    Description

Hi there! I am an English teacher and the founder of a language school in Uzbekistan. My project aims to provide local students with a chance to practice English with people from all over the world. I am an experienced host and have welcomed many international travelers into my home before.
Our area is famous for its warm hospitality and rich Silk Road history. You will love our local food and traditions! In my family, we speak English and we are excited to share our culture with you. You'll be helping our students gain confidence while experiencing the authentic lifestyle of an Uzbek family. I also employ a small team of local staff who are eager to meet you and help you settle in.

In our home, you will not just be a volunteer, but a part of our family. My wife and I love cooking traditional Uzbek dishes together, and we would be happy to teach you how to make Palov or Somsa. We are a quiet, education-focused family who enjoys meaningful conversations about history and world cultures in the evenings. We respect your privacy but are always open to sharing a cup of tea and hearing about your life experiences.

By staying with us, you will experience the famous Uzbek hospitality firsthand. You will live like a member of our family, sharing traditional meals like Plov and Somsa. I love sharing our rich history, from the Silk Road stories to our local customs. In return, I hope to learn about your world and culture. We often organize social activities where you can connect with our local community and students in a friendly environment. You will gain a deep understanding of our lifestyle while sharing your own unique knowledge and skills with us.

Our village offers a peaceful and authentic glimpse into rural Uzbek life, away from the busy tourist crowds. We are located very close to the historic city of Kokand (Qo'qon), famous for the Palace of Khudayar Khan and its rich silk-weaving traditions. The Fergana Valley is known as the 'Pearl of Uzbekistan' for its beautiful nature and hospitable people. Getting here is easy; you can take a scenic train ride from Tashkent, and we will personally meet you at the Kokand railway station.

Our language center is a local community project located in our home village. It is a legally registered family business under the 'self-employed' (o‘zini o‘zi band qilish) status, where my wife and I provide affordable language circles for local children and teenagers. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team and help our students practice their English speaking skills.

As a volunteer, you will be helping in a genuine rural setting, making a real impact on the lives of local kids who rarely get to meet foreigners. Your main role will be participating in 'Speaking Clubs' and having informal conversations to help students gain confidence. You might also assist us in creating fun classroom activities or sharing stories about your travels and culture. No professional teaching experience is required—just a friendly attitude and a desire to share your language. We will work together as a family, and we will be there to guide you every step of the way.
