    We are a group of four women artists who also love to have beautiful gardens. We live separately, but near each other in a rural Ontario community in the Northumberland Hills. We enjoy meeting and working with new people from various parts the world.

    Public transportation in our area is limited. We do have a bicycle available for your use. As well, we are happy to give you a tour of local rural sites or a ride to a train station where you can go explore more of Ontario or further destinations in Canada.

    Help

    The gardening tasks will involve tilling the soil, weeding, pruning , hauling brush and creating new garden spaces. Sometimes you will work along side with us. Sometimes you will be working independently.

    Each of us speak English. One of us speaks Finnish and French. We all have traveled to many parts of the globe …. places in Asia, Europe, South and Central America. We welcome Workawayers from all parts of the world.

    You will have your own single or double bed in a private room along with a private and/or shared bathroom.

    Meals will be provided. We are excellent cooks. However, if you prefer to prepare your own meals, provisions and a kitchen will be available for you to do so.

    Coming to the community of Trent Hills in Northumberland County, Workawayers will have the opportunity to go biking and hiking on our trails , swim , kayak, or canoe in the area’s many rivers and lakes …. and become familiar with the local culture while attending various festivals, art shows, music performances, Indigenous events such as pow wows that our rich Northumberland culture has to offer.
