Description
Our education centre is all about permaculture and autonomy based in Chebba, Tunisia. it is composed of three houses, three urban gardens and one off-grid farm. it is run by a married couple, Nadia and Elyes, living with one dog and five cats.
Since 2016, we settled in Dar Emmima striving for autonomy. we do urban gardening, food conservation, dry land farming, eco-constructions, we have more and more yields every year, we host trainings about permaculture.Types of help and learning opportunities

we are professional and passionate permaculture educators. We love to share about permaculture principles and design, soil regeneration, biodiversity, resilience, food conservation, garden plant based cuisine and more.
We will be happy to teach some arabic or Tunisian and help workawayers have a rich cultural and learning experience.

a separate house with a bedroom, a living room, shower, fully equipped kitchen is allocated just for volunteers.
We provide basic (vegan) groceries and expect volunteers to cook for themselves and be autonomous, we may share some dinners in the main house, but we often get busy with other work after the 4 to 5 working hours together.What else ...
the main volunteers house is 200 meters away from a beautiful beach and a costal forest. bicycles are available to travel around the city. our city is 45 min away from the city of Mahdia, Sfax and el Jem.

I was the only workawayer at that time. I liked very much to live alone in an old house close to the beach.

Elyes lent us a detached house, with a garden, where we happily created a vegetable garden.
