink our famous Bedouin tea. And, of course, you will have the chance to learn some Arabic. Business-wise, you will learn the logistics of running a camp where basically everything has to be brought in from outside.

Help
We are happy to host volunteers to help us at our office and camp. We could use help keeping our office, where we welcome guests, clean. We also need help with laundry and camp preparations. At camp, extra hands for cleaning and preparing the sleeping tents, and for daily cleaning of the bathroom building, are welcome. Every then and now we can also use some assistance with general maintenance of the campsite.
Also, we have animals, camels, goats, and sheep, and you can help care for them. -

Accommodation
We provide a place to sleep, either a (shared) room in our house in the village or a 2-person sleeping tent in our camp. Note that bathroom facilities are shared.
Further, we provide food, drinks, and bottled water. Of course, you can also use our washing machine and Internet connection in our office. -
What else ...
Wadi Rum is a mesmerizing desert that draws travelers from around the world. We will show you the famous and lesser-visited areas, so you'll understand why travelers love Wadi Rum so much! And, of course, you can explore some of it on your own.
Plus, Petra is just two hours away, and Aqaba, with its fantastic underwater world, is only one hour away. -
